This hotel was exactly what I needed with reasonable price and across the street from the hospital. Very comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, good set up for me. They honored my request for early arrival, and I was very early. Honored the amount and type of pillows. I like to have seating in front of a mirror rather than stand in bathroom. Just a preference, but is standard here. Parking is across the street at 8 dollars per day. Some reviews said the hotel is connected to the hospital and this is true, but it seems you need special access badges in order use the indoor access. I am not one to spend a lot of time in a hotel room but like the clean and comfort when I get back and Doubletree provided this for me. Internet was hard for me to access. I am not tech savvy and did not pursue the problem with the staff. They provided me phone numbers of the airline I needed to speak with. I did use the gym once which has one bike, 2 eliptic machines, 2 treadmills but one out of order. Various weights. Exercise Room is relatively small, looks out on the street machines have individual screens to watch TV. I was allowed to use the rolling carts to move my own luggage which is what I prefer. Overall, was a very good hotel experience.
Very helpful staff and the room was more than fine. Beds were comfy and everything was very clean. No complaints from us!
This hotel is crammed between hospitals and hospital parking structures but apparently there is limited parking for hotel guests. Upon checking in, I asked the guy behind the counter where we could park and he told me that I had two options. Pay $9 for a parking garage 2 blocks over that would charge me each time I left the garage or I could pay the hotel $12 for valet parking. I asked the man if the $12 would cover my entire stay (as we were staying 3 days) and he said yes. We went with valet. Each time you get to the hotel you are supposed to leave your car keys with the front desk. I thought there would be someone at the door to take the keys and was never told to drop them at the desk. We came back to the hotel for a quick change before going to the Melting Pot for a special dinner and were in our room for about an hour. When we came back to the car we were yelled at for not leaving our keys and told that they could tow our car because of it. In the room the shower curtain had what looked like red hair dye or blood on it. The television did not offer any premium or paid channels. At the end of our trip we got our bill and were charged $12 per day. We would not stay at this hotel again. This is the second Double Tree we have stayed at this year (other was in different city) and will not stay with them again.
The room is clean, the breakfast tastes good and it is very convenient for the tourists to travel and go any place because of the hotel shuttle provided.
nice, lobby is narrow and boring but staff is helpful and the shuttle is great
The staff were amazing. We could not have asked for a better experience. Their shuttle service is amazing. They were helpful at every turn. Would absolutely highly reccomend. Will stay here again.
Room, staff, restaurant were all top notch. Clean, modern room, great dinner, very friendly staff, especially Jeanne at the front desk. My only complaint (partially my own fault) was actually finding the hotel. It is surrounded by a hospital and medical campus, and the hotel sort of blends right in with the surroundings! So, a little tricky to find unless you are careful (which I was not, admittedly!)
The shower was not working and reported to staff. They are not ready to help us quickly.
Was in town for a wedding and this hotel worked out great. It's a little bit away from the main downtown area, but they have a shuttle on demand so it wasn't a problem. The staff was very courteous, helpful, and attentive. I tried to buy toothpaste from their shop but instead was offered a free tube. I appreciate them not trying to gouge me there.
Staff was exceptional. Manager allowed early check-in and the staff was great for providing driving directions
Had a brief but very enjoyable stay. The staff had all the right answers to our questions. They were very personable and curtious. Will stay here again when in the area!
Hotel staff was wonderful! Gave great pointers for our brief yet fun stay! Room was really nice. Would absolutely stay here again when in the area.
The experience was great. The only thing that was less than perfect was the dining experience in the hotel. The girl at the register took our money with a gloved hand, then used that same gloved hand to get our cups and ice. The gloves aren't for emloyee protection for crying out loud! They are for sanitation. Food was okay, but not worth the $10 for breakfast buffet. Take advantage of the free shuttle and pick up breakfast somewhere else. On a positive note, the hotel was luxurious, the cookies were amazing, and I did not want to get out of the bed in the morning it was so comfortable. They treat you like royalty here! Cleanliness of the rooms is incredible.
The room was clean, large, modern and very tastefully decorated. The staff was curteous and very helpful. They had complimentary computers and printers with full internet access. Shuttle service was free in the immediate area and about half the cost of a taxi to the airport. The location was excellent: 10 mins. to the train station, 15 mins to the airport and 5 mins. from Metro. For the price it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great experience with this hotel. It's situated near and serves the medical school at SUNY Buffalo, and is comfortable, clean and very quiet. We'll go back! While it's not really walkable with small children, it's a very quick drive to the city center. There is valet and street parking.
Felt very welcomed from the wait staff to the concierge. Everyone was very accommodating.
We got this hotel as it was one of the last available in Buffalo since the Bills were playing. The hotel was clean and well kept and the staff friendly and accommodating. It is on the edge of a pretty bad area but also close to plenty of bars and restaurants and right in the General Hospital complex. We were there for the Bills game and all worked out fine and dandy.
Went to visit Niagara Falls twice.
We traveled to Buffalo to attend a Buffalo Sabres game. We stayed at another hotel with poor results so we thought we'd give Doubletree a try. We were very impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included with our package and it was quite good. I will say that the location of the hotel was a bit odd (in the middle of Roswell Hospital), but this made no difference in service other than parking. And the valet service that was offered was exceptional. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!!!
I had booked a non-smoking king sized bed room and got 2 double beds instead. When I went back to the front desk to ask for the room I booked she told me that my reservation only said non-smoking and that she couldn't do anything about it. I had my reservation confirmation with me showing the king sized bed request and that still didnt matter to her. Then I found out they only had valet parking for $10. I think if you book a room at a hotel it is pretty much expected that you have to park a car there too. Plus I think at $100 a night they can at least let you park for free!
