Good experience I would return and recommend to others as well. I don't have much more to say. I thinks this app should not force guest to say something if they don't want to or have not had the experience. Otherwise it wastes time and become frustrating to complete.
The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The harbour view is great considering the distance. Their breakfast has a wide and appetizing variety. I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends who prefer not being in the busy areas buzz.
Clearly it’s all about the money $$$, as hotels are but why make it so obvious. I wanted to put something on my room tab only to be told I don’t have credit! How inconvenient! My colleague ordered room service water and it took 2 hours! We were on a school tour and the children seemed happy enough. However, the hotel really didn’t live up to its three star status. When it’s windy the wind howls through the rooms. I had to put pillows at the bottom of my door so I could get some sleep. My room overlooked a working area of the hotel and I was woken each day by the screeching of workers communicating with each other. The dining staff are RUDE!!!! There is no other way to describe them. The food was at best mediocre. I certainly would not come back to this hotel in my private capacity and hope that our tour operator changes us next year.
It was really a great stay and I really appreciated how the staff went out their way to help me with my dietary needs. The rooms were neat and well looked after and the staff friendly and helpful. would stay there again
The porter service was good. the reception desk was efficient and the receptionist was helpful as well as efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, you wouldn't notice that Cape Town was under extreme shortage of water! The room was clean through out my stay. The dining hall was good during breakfast mostly, all food variety were present. I did not have lunch at the hotel, I ate at the conference. Supper for the first two days was not up to my expectations from a Tsogo Sun Hotel but service improved from the third day. The overall stay was good.
If it is windy night ( occurs often) the wind will blow into your room. They have not tightened the sliding door, why the wind will whistle all the night. Terrible noisy!!! Try to get a room on the habour side or choice another hotel. The service in the restaurant is extremely slow. It took twenty minutes to get the wine list, twenty minutes to get the wine and teen minutes to get some wine glasses. Buy you wine at the bar and bring it to your table is my advise.
Very dated hotel especially the bedrooms and bathroom facilities which could do with an upgrade. STaff are generally friendly and location is not too bad although there isnt anything of interest within a walking distance. -Lastly, limited halaal food options for breakfast.
I had a good time staying at the hotel. I managed to enjoy my stay and able to accomplish my plans. The facilities were excellent and had no complaints regarding anything. I will definitely return on my next trip.
Not value for money, room was sub standard, dining room tables were sub standard, had to request extra coffee and milk in the room, bed was uncomfortable, only had one side table in our room. Need to upgrade
Service quite excellent and have thus adopted the hotel as my only Cape Town accommodation place. The hotel atmosphere was highly welcoming and inviting. It offered us an opportunity to interact with international guests which to us demonstrated the reputational leverage of the hotel.
