This was a fun hotel with a neat apartment style room that I stayed in. It's near the metro and easy to access.

I loved this place. It was initially a little annoying to have to check in upstairs in another poorly marked building and then to have to walk about three blocks away, but after checking in, I loved the privacy of the place. The room itself was a studio apartment complete with washing machine. It was perfect for a week long stay. It was very clean and mostly quiet. Walking to the apartment at night was a little intimidating as a single female, but I had no issues.

Staying at the Budapest Museum Central Hotel was a great choice! The staff were beyond friendly and more than helpful. I scheduled quite a few events with them right at the hotel and was able to pay for these events right at the hotel saving me from dealing with lines. It was a large room and was quite comfortable. I wasn't expecting something extremely grand, and it was exactly that. Not some 5 star hotel, but just a nice comfortable room, like in a normal apartment. The location was perfect, 10 min walk to the city center and maybe a 30 minute walk to the Buda side of the city. I will definitely stay there again if I go back to Budapest. The staff and friendly atmosphere really made my trip a great one.

What an amazing location. Everything is within walking distance such as Vaci street, the market place, Gellert baths, and two metro lines. The hotel is a former apartment, so it is a bit surprising when you first arrive as you need to walk through residential doors, and pass up the stairs within a courtyard to other residences. But the rooms is comfortable, clean and airy. And the staff were great too. Wifi was good. Only thing to note for people with disabilities; to reach the elevator, you need to go up five stairs. This is not uncommon for Budapest, but something to note for those travelers.

A bit hard to find but once you do you can't beat the price. Staff was nice.

This hotel reminded me of a really clean, nice dorm. Don't expect anything fancy. On the other hand, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The hotel is just across from the Hungarian National Museum and just a few blocks away from 2 different subway lines. There's AC in the room and the staff can make you coffee in the morning, Overall a great value for the price.

We booked this hotel because of the location, value and the reviews it received. We were not disappointed. The price was unbeatable. The service was excellent. The staff was quite helpful and very friendly. The room was quite basic, but we had everything we needed. Bring your own toilettries if you are picky of what you use. The bedsheets were rough, probably needed a little bit of fabric softener. The hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to Grand Market and Astoria hotel. These are stops on hop on, hop off bus routes. From the hotel, you can walk to major attractions within 30-40 minutes, but it all depends on how often you want to stop along the way. There are bakeries, restaurants, a grocery and a pharmacy near by. The Turkish restaurant next door has very good food. We had dinner there a few times. Budapest is not as cheap as we thought, so we also saved money by going there. Ask for an interior room if you like to sleep in late as the street traffic can be noisy.

Nothing can beat its location! It is right across the National Museum, and very close to Gellert Bath, Grand Market Hall, the Synagogue, Vaci utca, and other tourist spots are just a few stops away. You have tram and metro stations just outside the door. It is not a fancy hotel, but really good if you are traveling under a budget. Staffs are very nice and helpful, room is clean, and good price!!

Really enjoyed the hotel and thought it was a great deal for the money. I stayed in the jacuzzi room with 2 friends and had plenty of room for a rollaway third bed. The hotel staff was also very helpful with directions, tips on what to see, and coordinating rides to the airport.

Very nice staff. Good location. I was missing a refrigerator in the room.

decent location. close to the Centre and all the touristic places. the Stairs are pain if you have heavy luggage. old elevator that can carru only two people with two small luggage . they provided a bottle of house wine on the house which was nice but getting to the room with luggage or small children not recommneded

The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the staff members are exceptionally helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay at Budapest! The best is its location--if you don't mind walking, it takes 20-30 minutes to the Parliament or Buda Castle, to Fisherman's Bastion, and 5 minutes to the Great Market. If you don't want to walk, you can take Metro--one stop is only 1 minute away and another 3 minutes. Very convenient. The hotel makes my visit to Budapest very enjoyable! My only minor complaint is that the room is a little noisy (traffic) and there was also a short period of time no staff members were at the counter and no hot water available.

It was superb. You will not get anything better for that price. I strongly suggest you to go there whenever visiting the city.

Central location within walking distance to everything but statue park! Great Turkish restaurant right next door and plenty of shops near by. Maybe a 20 min walk to the Chain Bridge and about the same to St. Steve's. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful...and all nice looking women to boot! Breakfast rocked and was made to order...all cold stuff but good and included in price.

Great place, great value, great location.

The good: - Rooms are decent sized, decently clean, and well equipped. - Wifi internet works and, if it didn't, there is a plug in the wall. - My room had a balcony view of the museum. - Breakfast is pretty good with both sweet and savory options. The staff brings it to your room in the morning. - The staff is very friendly, composed entirely of 20-something Hungarian girls. Need I say more? - The location is great. It's across the street from the museum, maybe a few hundred feet from the metro, and two or three blocks away from the end of Vaci Utca. - I got a pretty good deal on it. The bad: - There are cheaper hotels in Budapest, but I doubt they're half as nice for the price. - The room was a little warm at times. I think they have AC but I wasn't bothered enough to ask. The ugly: - The place is a little hard to find from the street, especially after dark. The hotel itself occupies the 2nd floor of an otherwise nondescript residential building. Bottom line: If I ever return to Budapest, I would happily stay here again, especially if I could get a good deal on it.
