Good location and easy to find but i would advise looking for street parking as hotel charge £14. Facilities were as to be expected and all staff were very professional. A good nights sleep had followed by a great breakfast

I have been staying at this hotel every month for the last year and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, the reception staff are always polite and helpful and I am always provided with a quiet room on a high floor ( which is my preference), the rooms are always clean, tidy and very spacious with separate bathroom which has a separate shower cubicle and bath I have used the gym a few times which is well equipped The added bonus for me is the underground parking ( separate charge) , definitely worth staying here if you come to Cardiff

Loved the hotel, loved the view, great location, car parking is reasonably priced, had a great nights sleep.... only let down was, weirdly, the staff kept walking in our room - while we was in it! First time, there was a quick knock on the door & before I could get up off the bed, the lady was there in my room! To hand a Over a lovely “happy anniversary gift”. I took it as maybe she didn’t know the room was engaged & wouldn’t normally come in as quickly as she did. Then about an hour later, A man suddenly came in our room! No knocking & completely husband jumped up & asked him what was he doing & he replied He was here to fill up the mini bar.... at least knock! Don’t just barge in! So this then prompted my husband to put the do not disturb sign on and lock the door. God knows if anyone came in after we had gone out for the evening!

Stayed at the Mercure Holland House for a long weekend visiting from Edinburgh. Efficient friendly check in, lovely all be it basic room but clean with stunning views over Cardiff (request high floor) could do with a bigger TV... Nice open bar and restaurant area with again friendly and efficient service. Drink prices not bad for a city hotel. Lovely pool and leisure area, getting some work done on it currently which is good as steam room and sauna a little tired looking. Lockers were a joke, could not find one that locked properly so don’t take valuables with you. Breakfast was the only disappointment, not with the offering but with the consistency and execution. Buffet style but you can order from an a la carte menu. First morning orders eggs royal waited 20mins before staff member informing us no smoked salmon - so we all had eggs benedict instead. Lovely, picture attached lacking a bit is seasoning but very nice. Second morning we chose the hot Buffett... does what it says on the tin picture attached. No complaints lovely service again. This morning..... not good!!! Last day so we went for eggs Royal and asked if they had salmon and we were informed yes... excellent, helped ourselves to the cold buffet and waited for our eggs, and waited and waited....... 30mins later still no hot breakfast. Asked the question was told they were very busy but would be with us in 5 mins, 15mins later they arrived. Ok slight wait but we can cope. My eggs benedict, the egg was brick hard like a boiled egg and cold. The two egg royals came with smoked haddock not smoked salmon and the fish still had the rubbery skin on it and was also cold. We raised our concerns and disappointment and got a lack lustre sorry and would we like another but we decided to go with the hot Buffett as it was so good yesterday. Today it was very poor... fried eggs hard, scrambled eggs blue (totally overcooked) hash browns raw in the middle, sausages burnt..... Clearly a different team on this morning and clearly not as good or efficient as the weekend team I am afraid. A disappointing end to what has been an enjoyable stay.

Overall the public areas are decent and well kept. The room was tired and smelt of staleness and damp and was drab and unwelcoming. (520 IIRC) Parking was a challenge especially as other cars parked so dreadfully. Check in was slow and staff not overly helpful. Only positive was a very good price via Travelzoo

Spa day with my mum, excellent value for money. Hotel is very nice, helpful friendly staff throughout. Enjoyed our treatments and felt at ease, wonderfully relaxing environment. Tea,coffee and cold water available at all times. Therapist lovely, felt at home and enjoyed treatment. Felt very well looked after by all the team at the spa and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you ❤

Great room except the fact that I was constantly woken up through the night with the sound of the lift going up and down every 5 minutes. My room backed onto the lift shaft and was very disruptive. When I told reception they said sorry about that with no actual apology.

Stayed one night for wifes birthday. Given a free upgrade to a 7th floor premium room and a free drink in the bar on arrival. A lovely touch. Cant fault the hotel, lovely room great size, fantastic en suite bath and shower both lovely. Breakfast had gluten free options for wife. Pool facilities were good. Also conveniently located for city centre. Only slight negative was we found the bed a little hard but each to their own. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Easy Hotel to find although the car park is now well sign posted. Easy and efficient check in and the room was very very nice with all the amenities you need. The hotel is well situated to get into the city centre and the railway station just round the corner.Bar area had a good selection of drinks and a nice atmosphere and the breakfast was also very tasty in fact l could not find any faults.

No issues here at all. Swift check in (although directions to the rooms and lifts would have been useful!) Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed and bedding and clean throughout. We were room only, but purchased breakfast in the morning for £10 each which was good value. This hotel is around a 20 min walk from the railway station so slightly out of the city centre.
