Booked 1 night accomodation, incl breakfast for an Economy Twin room. Whether arriving by train or bus, this hotel cannot be beaten for location. It is right there. It is very close to the old town too. We were graciously greeted, answering all our questions including recommendations for dinner. All staff we encountered were very professional. They looked after our bags after check out too. There is a lift serving all floors. We were allocated Room 409. Yes, it is not spacious, (we expected this as this is what we booked!) but it is serviceable. The beds are comfortable. There is tea/coffee making, a safe and a mini bar. The room overlooks the bus and train station. The window is openable. Wifi works very well. It was very quiet and we slept well. Our ensuite is cosy, but again works well. Everything looks newish and very clean. Its minimalist decor, not only in our room, but also corridors, reception and breakfast room. Breakfast is served on the 1st floor. There is a wide variety of food, regularly replenished with the coffee coming from a machine. We booked an Economy Twin Room and that is what we got. The breakfast was very good and location excellent.
Well located and easy to find, a very short walk to the town centre. Villach is a lovely town with absolutely gorgeous surroundings. The room was clean but very small, almost student accommodation small, the wifi was horrendous with very intermittent usability. Breakfast was very nice though :)
The hotel is well located, adjacent to the railway station & a 5 minute walk to the centre of Villach. The room was modern & comfortable & the bathroom large with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent- a great choice of quality produce. The hotel doesn't have a bar, which is the only thing preventing me awarding a "5".
The room was clean, big and with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was pristine and the bath most comfortable. The staff was helpfull and friendly. Parking in front of the hotel didn't cosy anything. Breakfast included continental and full English.
Very good hotel, a few steps from the train station (which surprisingly is not surrounded by weirdos) And a little walk to the city centre. The hotel had a massive variety of breakfast, which was very tasty and satisfying. What is not making this hotel a 4* hotel are the small rooms, no air conditioning, no balconies and no many TV channels etc etc... If you're a smoker like i am, good luck if you are on the top floor. This though is a good hotel, due to its location and surroundings.
A four star hotel which has no air condition and no restaurant?! I had asked for a quiet room in my booking and they gave me a room towards the noisy street. They were not willing to change that (and there were rooms towards tha back yard available!). Also, I could have needed some assistance with some travel issues, but the staff was unwilling to even try. The supervisor would be there the next day - when I was due to leave again. If you want a fast WLAN access: 10€/day extra (slow access free). At best a solid 2-star accommodation - located near the train station.
This is a very nice hotel right in city center and has a 24 hour front desk. We had a great experience as we were late while reaching but still the welcome was very nice. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. At breakfast you could find wide variety of food. Overall it was really nice to start the trip with.
Comfy bed, good shower with high shower head (adjustable) which was great for us tall ones , very nice breakfast. Quiet room. Reception is helpful. Directly opposite the train station. Only thing we didn't like was the WiFi, it was spotty and only allowed 2 devices.
Directly at the train and bus station, at the border of the old town. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and rich. There's only one elevator which is annoying in the morning. They speak German, English and Italian at the reception.
You can tumble off the train and drag your bags about 100 steps and you are at the door of this hotel. Not long on looks, one might be concerned that this could be a classic "train station" hotel but that is not the case. The decor is a little odd, but the rooms are good, very clean and quiet, the location is a nice stroll away from the Altstadt and many lovely restaurants, AND this is one of the best breakfasts I have had in Europe. Excellent selection and quality, something for everyone.
