In tune with the general principle of all paradors, they improved on the Convent theme by making it luxurious enough to be comfortable in it's 4star rating. I love the different antiques and works of art. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and plan to visit other Paradores round the Spain.

Research your approach and parking options to this excellent Parador before you go! There is a limited amount of private parking and a garage at extra cost but street parking is not easy. Apart from that, this is a superb Parador with great food and helpful staff. It is within an old part of town along with typical narrow streets and a beautiful central square. Well worth visiting.

Trujillo, has a small very interesting old centre, a beautiful plaza with very interesting architecture. The Trujillo Paradore was excellent, we enjoyed a cava in the central courtyard before an excellent meal

I've stayed in many Paradors and the vast majority are just exceptional. However, I felt that I needed to review this particular Parador, as I was very disappointed. The staff that I encountered were very unfriendly, unhelpful and give you the impression that you are a hindrance. If you have had dinner at other Paradors, you always receive high quality food and service, unfortunately, you won't get that here. Overall,I wouldn't recommend this Parador and the staff need to learn basic customer service.

The bedroom was amazing, just like in the photo, We went to Trujillo for the history of the conquistadors, The castle was great and very cheap 1.5 (£1) euros to get in, every attraction was cheap, The hotel cloisters were amazing, the central section had a bar which was so relaxing, the staff were fantastic, Will be on my list for a re-visit

Excellent hotel and town. Rooms spacious and clean . Real sense of history in hotel and town. Breakfast was very comprehensive and friendly. Reception staff very helpful and informative. Cloister area was very relaxing for a pre dinner drink

I stayed 2 nights at this parador. The parador itself has been very carefully renovated with interesting decorations. Hotel Car Parking available at about Euro 10 per night. However, there were a few things that needs to be improved. Firstly, staff are very moody and i don't believe i saw 1 smile. Wifi was not operating during my 2 day stay. Hotel restaurant is very expensive and overall quality is low. I booked a junior suite (room 201) which whilst it was large and clean, it overlooked the carpark and pool (which could be noisy in high season). Also it was next to the elevator from car park to hotel, which meant there was a lot of noise from hotel guests using the elevator at all times of day and night. Trujillo is a lovely town with some great historic buildings.

This is the perfect location for anyone interested in history, wildlife, especially birds, or both. We enjoyed staying in one the rooms in the old part of this Parador although finding ones way between the carpark/garage and the old part does take a bit of learning

We did a 4 day trip in Extremadura, and this hotel was our first stop. The concept of a parador is an old edification, sometimes a castle, that was converted to a hotel and is now managed locally. The parador in Trujillo offered nice, spacious rooms, and a double vanity bathroom with tub and bidet. The only window in the room (311) was quite small, although with a nice view to the old city. There was a flat screen tv. The hotel staff were very courteous. The restaurant accommodated us for a late dinner when we arrived a few minutes after its closing time. The breakfast selection was quiet good, including fresh fruits, hot and cold dishes, and obviously a good selection of ibérico. There was also free parking.

I'm blown away by the Paradors in Spain. Trujillo Parador was just incredible. Our room was massive & so tastefully decorated. It was also quiet, had a balcony and a great bathroom. We recommend the superior double rooms, they're so worth the extra money. Everything about our stay was perfect.
