Clean place, good standard of rooms, staff friendly helpful especially the ladies on reception, breakfast filing and complimentary. 3rd stay here for Bloodstock Festival (Lego Batman and Robin) - definitely stay here again next year.

The hotel was clean and had everything that you'd need for a one night stopover. Plenty of parking and next door to a good pub if you don't want to eat at the hotel. I ate at the hotel and have no complaints. Not the widest menu choice but plenty enough to choose from. Great staff too, efficient and polite.

My husband and I spent two pleasant nights here with our dog. The room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was really nice albeit a bit cold but that's a buffet for you it didn't bother me too much because it was nice. It would have 5 stars except that although the staff were lovely there were two girls who I believe needed some training in customer service. I won't go into the things that were said, not rude as such but not too pleasant and a bit sarcastic, it wasn't my fault she was busy and she had to do two jobs. And in the morning another girl, when asking if it was milk and I believe it needs filling up she cane back and said "it was actually half full and it says milk on it". No need for that. Other than that the rest of the staff were lovely.

1st time at this hotel and we visit burton as we have family there. Staff are great food is good and will definatly stay here on our next visit. Nothing seems too much trouble for the front of house staff. Which id how a hotel should be there 100% customer focused.

Stayed at this hotel recently and found it to have friendly efficient staff. The room was comfortable well equipped and clean. Included in the price was breakfast which was very comprehensive (to suit all tastes) also a range of drinks available all day in the reception area. If I'm in the area again I will certainly try to stay here.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and after the first time we decided we wouldn't stay anywhere else in this area. The service from the moment you arrive to when you are leaving is really friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble.

We have not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before and were pleasantly surprised. I had looked at hotel details prior to booking and thankfully make a note of the noise and had therefore make a request for a room at the back of the hotel, when we got there however, this had not been done but it was soon changed. DO request this as several members of our party reported being in very noisy rooms. We were on a reunion weekend away and it was very nice to have a large lounge seating area where we could sit and chat, either with drinks from the bar or from the free tea and coffee machines in the lounge/dining area, excellent idea. The room was nice and spacious with air conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom, with shower only (that's fine) a good size. The room and general communal areas were very clean. Evening meal menu was quite limited but there was a pub on the same site just a couple of minutes walk. Would certainly look at Holiday Inn Express in future.

Alex on reception was such a pleasure, she was very accommodating and such a lovely person! The room was clean and the breakfast was good. We stayed here as we were visiting Alton towers and it was on the way for us.

nice rooms, good staff, and meeting rooms are okay but overpriced. the wi fi in some lobby areas is still very average despite a recent refit. The lobby could do with a few more plug sockets. coffee machines are good.

Gold member with IHG and use of Holiday Inn Express is always a comfort knowing the standards and facilities that will be welcoming you on arrival. Have to say that this hotel is a bit remote on a business park, yes it has 3 restaurants within walking distance but this was a Sunday evening and all three of them were full, noisy, cluttered tables and not very appealing.
