This is a very comfortable older but still well-maintained hotel by the beach in Rota. The rooms are comfortable. The bathroom included a walk-in shower as well as a bathtub. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The associated restaurant was a little pricey but very good quality. Breakfast was available for a reasonable price and included a very good selection of meats, eggs to order, and pastries and juices. The location is very nice and quite close to the beach. Great place to stay.

Hotel was clean and in the best location in Rota. Can easily walk to any location in the city from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating; they made themselves available to answer questions and they all speak English very well.

Located right on the beach in Rota, this hotel is at a great location and walking distance to many good restaurants. The staff was very accommodating and I enjoyed my visit. Would love to come back to Rota and this wonderful hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Duque de NaJera on a business trip in early October 2017. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the restaurants/bar areas were clean and accommodating. All in all the hotel made the trip for business seem almost like a vacation!

General tip improve breakfast coffee & Orange juice. It is Spain and these should both be wonderful not tasteless or Watery . Food in restaurants & bar was brilliant, location wonderful, hotel was very relaxing & staff were wonderful

The room was spacious, clean, with a great view of the ocean and a huge bathroom. There were problems, however. We splurged on a Superior Double with Sea View, only to find out that we shared the balcony (divided by an opaque glass screen) with another room. The neighbors smoked on the balcony and the smoke drifted into our room. The glass wall provided no privacy so we heard their conversations - starting at 6 am. The room smelled of sewer gas when we arrived. The management finally admitted they knew about this problem and said it was caused by the wind blowing the wrong way. Housekeeping arrived and sprayed a strong smelling chemical to cover the odor. We plugged all the drains, left the bathroom fan on and we were able to get control of the smell, more or less. We were offered another room two days later - but we declined - it was inferior. The day we checked out, the sewer smell was back. We alerted the front desk clerk, who denied that there was a problem. She also said we should have known about the shared balcony when we booked the room. I've since looked at the website and have found no photos to back up her story. This just doesn't feel like a four star hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for five nights. The first night I was in room 107 where there were two sources of noise: whenever anyone above me flushed the toilet it sounded like Niagara Falls in my room, Street noise from the window was very loud and intrusive through the night. Once they moved me the next day to the third-floor the rest of my stay was wonderful!

The Hotel Duque is located right on the beach within easy walking distance of most restaurants in Rota. The staff are universally pleasant and friendly. All I encountered spoke some English and it seems like many speak German as well. The breakfast is wonderful and was included in my room rate. I did have an issue accessing the internet and when I asked to switch rooms, the front desk agent said they'd send someone up to my room to look at the router instead. The problem as fixed by that night. What a great solution! My problem was solved and I didn't have to pack up and move all my things. I look forward to returning to the Hotel Duque in the future!

Nice big rooms but too loud noises at night due to bars next to the hotel. Wall isolation not so good. Breakfast is good but quality could be better. Coffee was terrible! Swimming pool small but enough place around even in the afternoon; Super location ( via boat to Cadiz in 30min. or local bus to Sevilla)

Hotel is in an excellent location, easy walk to all the tapas bars about half a mile away, but secluded at the end of the very busy beach. Beautiful pool area. Cleaning staff and front desk very helpful
