To me this is an outstanding, well run hotel. It is simple and does not provide the service of grand 5 star establishment but what it does offer is well thought out and extremely comfortable. It is not over large, It sits in a well tended garden with a beautifully maintained swimming pool and is a few steps down to the beach which is glorious. The room are immaculate (ours was a superior seaview) on the small side but with everything you need, No bath but a good shower which unfortunately in our room was not well designed and tended to wet the floor. we mopped it up with a towel it's not enough to put us of staying again. The rooms are serviced twice a day by cheerful ladies which is becoming unusual in many hotels. Being west facing it was too hot to sit out on the balcony during the afternoon but was lovely during the evening. There are cheaper rooms which face the car park at the back of the hotel. The guests while we where there were predominately German (via Thomas Cook) and Spanish There is one disadvantage to this hotel, it is a very long walk into town about 30- 40mins along the beach and only if the tide is right, if you want to try some of the fantastic restaurants. Otherwise you would need to take a taxi or drive and parking can be tricky in the evenings. We didn't eat in the hotel but see that some of the reviews of the food are not great. I have only two fairly minor grumbles. I hate the detachable coat hangers to prevent theft, they are so irritating to use. I also wish they would enforce the rule of not reserving loungers despite it being clearly stated in the information and on a notice in the lift. There is always somewhere to sit but the choice spots are bagged early and are often unoccupied for hours. I saw one set of loungers with towels on where the occupants didnt pitch up until 6pm. The hotel should instruct the pool guy to whip the towels off if no one materialises. These small irritations would not stop me returning again it is a really lovely seaside hotel.

Fabulous place and forming part of a road trip we were on. This place was the posh part of our travels and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Dirk the concierge/main man was courteous and charming and even threw in a glass of bubbly as we checked in to Room 332. That's the room you should aim for folks. Dual aspect balcony with sun loungers and views to die for (not literally) Breakfast is a leisurely affair and very comprehensive. Evenings we ate out (beach restaurant called something along the lines of kangaroo- approx 1/2 mile toward Conil) Sunbathing at the hotel done on lush and spongy grass...... after a while sand gets on my t**s to be honest so grass under foot and a lovely swimming pool ticked the final boxes. Go there and relax, you will believe me.

This is a lovely medium sized hotel in a beautiful seafront location. Good gym and indoor and outdoor pools and seafront bar! All food is buffet style and low budget fayre!! Needs significant improvements to quality. Otherwise our stay would have been great.

We were lucky to have a corner seafront room. It meant we had a bigger balcony with sunbeds. A stunning view. The room and bathroom are not huge, but the view more than makes up for it. We stayed two nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is a little bit isolated so we didn't have much choice for dinner other than to eat in the hotel (unless we wanted to drive somewhere). We chose to eat a la carte on the first night. This was a bit of a disappointment. The service was excellent, but the food quality was not great (overcooked pasta, chewy veal). We decided to have the buffet the following night which was much better. Plenty of choice. It was very wet when we stayed and so the electrics ended up failing intermittently. Apparently this is a general problem in Spain. It made for an interesting flamenco show when all the lights and music kept going off. The dancers did amazingly well! The hotel is comfortable. The food is passable. The service is excellent. The views and beaches are amazing. I would recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our three night stay at this well kept hotel. We thought the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful which is not always the case. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and we appreciated the sunbeds on our balcony. Great facilities with outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a gym. The beach bar serving tapas was excellent and the restaurant breakfast and dinner buffets had an enormous choice. We just wished they had more typically Spanish dishes rather than individual meat and fish with separate vegetables. But that said, everything was well cooked and presented and we enjoyed everything we ate. We should have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms (is that very English?) but it was possible to have drinks served downstairs at any time of the day. The entertainment in the evening did take over all the leisure space by the bar, so if you preferred to talk to friends, it was necessary to sit outside. Just as well the weather was good. However, overall we can thoroughly recommend this hotel and would go back again if we had the chance.

We recently stayed at the Flamenco while our son's family stayed at a villa in Fuente del Gallo. The location cannot be bettered in the Conil region and I would say on the whole Costa de la Luz coastline. The gardens are spacious, there are many loungers, the pool is big and there is a children's pool, the steps to the beach are short and there is a lunchtime bar on them, the breakfast buffet is top draw. Why have I not given it five stars: The water in the showers does not maintain its temperature, OK in a small hotel but not in one as large as the Flamenco. The safe is charged for. It requires a key and there is a daily charge, as the reception does not offer a safe I think it is unreasonable to charge for the room safe. A small niggle is the fixed hangers which are not uncommon but a personal no-no. The rooms are a good size and well cleaned and all have balconies. We preferred the ones facing East which get the morning sun as the West facing ones look too hot to sit out on in mid Summer. The bartender serves a generous gin and tonic, though there are times of day where he could do with more staff to help look after the people outside. There is a small but useful play area with swings, slide and see-saw etc. The reception staff are top class and very helpful. Would I stay anywhere else on the Costa de la Luz. No. For all its faults the Flamenco is the one for us.

The Flamenco Hotel is situated just outside the busy town of Conil . It is set amongst well kept gardens with steps down to a beautiful unspoilt beach . This coastline has the best beaches in Spain in my opinion. On arrival the staff were extremely friendly. Our room overlooked the beach . We chose a room which had sun beds on the balcony. This cost extra but was not really necessary. The sunsets were amazing . Breakfast on the terrace each morning was amazing . The hotel had mainly Spanish guests . Certainly a plus .Very few British voices heard . As a result there was never a problem getting sunbeds . There are 3 cabanas in the gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean . These were hardly used by guests when we were there . On our last day ,we booked one of the cabanas which was so comfortable. We received a bottle of cava on ice and a tray of freshly cut fruit as part of the deal. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the cost of this luxury ; 20€ . In Marbella this would be five times the cost . A hotel we would certainly return to .

We found the hotel to offer excellent facilities. The staff were friendly, the children had a great time but we did feel that the hotel caters to older guests who would prefer a child free hotel. The pool, park, beach and general surroundings were idyllic.

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we stayed here again two weeks ago. We had a lovely room overlooking the pool with the most fantastic view of the sea. The beach was very close and there is a bar overlooking the beach where you can have a beverage or two!!! The hotel and grounds are immaculate and a lovely breakfast is served, with the added bonus of an omelette chef!! The hotel staff are very pleasant too. It is possible to walk into Conil along the beach, dependent on the tides, but hotel gives you a timetable. Most of the evenings we did drive. All in all a super hotel & we will definitely stay again.

We visited this hotel a few times many years ago. It was lovely then, but is now a true gem. All the staff, without exception, bent over backwards to look after us. The hotel is in great shape and has been completely redecorated and renovated since our last visit. The breakfasts were excellent, the pool areas, both inside and outside, the garden, lobby all pristine. And what a location it has, right on the Atlantic. We were treated to fabulous sunset displays of surfers in the waves below from our balcony. Perfect!
