Our most expensive hotel on our 2 week trip. Ambivalent staff. Hang up on requests for some drinking glasses. Worn out bearings on v noisy air con in room. WiFi didn't work. Soulless. Room tatty in places. Why 'Park Hotel '? Concrete View more like. Just didn't live up to any expectations. Look for better quality and value.
The hotel is very centrally located and features quiet, large and clean rooms with flat screen Tvs. Internet is free and fast. The bathrooms are showing their age a little, but are well appointed and clean. Breakfast was good. I am a solo female traveler and walked to lots of the attractions of BA from the hotel. A shopping mall and lots of eateries are very nearby.
We stayed two nights at this hotel prior to joining a cruise ship. It was clean and rooms were fine, more a 'business class' hotel than one you would stay in for a holiday. When a group of arrived, as pre-arranged we swamped the one Receptionist that was on duty. Rooms were clean and functional, it wasn't an especially good location, but near a shopping mall if that was what you wanted. One lift was problematic, but there was a safe in the room, which was very necessary for BA. Breakfast was adequate but not special.
I have just spent three nights in Buenos Aires and definitely this hotel worked perfectly for me. Unless you are planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel, this one works perfectly for business and leisure travelers. It's only four blocks away from Puerto Madero, two blocks away from Florida Street and Galerias Pacifico shopping mall and just 15 minutes away from San Telmo. Breakfast and wifi are included so you really get a real price per value equation.
Location of this hotel is great, thats for sure. Hotel staff could be bit more welcoming. Simple request at the reception, like 2 wine glasses for the room and suddenly based on his emotional response you feel like bothering the guy or something. Story no10 button on one of the elevators didnt work and for days remained unrepaired. We had our room on 10th so you can imagine how much "fun" it is to wait for someone to call away the broken one in order to be able to call a different elevator. Breakfast was great, very tasty bacon, tasty pastry. I liked it very much. Yet again, the devil is in the details, one of the opening trays with food was doing a terrible squaking noise every time it was opened and noone cared. On the last day i brought it to their attention so hopefully they got it fixed. Still, i dont consider it a poor hotel experience. Laundry service for example was very quick and delivered yhe clothes a day in advance and bellmen very generally very nice. As a hotel, they should be much more detail oriented though.
We stayed here three times while touring southern South America. Rooms nice, great location, but the three elevators have got to be replaced! Cost us a lot of time. Breakfast buffet needs work, too. Staff is friendly, and we like the cute , cozy bar.
We had spent a busy day sightseeing and were exhausted before dinner. We saw this restaurant and immediately decided to go in without knowing anything about it. What a pleasant surprise! We got excellent service at this establishment as well as excellent food. We spilled one of the dishes and the service staff quickly replaced it at no cost. They were friendly throughout but especially in this situation where we were at fault. I would recommend them to anyone traveling in Buenos Aires.
Large enough and very comfortable. Security is paramount and this hotel demonstrates all that meets my criteria. ----------------------------------------------- So good .... I booked for a second time .... on my return from Uruguay enroute to Australia.
This is a 3-star hotel (4 at the most), designed for the masses. Service is attentive, rooms old, small, unkempt, and even dirty. Fairly well located. I guess it is OK if you really want to save some money.
Really enjoyed our stay at Amerian. Staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Location was really great with shopping and restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean and quiet. Would stay again. Breakfast was basic and could possibly have more variety.
