Bucharest is getting better and better year after year We Hungarians are full of prejudices against Romania- and vice versa. Hereby i state that all that all these prejudices are wrong and Romanians are supernice, superfriwndly people I never had bad experiences here. Crown plaza is way beyond average bizhotels Great gym, great pool, and szperfriwndly staff - and low price Highly recommended
We were originally booked in to another hotel in Bucharest for an overnight stay prior to joining a river cruise, but the venue was changed to the Crowne Plaza. We were not very happy about this initially, but it proved to be an excellent hotel, It was large, clean and staffed by an efficient and charming team. The air conditioned room was well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. Catering represented the local cuisine, although a range of alternative items were available for those who preferred more traditional meals. The only downside was that it is a bit out of the main town, however, as we were only having an overnight stay, that didn't matter.
Stayed for two nights visiting a conference in RomExpo. It's a good, quiet place. The breakfast was not included in the stay but was well worth the price. They charge extra for parking too :/ The room was perfectly usable with a great bathroom and a complimentary hot drinks kettle. The air conditioning was a bit loud but not unbearable. I would stay there again for sure. And it was in walking distance from RomExpo. The location is a bit away from the city center but with the cheap taxis this isn't an issue. In fact I liked that it's not too noisy from the streets.
Stayed one night as part of a tour. The room and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The mattress was on the firm side. The staff were welcoming and nice despite being inundated with multiple groups at the same time. The tour company arranged for a buffet dinner so we did not eat in the restaurant. We did not have breakfast as our flight left early. They were thoughtful enough to put together a breakfast to-go bag unfortunately the sandwich bread was very dry. The hotel seemed far from the interesting part of the city. Overall a comfortable stay.
The hotel is placed in a nice location in Bucharest, very close to the parks and lakes. It has a special inner design and while you are having your having your breakfast you can watch the playing squirrels. The bar is very comfortable and the staff is kind. Recommended
Comparing to Intercontinental - it's not as good. not from location perspective, and not from room quality. the location is not close to the old city center like the Intercontinental, and the rooms are nice, but not as good. Also breakfast is not as good as in the Inter. Bottom line - if you can - book Intercontinental.
I stayed in a suite because of booking issues at a reduced rate. The room was fine, too much for a short nights stay. A few irritating issues: - Whatever I tried, I could not completely silence the airco and this one was not the silent type... - The coffee machine blinked with blue lights in the dark and I could not get to the plug to pull it out - Forgot my comb, there is this nice sign that they will supply you with whatever you forgot. Really? Standing naked in the bathroom with 30 minutes before pick up? There is not tooth brush, shaving kit etc as well. A room with that price?? There is a sign that says: it are the small details that matter... The Good: - Free wifi everywhere, easy to access - Pleasant staff - Size of the room - Setup of the hotel, bar etc - Pillows - The breakfast - Outdoor restaurant The Bad: - The bed: it is very wide but it is also to sturdy, and it is to short (unless you are Romanian perhaps) - The airco: please make it easy to turn off (instructions maybe?) - Wifi throughput: access and free, yes, but it is so sloooow - Can I somehow turn off the blinking lights of the coffee machine next time (solved by putting towels over it now)
Our stay was very pleasant. We stayed in a Family room. The room was very clean and comfortable. This Hotel is located by the Gare de Nord and there is a bus to and from Henri Coanda Airport. The food was very nice too. The price of the Room was actually the same as what we had previously paid in a B&B...
We booked in for one night as we were flying out early from Bucharest Airport early the following morning. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. All the staff we met, from the receptionist and the restaurant staff right through to the shuttle driver, were friendly helpful and efficient.
Stayed at this hotel for a week. The staff were great and the room was comfortable. My room was not made up on one night and I was only able to get a couple of channels on the the TV all week. The hotel is close to the airport but you need to Uber it to downtown. You are limited to the hotel restaurant as there is nothing really else around, though some nice areas to walk around. Overall, comfortable, but more conducive for business than pleasure.
