BEWARE OF SCAM: Worst Management, Dirty, Uncommunicative

This was the first and last time I will use Vrbo. I checked into the property and was immediately taken aback by its condition. The couch was heavily stained and broken, and the sink was brown and rusted to the point you couldn't see the white. The tub was moldy and just painted over. The beds creaked. I wish I could add photos to my review for everyone to see. The host was uncommunicative until I got Vrbo support involved. The host offered to bring in new beds and sent a couch cover, but I did not sign up to witness a renovation project when I paid almost $6,000 for a month's stay. After over 20 calls to Vrbo and many messages to the host, we came to a resolution of getting a 15% refund on the property. The host, Jack, said he was working with Vrbo and his accountant to process the refund on my last day, July 27th. However, it has been almost 2 weeks and the host has not responded to me or Vrbo. He has gone completely silent. Vrbo has refused to do anything on their end other than call the host despite them processing all of the payments. Vrbo support has been the absolute worst, stating that the issues are minor and any refunds are up to the host's discretion.
