Amazing stay! Right in the center of the walled city, close to everything, great staff, beautiful hotel, really nice pool, breakfast that was included was delicious. Only down side is that the bed was a little hard but I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return.

Great property right on the heart of the walled city. Hotel with basic amenities for those looking for great location and place to rest at night.

Overall I enjoyed this hotel however there were small issues with the stay. First was that even though we booked almost two months in advance, the hotel waited till the day of check in to email me (in spanish) saying that they were unable to accommodate us and that they transferred our reservation to another hotel 10 minutes (car ride) a way that we had looked at but did no meet our needs. After spending 20 minutes disputing this with them, they were magically able to accommodate us. My mother accidentally broke a glass in the room on our second day there but yet on day six the remaining glass was still on the floor which means they didn't sweep. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was friendly. It is in a great location! Although we had little issues, I would stay here again.

Nice roof deck. 1 and a half blocks from Torre del Reloj.Nice that it has an elevator.

we spent three nights there and the staff was very helpful and patient. The rooms were all very clean and the location was great. The rooftop seating area was a pleasant surprise.

Hotel Don Pedro de Heredia is a well-run, well-located comfortable place to stay, providing a very good breakfast and having a very accommodating multi-lingual staff. It is unlikely there will be anything you don't enjoy about your stay.

Wow, more than expected. Great staff, couldn't do enough for me. Great location in old city.Room very nice, breakfast over the top.Nice room.

We loved Cartagena, the Hotel and the whole experience! Very attentive, helpful staff eventhough English was limited, but we could still communicate every where. Rooms are small, but with the king size bed we had no problem. Bathroom was really tiny, that is not for big ( huge ) people for sure! We had hot water all the time, AC worked very well, so no complaint. Our room was on the fifth floor, great view, same floor the beautiful breakfast terrace. Just amazing, lovely views to the city all around, gorgeous flowers! Buffet breakfast is huge, one can eat practically anything! From simple cereal, OJ, coffee to ordered omlettes, eggs in different cooking preference, real colombian hot breakfast, lots of pastries, fruits, real fruit juices! Its huge! Usually I eat my breakfast for an hour, trully relaxing, enjoying everything.

The hotel is located within old Cartagena, witching the walled premises. It is very clean, and maintained well. Great for the price.

I loved were this hotel was at. Me and my sister had a great time and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.

great price, center of everything, beds were a little hard

heart of the city, good value. the beds were very hard but actually turned out to be good for my back. the breakfast was free and good. we almost got locked out one night because the person at the front desk fell asleep and they lock the doors at night.

Really good experience overall. The hotel has problems with its wifi, and on the last day the hot water was not functioning, but this was not a serious problem in a city where the temperature was around 98 degrees F and the humidity always high.

good location. good breakfast. pool seemed like it wasn't working but it was. beds are really hard but it was actually good for my back. front doors get locked at night. one night we got locked out and had to bang on the doors and ring the bell until the hotel guy woke up from his nap to let us in. other than that everyone was pretty friendly.

I went to Hotel Don Pedro de Heredia and the people are very friendly and they went out or their way to accommodate me. I got to the hotel earlier than planned and they allow me to use another room at not extra cost until my room became available. The calls were free of charge and the personnel were very kind and modest. I do recommend this hotel to anyone who is simple and want to be left alone. I loved it. As soon as I was settled they showed me a map of the City and places to visit. I visited the Museum of Gold in the Old City. It was a fantastic experience. The only thing I missed but was clearly stated before hand was the absence of a restaurant/bar on the premises; otherwise it was perfect for my lifestyle. I would also have enjoyed bigger bathrooms but that was the only objection I had.

Centrally located...easy walk to everything in the walled city. Staff, especially Jesse, very helpful. Charming old colonial building with wood beans throughout. Our room on third floor one of only 3 with balcony on the street. Good street noise in day but okay at night...didn't keep us up. Interior rooms would be quieter and less $ with only windows opening on courtyard. Beds comfortable if a little hard. Everything was very clean. Bathroom small but functional with good hot water. A/C was great and necessary. Rooftop breakfast area is great with Yorgy cooking up eggs to order. There is an additional rooftop arriba where you can sunbath in day and enjoy your own drinks in the warm evening breeze. The pool on ground floor is small but good for refreshing dip. If you don't mind not having a bar & restaurant in the hotel, this is the place to stay for charm and as reasonable price. It is our choice upon returning.

The best place to stay in Cartagena is the walled city and accommodation in that area is usually very expensive. This hotel offers a great location (a very central place inside the walled city) at a great value. Very clean and comfy rooms with the basic set up, nothing luxurious but exactly what you need to have a quiet rest after a day of touring around Cartagena. The staff was fantastic, always friendly and willing to help. I have been in Cartagena several times (I am Australian resident, originally from Colombia) and I know the city quite well. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.
