Our second family holiday at the hotel and there will definitely be more. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy access to highways to get you anywhere in Cape Town quickly. The Woolworths food downstairs and the Virgin Active a 2 minute walk away suits our family perfectly. We also love the early breakfast start at 6:30. The 5 minute walk to Canal walk Mall is ideal if a Movie or serious shopping is needed! The family suites are huge with a comfortable lounge and a useful kitchen which makes them useful for more than just sleeping and showering. Staff were once again friendly and helpful.
This is a great hotel, unless you need WiFi! The WiFi coverage in room 511 is absolutely terrible! Literally works for a minute at a time! We found it much better at breakfast on the mezzanine level. Everything else about this hotel is excellent! We used the underground car pack and our car was definitely was safe and sound. The service is at a high standard and that’s always a great thing to experience as South Africans are some of the warmest people we’ve met in the hospitality industries during our travels. We’d stay here again definitely!
I have returned from a 10 day holiday in Cape Town with my husband, friends and family. This hotel was brilliant the hotel staff couldn’t do enough for you!!! Breakfast was also great and defo worth paying the difference. If a tourist the location wasn’t great, an uber to most tourist attractions ranged from $8-12 which isn’t that bad. If you plan to make the most of Cape Town I’d stay somewhere closer. As the traffic often built up on the drive in to the city. We also hired a car which helped and saved us a fortune on paying for excursions. The only downside is there is no pool, and the sister hotel was a short walk away although their pool was closed due to the water shortage. When making a hotel booking I’d recommend calling ahead to check if the pool is actually open as my little niece who is 5 craved having a swim as did I. There is a Woolworths literally on the doorstep serving fresh fruit, veg and tasty hot products. Within a 1 minute walk there was a great bar and restaurant called Tiger Milk, which I also recommend giving a try. The hotel bar was open till 2, and the prices were reasonable and stocked a good range of drinks. The rooms were spacious and some had very small balconies not big enough for a table a chairs but nice enough to get some fresh air although it was facing the mall car park. Which has its plus sides if you like shopping. The beds were a dream and so comfortable. I would note the fridge is a cooler and not fridge we learnt the hard way. Also their is a masseur at the hotel and she was available till 12pm and have very good massages bookable at reception. Overall I Defo give this hotel a thumbs up!
We loved the hotel it's clean and the beds are comfortable .The room fit us and our two kids as they put 2 mattresses in the lounge for the children .The food was excellent and free room service meant we could eat with our toddlers in our room.would highly recommend .We had wifi connectivity issues but the reception staff were friendly and helpful..
We stayed here for five days in a fantastic room with lots of space for all four of us. The hotel offered free parking so we could use the car whenever we liked. The location was good, within walking distance to the mall and the waterfront walk. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
We were in town for a race that was in Century City, so this hotel was in walking distance of the start and finish. Then its close to Canal Walk shopping center and a few minutes away from the CBD and Waterfront, so great location. You get all you would expect. Clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. We we quickly accommodated with harder pillows after we found the standard ones very soft. Breakfast was above average and staff were very friendly and helpful. There was only one complaint from our side. We had the in house Restaurants seafood platter on Friday night. My advice, give this a miss as most of the food was overcooked. The mussels were all that were any good.
PROs: The hotel was lovely and the reception staff were very friendly. I arrived at the hotel on Thursday morning for a short business trip. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the deluxe room I stayed in was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable (Room 415). The breakfast was also lovely, friendly staff in the morning was great. CONs: the only issue I had was the underground parking for the hotel is very confusing, however the security guard was helpful to direct me to parking. The one evening I parked in front of the hotel overnight, and the next morning was charged R90 for my parking ticket, as the hotel forms part of a small shopping centre. The hotel can not validate these tickets for hotel guests. That was my one pain point!
I stayed in Colosseum Luxury Hotel for 2 nights, walking distance to the mall. Hotel comfortable and very clean - breakfast was wonderful. All staff helpful, especially Rannel. Very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would stay again if visiting Cape Town
Generally good service & friendly staff. Breakfast was above average. However, the air conditioning was out of action in my room for the entire 3-day stay. No action; no explanation; no upfront apology.
This place is beautiful and neat. It’s 7 mins away from the city but in traffic time around 20 to 25 mins .. it’s near a mall just. 10mins walk and the area is safe and friendly. The staff are smiley and helpful . The welcome is warm and genuine. They have safe parking and 24h security. It has a beautiful view of table Mountain. I’ll be out of words to describe the place ..I didn’t enjoy the breakfast selection but the chef is another smiley and friendly character that make you want to enjoy the meal.. overall this place is beautiful
