My husband and i enjoyed our stay at this spacious home with gorgeous views and spectacular sunsets. The kitchen was well supplied, so we enjoyed eating in during our stay. Having a sauna and hot tub was a delightful bonus.

Great Cabin! Very welcoming, beautiful views and has everything needed. There is a steep drive but our non-4WD had no problem with it during summer. Well equipped kitchen. We will definitely be a returning guest! Thank you so much!

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful week in Burnsville. The house was wonderful and we loved the view from the deck. The house had everything we needed to cook and grill. I highly recommend this house for a family- lots of room to relax. The drive to Asheville wasn’t too far and we really enjoyed the Snapdragon restaurant in Burnsville.

Great family getaway

This was a great spot for my wife and I to relax in the hot tub enjoying beautiful mountain views after putting our toddler and baby down. Great location set off in the hills, close to cute town (Burnsville), and near Asheville as well as great hiking.

Great Trip and an Awesome Home

We loved our time at Carolyn’s Cottage! My husband and I took my parents to Burnsville for a long weekend. The house was so bright and airy and the views were fantastic. The house was well equipped and we lacked for nothing. We will definitely be back!

Mountain getaway

My husband and I stayed at Carolyn’s cottage for the second time!! We love it there so much. They do everything in their power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They are prompt with all questions and concerns. The cottage is centrally located to everything we needed for our hiking trip! We can’t wait to return again next year. Beautiful View. Cenral location

This property was in a great location as we had activities planned in several cities around Ashville. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 and the beds were very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensil/pans as well as spices. There was soap in the showers, kitchen and even laundry detergent by the washer. Hot tub was lovely and the fire pit was nice to sit around in the evenings. The porch has a great view of the mountains and can catch the sun set. We would definately rent this gem again.

“Girls trip from high school 40 years ago”

We all enjoyed our trip this weekend. The house was immaculate and everything we wanted it to be. The views were spectacular. We were far enough away to feel secluded but close enough to Asheville that it was not a long drive. I highly recommend anyone looking for a stay to come to this house.

Great getaway to the mountains!

Enjoyed a great visit at this lovely house with our two daughters and furbaby. Easy drive to Asheville, but also great to explore the nearby town of Burnsville. Would definitely visit again!

Family Christmas

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked, which was wonderful as we stayed inside for a couple days due to the rain. Hot tub, sauna, and firepit were all amazing! 2 cautions- 1st- the driveway is super scary! It's a hard right switch back, with some moss and broken asphault. Make sure your tires are good and breaks arent warn. 2nd- there's no garbage pick up. If you're going to be there for 5 days, over a holiday and cooking at the house, be aware that you can only leave 2 bags of trash. We had 5 bags of trash and learned once we got there that there was no trash cans and no garbage pick up and if you have 5 or more bags you have to leave $35 cash when you go. We dont travel with cadh, but luckily our kids each got $20 cash for Christmas. So we had to leave $40 and now we have to pay our kids back. All in all, it was a great stay, the house and property was beautiful.

Hiking get away

We loved location of this house up a steep drive, but away from everybody the views were spectacular. After a day of hiking the surrounding communities, Mount Mitchell Pisgua national forest, we come home to a hot tub. It was wonderful.
