Avoid. Rooms are dirty, hair everywhere, musty. Looks like out of a horror movie. Expensive and inaccurate. No one stays here and feels very unsafe. Bathrooms filthy. So many bizarro land moments at this place have occurred but too tired to get into it. Enter at your own peril.
Filthy rooms. All 3 of our rooms in our party looked like they haven't been occupied in months. I've been in cleaner cheap hotels in Mexico. Hair and debris all over the bathroom, shower covered in filth, dust everywhere, burned out lightbulbs. This is in no way a 4 star hotel. Even the common areas are not very well kept. Front door was dirty and outdoor tables covered in grime. We told the nice woman at the front desk and showed her photos. She called the maid to come and clean our rooms, and we left for dinner. When we got back later that evening, someone else was manning the front desk, but he did not speak English. It didn't seem he was made aware of our prior complaints, as he seemed surprised and didn't believe all our rooms were dirty, until he came to inspect them. Our rooms were in no better state. The maid had been there, but nothing was different, except some of the hair had been moved around a bit. We managed to get one of our rooms changed (there was multiple hairs and dirt on the bed). This new room wasn't much better, also looked like it wasn't occupied much and not cleaned well. At that point we realized nothing will be done, and slept in nasty rooms. This was by far my worst hotel experience anywhere in the world, considering it is supposed to be 4 stars. I don't even have a problem with all the run down and beat up furniture or out of date everything, but cleaning a room for the guest should never be a problem. The management should at least do a spot check. There are many much nicer hotels nearby in the same price range. Stay away from this place.
I have been at the hotel and enjoyed my stay thanks to the brilliant staff at reception. Very polite, and helpful. Located very close to the center and far from noisy streets. I would suggest to improve the breakfast menu. everything else is perfect.
The front desk person - a young woman was very rude. Didn't feel welcome. If it wasn't for Roberto at front desk, this hotel would not get the ratings that it currently holds/has. Water pressure terrible - couldn't even take a proper shower. Our room was near a staircase, very noisy.
When we arrived the front desk person a young woman was very rude. This is not a 4 star hotel. It’s dirty, smells bad? There is nothing to do. The rooms don’t have a view. Smells old, there are mosquitos. We will have to spend two days here and I don’t think I am going to be able to sleep in Thisbe place. This is advertised as a 4 star hotel, I give it 2 stars. Please don’t come here. Complete nightmare.
Have just returned from a third stay at this delightful hotel. As always, the staff were cheerful, polite and helpful, especially with restaurant reservations and local advice (the English spoken is excellent), the rooms were immaculately clean (maid service twice a day) and the Continental-style breakfast abundant, with freshly brewed coffee. The lush gardens are just breath taking to walk through, and everything you could wish from your Capri experience is all on your doorstep. We shall definitely be staying here again.
The hotel is stones throw away from Piazza Umberto I (center) of Capri. There is a nice garden in front of the hotel, comprising of lemon and orange trees. The room was nice with a cosy balcony overlooking the mountains. No kitchen but they gave a nice breakfast spread.
We accommodated this hotel on the second part of July 2018. We have a Sea view Deluxe double. It is a good place to rest and to start to visit Capri. All good shops are near to this hotel. Staff polite and helpful. You may enjoy a good swimming pool for free at the nearest hotel. On a scale from 1 to 10 we give this hotel 8.0
The location is excellent, easy access from bus and taxi piazza and all sites of the island. The room was as seen on the hotel pictures except for the shower that needed a litlle TLC. The location, welcome, service, room with balcony, breakfast.
Firstly the location is excellent, just steps from the shops and restaurants but slightly away from the main tourist craziness. And it’s surrounded by a beautiful, peaceful garden. The staff we encountered were all wonderful and friendly and went out of their way to help us. Our room itself felt a bit old fashioned and run down, but wasn’t entirely without charm, and it did have a nice ocean view. It was fine. The breakfast was just average. Overall we enjoyed our stay here for two nights but I am scoring it average for the room and breakfast.
