Villa Papillon, located on a hill in a dominant position, enjoys an exceptional panoramic view of the bay of Castellammare del Golfo, in the west of Sicily.

The villa develops on three levels; on the ground floor there is a living area with equipped kitchen, a panoramic terrace furnished for suggestive outdoor breakfasts, 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower.
From the lounge, an internal staircase leads to the attic with 1 splendid double bedroom and 1 bathroom with shower.
The exterior is characterized by the splendid sea view that dominates the entire scenario.
Here we find the BBQ area equipped for outdoor dining, a solarium area with panoramic views and private parking. Totally independent floor area minus 1 room reserved for owners for customer assistance when needed.

The nearby Zingaro Nature Reserve is a park of rare beauty, its many coves with crystal clear waters and the rich fauna and flora make this place a pearl of the Mediterranean. The temple and the Greek theater of Segesta which stand on the nearby hills. Many other destinations easily accessible such as Erice, Trapani and the Saline.

The home was beautiful with an amazing view of the bay, especially in morning! Maurizio was always available and provided many recommendations for day trips and restaurants. There is a great market 5 minutes from the house with cheese, pasta, meat and fresh bread. In all, the location was perfect and I would definitely give it my recommendation.Thank you Maurizio!

Fantastic experience!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly received by Maurizio. We were given recommendations for attractions and restaurants in the area. Location is wonderful with a breathtaking view. The road up is not for the faint of heart but it was nothing for us to drive up. The home was nicer than pictured in the listing and the outdoor shower was a pleasant surprise! Wonderful location, wonderful hosts!

We stayed at Villa papillon for 18 days. The house was wonderful and the location was perfect. The multiple patios provided shade and comfort for all the different times of the day. The kitchen and outdoor grill were wonderful. Maurizio was a very gracious host. I would recommend this location as an excellent home base to explore Western Sicily

Hillside view home in Scapello

Maurizio was very accommodating and helpful in familiarizing us to the area. Mid October was a great time to visit as the beaches were not crowded and it was easy to get into restaurants. The drive up to the house is a bit daunting at first, but not so bad after a couple of trips...about a 3 minute ride to the market. Loved having the fireplace at night and the water pressure was great! An overall excellent spot for a 5 day mini vacation! Thank you Maurizio!!

Great view and villa

The owner of the villa is taking care of you personally and he does that very well. All three bedrooms and the two washrooms were very clean. The villa has three terraces: two with dinning table, one with a large BBQ and one with an exceptional view.

Maurizio was on top of communication and he was very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants and activities. What was missing from the listing was the need for a car. We were renting one anyway but we were surprised to see that we could not walk everywhere. Nearby villages were interesting and the nature reserve is a must. Overall stay was very good.

Very good

It is a very good house to rent, but keep in mind that you need a car on a very abrupt road. It’s not easy driving there at night. The living areas are smaller than they appear on the pictures. The check in was made at 18:00 but we arrived at 14:00. The wait was long. Maurizio, the owner, brought us to a local restaurant while waiting, which was excellent. He gave us alot of good addresses. Phoned every day to see if we had a good day and needed something. Overall, great experience.

Beautiful custom home in the hills

Maurizio was a great host. He met us at the beach nearby showed us around the city and then we followed him to the home. It was in the hills on a narrow road only experienced drivers recommended if manual car. The house was designed by him and is gorgeous. Beautiful views of the sicily countryside and Mediterranean sea. The house is near a great local market and bar that had everything you need to start your day. Very close to the best beaches as well. Highly reccomend.

We had a lovely stay at Maurizio’s house, the house with the terrace and beautiful view of the ocean was a joy. We could pick lemons and figs in the garden. Maurizio was a perfect host and gave us many recommendations. You do need a car to get around

Ottima sistemazione

Villa molto bene equipaggiata con tutto ciò che può essere utile, pulizia ottima. La posizione è magnifica, sulla collina sopra Scopello dalla quale si possono facilmente raggiungere in auto i bellissimi dintorni. Al ritorno dalle spiagge è bellissimo rilassarsi al fresco della bella terrazza tra alberi di limone e ulivi con un panorama eccezionale. Il proprietario ci ha consegnato le chiavi in anticipo sull’orario, dopo averci accompagnato a vedere la spiaggia ed i negozi consigliati. È stato molto cortese e disponibile. Senza dubbio da consigliare.

maison avec une belle vue mer

cette maison, au calme, se situe en haut d'une colline avec une très belle vue mer, proche de Scopello et la réserve naturelle de Zingaro. La plage la plus proche est à 15 mn en voiture (bondée en juillet, avec parking payant). la maison et conforme à l'annonce bien que moyennement entretenue et propre. (frigo et douche sale, extérieurs non entretenus, cendriers plein de mégot, balai et serpillière qui trainent...) Elle est cependant bien équipée. le propriétaire nous a bien accueilli et montré quelques petites plages aux environs. (pour info, il ne parle ni anglais, ni français). il a cependant passé le week end, avec une autre personne, dans un chambre indépendante à l'arrière de la maison... on a moyennement apprécié même s'ils se sont montré discret.... Après notre départ, une ouverture de fenêtre était apparement cassée, nous ne l'avons pas vu, cela nous a été imputé 50 euros... la région de Scopello est très belle, mais il faut savoir qu'il y a énormément de monde, que les plages sont minuscules et bondées, tous les parkings sont payants et qu'il y a des déchets partout.
