The quality and choices for Breakfast was wonderful,as as the staff in the dining room. Sleeping room was okay, hotel really needs to be updated, but it was clean. Only drawback was check in staff, not welcoming at all.
I stayed 4 days with my wife for work reasons. We enjoyed the stay: the conference room neat and well equipped, the rooms spacious and clean. The food very well served, varied and very well prepared. Pool very well maintained, spa very small but nice. The gym with few modest appliances. The big problem is that the air conditioning is central and in the room there are no possibilities of choice: it only cools or only heats, so we suffer from heat. The option was to sleep with open windows ...
I am writing this review with perplexed feelings and if you read to the end you will understand why. I have experienced this hotel, situated in one of the most expensive areas in Israel, in two different times; both for business reasons; the first in November 2011 when my office jointly co-organised an international conference with an important international organisation (no names for ethic reasons). Back then it really handed out the service of a five stars hotel, all was organized and served to its best, which definitely added to the success of the conference and the level of the international guests attending. This time I experienced the hotel for a four days stay in a seminar organized by a national organisation. the experience started with the reception and while half of the rooms were ready, my colleague and I had to wait for ours another 40 minutes (I have to admit rooms for our group were handed out prior to regular check in time). While waiting and checking with the reception, three staff member standing there and talking to each other, one of my group's people approached the reception desk and the entire conversation was done in front of me. The lady was in an electric wheel chair and basically the conversation was done with her facing the wooden desk and the reception people talking to the air, since they couldn't reach her face to face. The lady asked them whether it was possible to move her to another room , since the bath door at the room she received was too narrow for her and she couldn't get in (later did I understood what she was referring to). The answer received was a sharp no with the justification that all rooms are the same. The lady with special needs asked again and again received a no. The third time she asked the reception staff to have the conversation with the responsible of the team, who was sitting in a room next to the reception hall, and even though she received the request, she didn't even bothered to get up, get out and attend the lady properly. Considering I was listening to this conversation, I got so upset that I decided to leave the area rather than to face the staff, as I knew it would be going to the wrong direction. Received the key after 45 minutes and together with my colleague went to our room. I am not going to describe the room, and the two single beds separated with mine besides the wall. I am not going to mention the pillows which even in two you could not get enough to sleep well. I am not going to mention the sheets, some torn, which were not attached to the mattress and the next morning half of them would be in one side of the bed. I am not going to mention the stains on the carpet in the room, which were so obvious and were not cleaned for a long time. I am not mentioning the fact of the cleaning lady making only our beds but the rest of the room, even the garbage bin, was left untouched. I am not mentioning the bathroom door, which at the opening was at the minimum required standard at 60 cm, but with the door knob we had to enter from the side as straight there was no way we could do in peace, without banging ourselves to the door knob (let aside if there were towels hanged behind the door). I am not mentioning the amenities, which were only for one person in a room with double occupancy, and with the body lotion, made in China, so weird, its liquid separated from the rest of the ingredients in the small bottle (luckily we had our own set of amenities with us). I am not mentioning the toilet door (separated by the bathroom) which was not functioning properly and we had to struggle to close it every time we used the toilet. I am not mentioning the cracks on the wall and the paint ready to be peeled off due to a long time of being there... The up side of the experience was the reception area of the hotel, which is very well cured and has some beautiful art works shown, and the dinning hall with clean table clothes, nice clean services, clear glasses and a very friendly and welcoming staff...the food though was not of variety and most of it was served cold, especially first course and antipasti for dinner... food arrangement needs definitely a touch, so that one can not put cheese next to the marinated or smoked fish, served for breakfast, or the limited vegetables served as well...unless a person with special needs enter the lecture halls from the dining room, there is no other possibility as the stairs to the hall we were attending the seminar do not provide facilities for people with special needs. SPA area very small and unorganized, with no staff to attend you...I have taken much better massages much cheaper than the price I paid at the hotel SPA. WI FI very very slow, luckily we were connected to the mobile network so we could use it for work reasons, when necessary...it is such a pity, such a beautifully situated hotel in such a touristic area, offers the above...each has own experience, but I have come to find very helpful reviews in Trip Adviser, so I shared mine with you as well...
We invited 70 guests to celebrate our son's Bar Mitzvah at Dan Ceasaria. Everything from room reservation, gift distribution to the rooms, reception, meals, sport amenities, etc. Was handled professionally to exceed our expectations. Food was great. Rooms are updates and clean. Service is super quick. Full soccer field, golf course, table tennis, large pull, basketball court, spa, sauna, walk to the beach. Can't wait to go there again.
The service and accommodations at this hotel were fabulous. The buffet meals were filled with good food-some new and interesting items as well as some familiar foods, all of which were really good. Our stay was perfect!
Not to say it is a bad hotel, it is not. It has a lot of good things about it. Just don't expect a typical Dan experience in this hotel. The service is impeccable. The staff is great and very helpful. The lobby area is very nice and they had a big wood fireplace burning.he hotel is old but has a special charm. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Shame that there is not bathrobe and slippers how are at most 5 star hotels. The breakfast is tasty, abundant but still does not compare with the other hotels Dan.
Lunch was good, breakfast not so much. Internet was barely working, if at all. Walls are thin. I found the staff helpful, but changes required the manager. It is close to the Sea, so its easy to get to the area attractions.
I stayed at the hotel several times this year and each visit was truly exceptional. The location is wonderful and the hotel is in close proximity to the incredible sites in the area. Most importantly, the team, lead by General Manager Ronit Ronen has improved significantly over the years and all the team members I came in contact with, were truly exceptional...caring, detailed and incredibly accommodating. So many of them impacted our outstanding experience and while I do not have all the names, I want to single out Sara and Indira at the reception. Their cheerful attitude and willingness to help were very much appreciated. Pini from Food and Beverage, assisted by Food and Beverage Manager Zaid and his team that included Ashraf and many others, were also incredibly caring, warm and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is incredible and the selections are mouth watering. I love the hotel and the proud team that makes it so exceptional. Thank you for everything team Dan Hotel Caesarea !!!!
I have been to most of the Dan hotels including the King David, Dan Eilat, Dan Tel Aviv, Dan Acadia and Dan Carmel. This is the worst of the lot. Not to say it is a bad hotel, it is not. It has a lot of good things about it. Just don't expect a typical Dan experience in this hotel. The service is impeccable. The staff is great. The bartender Eid was as good as any bartender I have seen. The grounds are beautiful. The lobby area is very nice and they had a big wood fireplace burning. But the food was not on par with the Dan chain. The dining room was shabby in comparison with the other Dan hotels. The food service at dinner was not first rate. My wife noticed ants on a (clean) plate at the neighboring table. The lobby bathroom had a puddle on the floor, probably from a leaking pipe. This hotel seems to be better suited to be a Dan Panorama, which is Dan's B chain. I would say that if you can get this hotel at a good rate then OK but if you are paying top dollar then probably better to check into another Dan.
Staff not nice! Rooms really old, hotel really old. I have never seen a 5 star hotel like his one. 3 star will be more appropriate after visiting the rooms. Prices not adapted to je shape of the hotel at all. Need a remodeling urgently,...!!!avoid!!!
