The staff is definitely helpful (in a country where tourists are not always very welcome, or where people are not always correctly trained for tourism activities). A very early morning breakfast box was provided upon a single request. All questions receive quick and helpful answers. Except the barman (at 8:30pm) which was not immediately available (while bar closes at 10:30pm) and several people came by collecting drinks (for the restaurant?).
Just one night in this hotel but I was very positively surprised! Nice and spacious room. Facilities such as a 25 meter swimming pool, nice hotel bar and very complete breakfast. I will definitely come back if I am in Bucharest.
This is a very good hotel, a lot of parking around the hotel, very friendly to the hotel guests, clean and nicely rooms, perfect staff, great breakfast, even if you are a vegetarian, SPA ,swimming pools, all clean and good condition, a few minutes to airport, and many attractions, we might come back at the future.
I arrived at this hotel completely cooked at 36 ° C outside and entered my very well cooled room. This is not a standard to have this done in advance, at least so cooled down. Equipment is very good and especially the window. Why the window? because there is a rolling shutter which made this room completely dark if you want. Also a very quiet environment. Break fast was surprisingly lively due to an invasion of - very nice and polite - US retirees.. We suffered then an shortage of coffee bean and Omelette for some time but it was ok..
Location/Surroundings – Away from the tourist part of Bucharest, close to some kind of convention centre. Large and quite modern hotel with a sister property next door. Nothing much in the area to inspire tourists, there are some restaurants a short walk away. Room and Amenities – Big, well appointed room, all the amenities you could expect from a mid to upper range business hotel Food – Huge breakfast buffet, tasty selections Staff – Friendly and helpful.
ROOM Good size with Blackout curtains but TV channels selection poor. average size bathroom but good housekeeping. food breakfast buffet is good and you can request Chef to make you omelette while you wait. we tried dinner service once but waited for ages before anyone even came back to us so made a complaint and left. afterwards ate out all times for dinner. Pool nice indoor and outdoor pool. no rules clearly written about its use so expect a rude " cant do that" every now and then. some locals do visit on weekends and expect a sense of entitlement and hogging of the jacuzzi with a little bullying behavior thrown in too. weekdays it is mostly empty. customer service mixed. as with most of Romania it needs a lot of improvement. although some were very good they are brought down by those who act as if they were being forced to work in hospitality industry.
Excellent and clean hotel in Bucharest. Beautiful indoor and outdoor pool; wonderful service; varied breakfast; reasonably priced shuttle service from airport;… Only possible drawback was a limited room service menu which is sometimes important to a solo traveler.
Stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed the rooms which were small, quiet, good beds, tiny bathroom. Annoying parking lot spot lights kept on all night which shined through our window. The restaurant served buffet style was quick but terrible food if you didn't get there when it was first put on the steam tables. Not close to downtown shops.
The hotel is situated in the north side , close to a shopping area ( Baneasa shopping mall ) and also close to the park and terraces and restaurants . The breakfast is great! I don't think is missing something :) The rooms are big and the beds are comfy.
I have been staying in 10+ hotels in Bucharest as i am a frequent business traveller, and recently switched to Ramada Plaza. Although there are better locations to find near the city center, this Hotel is my favorite because of the large spa, swimming pools and huge gym inside the building. The rooms are clean, pillows are good, shower is well and air-conditioning is working like a charm. Even with 33 degrees i managed to keep my penguins cool in no-time. The breakfast buffet is offering a fine selection of spreads, warm foods and you can order an omelette. I never have dinner in Hotels so can't speak about the Restaurant. If you're in for a nice walk, navigate to the Herastau Park. It's the biggest park of Bucharest, and the walk will only take you 10 minutes. The reception service is top notch. I missed my flight, returned back in the Plaza Hotel which i already checked out from, and they offered me a room for the rest of the day until the next flight in the evening. (Special thanks to Petre, you saved my day!) I can't wait to be back here, as this place feels like homecoming.
