This was our seventh consecutive summer staying at Town and Country. Location is great. It has new owners and as a result has some areas of marked improvement. There is plenty more they need to do to the place however, as only about 25% of it is opened this season. Staff was polite, but not always smiling. Our bathroom sink had a leak and the cabinet base was full of water, but maintenance came right over despite it being 11pm. He was very pleasant, so we got over the issue. My grandsons were heartbroken over the fact that the large heated pool in the front had been removed, but they love the indoor pool. We will continue to follow how the motel continues to improve and then will decide if there will be an eighth year.
We have been going on family trips to cape cod for years and we have noticed that with the years its harder to find deals. This one is a bit shabby even after the renos but its 5 mins from the beach, very easy access to restaurants and activities, has mini golf and 2 pools. For under a 100$ its perfect!
I've read some reviews so I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is amazing!! Rooms are brand new and stayed clean for 4 days! We live in Florida, so I wanted to explore the Cape, to amazing front desk staff helped us out- we went to Provincetown, saw a few lighthouses and did the tour of potato chips factory, also a few of the local restaurants- Di Parma (Italian) and Captain Parker's Pub with delicious clam chowder.. great vacation!! Hotel's amenities are awesome, we played mini golf and used both pools, and you get 20% off for the inflatables down the street- so much fun!! Challenge park is great for older kids, and staff is awesome. We sure will be back!
Spent 2 nights here with my 7 year old daughter. The room was large and newly renovated. There are 2 pools, an indoor and outdoor one. They are in need of a little updating, which I guess is taking place soon. The staff were wonderful! Pool towels are available. Towels in the room were plentiful and new/fluffy. Would stay here again. Lots of fun activities nearby.
Just returned from a three night stay with our grandson and we loved the Town and Country. Front desk attendants were friendly, fast and efficient. Our family room was very large and clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower and water pressure is one of the best I've every experienced in a motel or hotel. Housekeeping was fantastic, we returned each night to find our room and bathroom immaculate. Our grandson made good use of the indoor and outdoor pools, both of which are well maintained and clean. There is also a cute mini-golf area, grills for barbequing and many areas with umbrella tables and chairs for gathering. The front desk also has discount passes for the Inflatable Park two blocks away. Please note that this is a "family resort", meaning there are lots of children having fun. We personally did not find the noise level to be overly excessive, but if you are looking for complete peace and quiet this may not be the place for you. Price, location, cleanliness and staff are fantastic. You won't find a better value. We will definitely be back!
I've stayed with my girlfriend for 3 nights, and we had a blast. Grill area is perfect for barbecuing all day. Pools are amazing, especially indoor one with a hot tub, because on the second day of our stay it was really cold. Staff is awesome, young front desk people helped us a lot with restaurant recommendations and all the attractions on the Cape. Whale Watching in Prowincetown was an unforgettable experience. Houskeepers kept our room really clean, like the first day we came. We just couldn't complain about anything during our stay. We will definitely come back, or stop by in year to come!
The Town N Country Family Resort has had an amazing face lift and we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations. Unlike prior negative reviews regarding housekeeping, we found our room fresh, attractive and very clean. Also reception and housekeeping staff, like Sonia, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and valued as guests.
We enjoyed our stay, and found the rooms to be clean, and the employees to be friendly. The east coast is full of these older motels, which may or may not have transitioned well into a more demanding market. This one is clean, comfortable and affordable. It certainly is not fancy, but, at this price point, we were pleased. This is a busy area of Cape Cod, so, there is some road noise and traffic to contend with, but, again, the budget friendly rate was the trade off. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool, which stays open until 10 pm! All in all, we would stay again.
This motel has had a complete facelift since the last time I stayed there. The rooms are in pristine condition unlike most rooms on the cape. My kids loved the mini golf was constantly played by my boys. In reading the reviews before me, yes the housekeeping has a few issues to iron out. We stayed 5 nights and they got better as the stay continued. In speaking with the manager veselina, I think the issue is because the resort has just opened up for the first time and the employees are all new. The manager for sure will get things working cohesively. This place by far is the best value in this area for the quality off a room you will stay in. Giving 5 stars because this place will be the place to stay on the cape for the years to come.
My wife and I stayed at the Town n Country Family Resort in Room 305, from July 14th through July 21st. Problems: • Day 1 - When entering the bathroom for the fist time, I noticed that two ceiling tiles above the showerhead were wet, bulging, and ready to collapse. I went to the office and reported this to the front desk. From the time of our arrival to the time of our departure, Friday, July 21st, the problem had not yet been addressed. • When we moved the ottoman in front of the upholstered chair in the room, we found dried pieces of food on the carpet that had not been vacuumed prior to our arrival; there was food on the chair, as well. • Day 2 - I had to go to the front desk, because housekeeping did not leave any clean bath towels when they cleaned the room that day. • Day 3 – The room was cleaned while we were out, but in a slip-shod manner. • Day 4 - I again had to go to the front desk; housekeeping did not leave any face cloths. • Day 5 – Room was cleaned perfectly! (This should be done daily!) • Day 6 – I called the front desk and asked that they tell the housekeeping staff that the Dial liquid soap in the shower was emptied and needed to be replaced. When we returned from our day out, I found that the liquid soap had not been replaced. I went to the front desk with the empty container and asked for a replacement. They didn’t have one in the office and went to the housekeeping room; they couldn’t find one there, either. They had to call the housekeeping supervisor to see where the soap was. We left to go to dinner and when we returned, the soap was finally replaced. • Day 7 - Our beds were sloppily made, and NO towels had been left. I spoke with the front desk personnel and expressed my displeasure with the housekeeping of our room. I told them that my wife and I use the room to sleep and shower only, and that we expect nothing more than that the basics be taken care of, which is what we are paying for. Furthermore, I explained that reporting or doing the housekeeper’s job is not my responsibility. I recommended that they give their housekeepers a checklist of what needs to be done in each room, so these mistakes would not be made. The attitude of the desk staff was cavalier, and I felt as if I were talking to a wall. If the Town n Country Family Resort wants people to spend their hard-earned money, they should be sure that they supervise their cleaning staff!
