Family break by the lake

We had such a fantastic stay at Pine Lake Resort in Carnforth. The setting is absolutely beautiful ā€“ waking up to views over the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. The lodges were spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Travelling with two toddlers, we were really impressed with how family-friendly the resort is. The little ones loved the kiddy play area and there was plenty to keep them entertained throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the facilities on-site (including the pool, restaurant, and activities) made it a perfect mix of relaxation and fun. Itā€™s also a great base for exploring the Lake District and Yorkshire dales which what we did. Highly recommend Pine Lake Resort. Weā€™ll definitely be returning.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The coffee machine in the room was extremely dirty, and I had to request a replacement myself. The room cleanliness was also below acceptable standards I expected much higher standards, especially from a property managed by Hilton. Unfortunately, this stay fell short of my expectations, and I would not consider returning again.

Fantastic base for the lake district. Staff were all really friendly. Site was quiet. No being woken up at night or in the morning. Leisure facilities were decent for a small site. My child had fun in the hour fun session they have in the pool. Crazy golf, ping pong, tennis and a playground for younger kids. The watersports centre is resonably priced. One of my children did kayaking and another the sofa jet ski type thing lots of fun had. The restaurant was nice enough, standard pub food and very decent prices. The lodges themselves were modern and had everything you would need. Only negative was the hairdryer set on fire and nearly singed my hair but reception apologetic. Dining table had crumbs on when we arrived so cleaned down but other than that really impressed and would definitely consider returning.

Too compact for a big family.

We go there almost every year, but this time, the lodge given is too compact for a family of 5, especially the toilet seats are very compact and uncomfortable. Was not aware there are different sizes of lodges.

The cabins are a good size and have everything you need. The only disappointing part was that the cabin wasnā€™t on the lake but a row back, so it wasnā€™t as advertised. Be careful when booking if you want to be on the water

Nice and cosy!

The place was cosy and equipped with all the essentials at a modest standard. We were a bit disappointed not to have the full lake view. The staff were very friendly, though we were surprised that towels are only changed every four days for the price we paid.
