Staff very friendly. Very run down. All the Ramada Hotels I stayed in were well taken care of. Upgraded facilities in room. Fresh sheets, furnishings updated, fresh towels. This Ramada was like a motel, sorry but an inn is better. If it is too costly to replace bathroom facilities, than around the outside of sink for example scrub & disinfect.

The room was clean enough. However the A/C was kind of loud and was not working properly. Everything was ok for a 2 day stay. I would have complained about the ac if I stayed longer. Many restaurants/fastfoods around, so thats a plus too.

this place needs to be renovated quickly. the rooms had so much filth and i felt dirty just going in.

Worst hotel I have stayed in possible ever. Locks were broken. Rugs filthy. Smelt bad. Would have walked away but it was midnight and had no choice.

Good price but the room was not very clean and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything from the room beside you. The front desk staff is helpful but very slow.

The room was OK, but the chair in the room had a broken arm, and the front door looked like it was rotting near the lock. The water was cold and didn't warm up so I missed out on a shower. I asked about this, and they said they were fixing it. They were very concerned about me smoking in the room, and put a $250 hold on my credit card, that didn't come off for over a week.

Very tired hotel with old fashioned rooms - very surprised that Ramada is prepared to put their name to it. TV only worked from Channel 18 and above. Worth paying a little more to stay in adjacent more modern hotels.

Towels and sheets did not look clean enough, service is slow, breakfast is a joke. Was the lowest value in a good location and plenty of pillows, and that's why it gets the 2 stars instead of one.

This hotel was one of the worst of the Ramada's ever! The staff were trying but the General Manager never even tried to accommodate us ! The rooms are deplorable! The location is very good, near the local train with easy access. Unfortunately that is the only good thing about this property.... It needs a complete overhaul !

I should probably recognized 2.4 stars out of 5 as a warning. The hotel was run-down, poorly lit with flickering buzzing lighting and/or missing bulbs. Walls floors, furniture all ratty, dingy, tattered. Sticky surfaces and dust bunnies in the corners. Staff all seemed to be related and yelled up/down halls/stairs in their first language. Did I mention that the room across from mine caught on fire? We all stood in the parking lot while half the Calgary Fire Department traced the faulty wiring, and put out the fire. No electricity for another 30+ minutes. Smelled like a BAD scorched funky mess.. Never any apology for the inconvenience and scariness. NOT worthy of Ramada. Go elsewhere.

Apart from the commute advantages and cheaper rates, this is a not a cleaner place to stay.

The moment we walked in, the room stank of old smoke & who know's what. Upon moving the pillow on the bed, the headboard fell to the floor. The sink drain was broken and the carpet surrounding the area was saturated. The ice box in the refrigerator was so frost encrusted one could not even place more than 3 sodas in it. One desk drawer had a partial bottle of whiskey lying in it (says something for the cleaning). All in all, were it not for the fact the room had been pre-paid on-line & non-refundable, we woud have left immediately. When room was serviced, no towels were left; mgt response was that they were ALL in the laundry! Not a very good experience at all, particularly when considering that it was SUPPOSED to be a well-known Brand Name chain.

The rating for this place somehow slipped through the cracks because it is a ONE STAR at best. I don't want to speak negatively anymore than I have, so I will spare you the ugly details. Our attached star rating gives you a good indication of what we were confronted with. After our experience from the first night, we did not want to cause a fuss and politely enquired (at 10:30 am) if we could check out . The clerk responded that it "was too late" to check out and be credited for the second night's payment. Rules were rules and tough luck for us. There was no way we were going to stay there a second night, so we cut our losses and got out of there. We booked and paid for another hotel and the remainder of our trip to Calgary was good.

The lobby and public areas were filthy, the room was not clean either. There was hair in the tub and the carpets hadn't been vacuumed. The room wreaked of cigarette smoke (a non smoking room) The hot tub was warm and had no jets. The alarm clock didn't work, wouldn't even keep the time. The walls and floors needed major repairs The bed ans cost was the best part of the stay.

all was good ,good location, train nearby, restaurants nearby

Friendly staff, good breakfast , clean rooms and best location. Highly recommended !

I strongly recommend against staying at this hotel based on my experience. I travel quite a bit for business and I am used to staying at low-end hotels to meet my expense budget, but this was the worst that I have stayed at in a long time. First, the keycard reader on my door would not work so that I had to go to the front desk and have them reset it every time that I returned to my room, and they refused to either have it fixed or to switch my room to one that worked. The room itself was pretty run down with many stains and wall patches. The blankets on the bed were badly stained and had several cigarette burns marking them. The pillows had a strong musty smell that made them unusable. When I went to make coffee using their coffee maker, I found that it had several dead bugs in the water reservoir. The curtain was missing clips so that it could not be closed completely. Overall, a terrible experience. There are many other hotels available in the same area at nearly the same price, so do not make the mistake that I did in just booking the cheapest to save $5/night to find that the room is not just cheap and run down, but in poor enough condition that it seriously impacts your entire trip.

The bedroom is not good; too old and also dirty. However, it's a little bit expensive. I think, they need to rebuild their hotel.

It was unclear and heater not working. Never stay again.

Fairly clean and beds were very comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly. Private entrance. Basically you get what you paid...good value.
