The House in Cannon Beach was a wonderful place. Although we had initially booked another place, Captain's Cove, local rental restrictions kept us from staying there. Vrbo offered us another that was most excellent and had a nice fenced yard for our schnauzer Milo. Like most all rentals in Cannon Beach, other than the hotels, you do not get a clear view of the beach but you can see it from the upper patio deck on the back of the house. What's really nice about the place is the two decks. The front faces east and the back faces west. Depending on your proclivities you can have sun or shade at any time of the day. Although not actually in Cannon Beach it's just a bit south in the Tolovana Park area. As many times as we have stayed in CB, we have rarely considered Tolovana Park. What's nice about it is that it is quieter than CB, especially on the weekend when CB can fill up with weekend traffic. We showed up there on Saturday before Mother's day and CB was an absolute zoo.The house is a short walk to the Tolovana Park beach area which is about as far south of Haystack Rock as downtown CB is to the north. By car you are only 5 minutes up Hemlock Street to the downtown area. The house itself is generously stocked with whatever you might need for spices, cutlery, plates, and the like. It's very clean and very comfortable.So we give it 5-Stars across the board and would not hesitate to stay there again.
