We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 nights in this lovely property in Bucerius. Home is very well equipped especially for 2 couples with the 2 separate bedrooms & bathrooms. Mark the owner and manager is very helpful and accommodating. We plan on returning.

Mark was amazing, communication from the start was great. The Casita was above expextations, clean, comfortable and the bed made us sleep-in every day. Now, the pool and yard were incredible!! Heated saltwater pool!!! So many palm trees and plants around the pool and property made it amazing. We will definitely go again. Thank you very much Mark.

We love this place. Everything is perfect. Our hosts are awesome. The pool is super clean. The house is spotless. Loved opening all the doors and enjoying the breeze drift through the house. The grounds are beautiful. We didn't want to leave.

Our host, Mark could not have been better. Constantly checking to make sure we were comfortable. The place is a jewel. A block off the beach and yet hidden away from the hustle and bustle. The pool is wonderful with shade from the palm trees and shrubbery. Rooms are large and comfortable with AC and fans. The kitchen is well equipped and the living area is comfortable with lots of seating. We spent most of our time on the terrace, enjoying the garden and the pool.

This is a must-stay—our experience was fantastic! Mark is a wonderful host and incredibly accommodating. The property is beautifully maintained and exactly as shown. We swam in the heated pool every day, surrounded by a gorgeous tropical garden, and the fountain beside the pool adds a lovely, peaceful touch.The two-bedroom, two-bath home is very comfortable, with air conditioning in every room. It was especially nice to arrive to thoughtful starter comforts like coffee, condiments, and a few spices, as well as plenty of plates and cutlery.Ginger, the onsite dog, is an absolute sweetheart and greeted us with a cheerful good morning each day. We also enjoyed chatting with Mark and Katrina—they truly make you feel welcome.The location is outstanding: close enough to the highway for easy transportation, yet far enough away that there’s no noise at all. Situated in the Golden Zone, there are many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Centro is about a 10–15 minute walk with lots of activity, and the beach is just two minutes away. Weekly cleaning was another appreciated bonus.We will definitely be returning and wholeheartedly recommend this place to others!

I highly recommend this clean & private casita with an amazing back yard oasis! Having visited Bucerias before,I initially selected this property because of its great location so that we could easily walk to the beach & to be close to many of the delicious restaurants in the area. Upon arriving, the property quickly exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was large,clean & well stocked. The hosts provided bottled water, coffee,sugar, spices & milk which was very much appreciated. The bright & spacious indoor/outdoor main living area was truly amazing & we took advantage of the shaded terrace every morning to enjoy our coffee. The grounds are immaculately maintained with beautiful foliage & the whole property is very safe & secure. If you plan to bring your pup like we did, it was nice to allow him to roam freely in the huge yard knowing that he could not get out. Our whole family was able to enjoy the refreshing salt water pool & sun loungers with our dog, which is something that is not possible if you are in a condo with a shared pool. We were also provided with beach chairs & towels, umbrella & even a pool robe. The hosts are truly wonderful & they really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay perfect. They are also very respectful of your privacy & enjoyment of their shared property. Mark even offered to drive us to the airport at the end of our stay. Such a wonderful & “stress free” ending to an already fantastic & relaxing holiday!

Host canceled reservation the night before our arrival

At 4 AM I received the message sent the night before by the host who canceled our reservation, saying that his wife evicted him from the property. We were left high and dry to find another place to stay. It was a horrible experience for us, and we probably will not be using VRBO again thank you.

An Oasis

As others have said, Casa de Colores is an oasis in the active Bucerias scene. With well maintained greenery, various flowering plants, and heated salt water pool, you can relax and enjoy the comfort of indoor or outdoor dining, open air living room if you choose, fully provided kitchen, washer and dryer, and two bedrooms and baths. All this only a 15 minute walk from Bucerias Centro, a 15 minute walk to a large grocery store, a 5 minute walk to the beach with the provided beach chairs and umbrella, and short walks to the many excellent Bucerias restaurants. Mark was a great host and made our week there very enjoyable despite the unusually cloudy and rainy week.

Great week in Bucerias

Mark was very accommodating with check in and checkout. The property is well maintained and there is everything we needed to cook some light meals for breakfast and lunch. We were two couples and had plenty of room for all of us. But the absolute best part is the location. Very close to some great restaurants. While we were in Bucerias La Dolce Vita opened their newest location a block from this property. Very good spot for Italian food. Also Paninos Bakery is back on Lázaro Cárdenas a block further south. At night the property is well lit, quiet and very secure. The pool is heated just right and we went in every afternoon.

Great place to stay it will beat your expectations

Very clean and well stocked kitchen. It met all expectations and more. Very helpful host and always available if you need them. Very private and close to the beach and restaurants. Clean pool and grounds.

A Beautiful Oasis

We loved our 7-day stay. It was as I said an oasis within all the hustle and bustle of the town. You could reach amenities easily within walking distance. The host was very helpful and provided us with chairs and buggy boards for the beach. The best part other than we felt very comfortable there, was the heated pool which is not guaranteed in Mexico.

Casa de Colores (casa roja)

Casa de Colores was amazing! I don't know how else to sum it up. The place was incredibly inviting the moment we walked through the gate. The open air living room over looking the heated pool and well manicured yard, the well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and luxury creature comforts such as satellite tv made for a very relaxing and comfortable vacation. The place was secure, spotless, and the hosts are more than accommodating. Mark was tentative from booking until the day we left. He had beach supplies waiting for us, and pool towels in our place. While sharing grounds might detour some people, they were quiet and discreate and it felt like we had the yard and pool to ourselves. Mark and Rose have their pets, which was also welcomed as we left ours behind (we were pretty sure one of our daughters was plotting a way to get their cat back home with us). I was able to use the bbq to cook, borrowed a golf cart to head to the mercado, and if we had any questions he was right next door to ask. My wife and I along with our 2 daughters made the trip, and we were all very sad to leave on the last day. We have stayed in other places in Mexico, however we have definitely found a repeat place to stay. We are already trying to figure out our schedules for the next trip - until next time.

The beautiful Casa Roja Is a private, tranquil spot to relax as you explore Bucerias

This lovely casa exceeded our expectations! The garden is lovely and tranquil, a beautiful spot to sunbathe and enjoy the saltwater pool. We looked forward to returning each day after exploring Bucerias and the surrounding towns. The property is secure, the house is well equipped with everything you could need and comfortable, with great wifi, Netflix and Canadan digital TV. It was nice to be able to shop at the local grocery stores and chose to eat in or out. Having Mark living on the property in his own home was a bonus; he was separate and private but always available if we had questions or needed assistance, and you will not find a more gracious host. We can't wait to return!

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Casa De Colores. The house and gardens are just as advertised, pool area even better. Mark had all the essentials we needed for kids to play in both the pool and at the beach including sand toys, boogie boards, umbrella, bikes etc. The kitchen was very well stocked and there is a market for any basic needs just a few blocks away. We found Mark delightful and very helpful. I would say the location of the house was as good as it gets in Bucerias. Due to its close proximity to both beach and eateries there is some evening noise but only on the weekends. We hope to come again sooner than later.

Wonderful stay in a comfortable casita in a great location .

This 2-bedroom casita was very well-equipped for 2-4 people. Really enjoyed the large heated, saltwater pool surrounded by lots of greenery, and the private terrace for outdoor living. We would not hesitate to recommend this rental property. Many thanks to Mark & Rose for their hospitality.
