The lobby us very nice, however, the room left a lot to be desired. The shower floods the bathroom and the room was freezing cold all night.

close to the train station and the old city quarter

This is not a luxurious hotel but does offer decent comfortable accommodation. Front desk personnel are nice and accommodating. Not all rooms are air conditioned but most are. Buffet breakfast is OK but seems to run out of items quite fast. Location is very good for train and public transportation users. Walking to city center takes about 20 minutes. I would stay at this hotel again if value is there.

Great location and cute small hotel. For the price, the room was very nice. Very good breakfast.

Not the nicest hotel but for the price it was what I needed. Close to the train station and a couple of places to eat are close by. The room is so small when I opened the door it hit the bed. I did not really want to sleep on the bed and the room was pretty cold even though the heat was on. Other than that I would say it was an OK stay. The customer service was really nice though

Room assigned was hot all the time, September, when we complained, nothing was done. Opening the stairway door helped the hall way but not the room! Leaving the window open was not enough and the traffic noise made it impossible to sleep. Save your money for another place.

We stayed here for the night on our way from London to Amsterdam. It worked out good because it was close to the Midi train station and Grand Place. Average hotel but decent price and did the job.

This hotel is very conveniently located, just walking distace from the south station - gare midi. The hotel facilities are good, the room is nice, and the breakfast was very nice. The hotel staff needs training, he would not even help me with directions to get to the hotel and even while check in he was busy with his phone.

nothing special, the room was small and the bathroom was a little bit not that good. the breakfast was relatively OK.

Hotel was average. The area is a bit run down, but safe. Location is great. 5 minutes from the Brussel's Midi rail station. 10 to 15 minute walk (a straight shot for the most part) to the Grand Place.

The only reason to stay here is if you are taking the TGV to Paris departing from Brussel Zuid, which is less than a kilometer away. Other than that the neighborhood is filthy, the pipes squeak like an old pirate ship every time someone flushes, and the wall are paper thin. A large group of teenagers were checking in at the same time and did their best to turn the place into a zoo for a few hours. At least the elevator works, the check in guy was very nice and the room was mostly clean if run down. The air conditioning was new and comfortable. The Grote Markt is a few kilometers away so if you don't mind a walk this might be a good place for the money. Did not stay for breakfast as the train left in the AM. We have stayed here on two occasions but will not return.

It was an okay room, the good part was it was close to the train station. But we still didn't like the location because it was a very shady area.
