It was a great trip. We stayed here a couple of years back and enjoyed it so much, we wanted to come back. Service was great. Food was delicious. I dinged the rating because i had a $200 x 2 (2 rooms) resort credit for orbitz vip and told them when i checked in and they said it was only $25 per room (another credit from Orbitz). I ended up missing out on $400 in credit because the person at check in didnt put it in. When booking through Orbitz... always have to show really show them your resort benefits at check in and press the issue. Otherwise great stay.

The people were very nice, helpful and friendly. The Room had not heated, and was was cold at night. The view of the ocean was terrific. The food was a B minus.. most of the all inclusives have good to great buffets for breakfast. Lunch and dinner. This had an ok breakfast, no dinner so had to go to specialty restaurants which were good but not casual with very few American food choices. Catalina the personal butler was excellent, Norberto at the Peninsula was outstanding. Nelson and Carlos were great waiters on the beach. Antonio was excellent at the club. Nadia saved our trip at the front desk.. she listened as well as the Bell Captain personally escorted us to the room.. Overall a B, It was nice to have a sports bar to watch the Packer game, We also enjoyed the spa would give the A minus. The staff overall was an A. Robb and Sandie Las Vegas,Nv

We stayed at Grand Fiesta for our honeymoon and, overall, the experience was just okay—unfortunately not enough for us to return. On our second day, I got severe food poisoning after eating at the Italian restaurant. It was so severe that I could barely walk. The on-site doctor charged $300 USD just for a consultation, which felt excessive given the situation. During this time, I asked room service for something simple like a smoothie and was told they could not provide one. There were many promises made by staff throughout our stay that were never followed through on. The room itself was very underwhelming and did not resemble the photos we selected online—it felt plain and lacked character. Considering this was our honeymoon, we were disappointed that there were no gestures, acknowledgments, or efforts made to make the stay feel special or to thank us for choosing this resort. While the property itself is beautiful, the experience did not align with expectations of a five-star resort. Even basic necessities felt overpriced—the gift shop charging $50 USD for Benadryl was shocking. Entertainment was also very subpar. The resort has a very mature crowd, with mostly older guests or young children, often with little in between. There were no standout events or engaging activities, and nothing that felt fun, modern, or honeymoon-appropriate. Everything in this hotel was a great experience for us. Shout out to Enrique from Blu (dinner) and all staff from Blu. Armando from viña del mar (breakfast). Peninsula- Birria tacos amazing, Hugo from La taqueria, Elizabeth Nolasco, Nicole (Lobby), and amazing room service. We really enjoyed our stay there...thank you from the Gonzalez Family.

- Pros: beautiful resort, friendly staff for the most part, good food and drinks, wine is not good but I kind of expected that; beach is right there and nice, pools are great, towels are available, service at pool and beach is great, plenty of beach chairs, golf carts taking you to your room etc are super fun especially for the kids and they’re always on time and barely ever a wait, fantastic breakfast buffet - Cons: the amenities are dated, the timeshare lead person was too pushy (Hector was great though!), very long waits for check in and check out and staff wasn’t friendly for that part at all (didn’t even ask how our stay was etc), long waits at restaurants until someone takes your order.. but it’s vacation and not a problem.. the reason for my rating is because my husband and I both got food poisoning on day 3 and he on day 4.. we never left the resort and were somewhat careful (bottled water, etc) but somehow managed to get very very ill which ruined the rest of the trip and flight home; luckily our kids were spared so I believe the issue was either the ice in some of the drinks we had (I didn’t let our kids have any ice..) or some of the ceviche maybe which the kids also didn’t eat but who knows. Point is, for a 5 star trip that I paid a small fortune on for my husbands 40th bday, I’d expect to not get that sick; ;( We were having a great time until then

Our free upgraded Ocean Front Villa was wonderful. The maids kept our villa spotless and refilled. Saff at this resort made the difference. Every employee was kind and would always say hi. Most have worked at the resort for many years. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with so many choices. The sit down breakfast restaurant was also very good.
