Can't really fault the hotel. It's a small centrally located hotel and if you blink you miss it. The rooms are just the right size.. may be small if you are 2. I found the rooms to be very very clean and the reception staff pleasant and very helpful with directing me to various tourist destinations (all of which are walking distances from the hotel). If I had to go to Brussels again, I would not mind staying here. Only miss for me was very loud cleaning staff who made a point of discussing loudly in the corridors.
Great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was one of the better that I've had in Europe and 'Tea Time' was a nice snack between lunch and dinner. Rooms were decently sized and bed was really comfortable. Toilet was kind of squeezed into a corner in the bathroom, but that was probably the worst thing about the whole place.
Rooms are refurbished and elegant, nice lobby. Position of the hotel is good, quite close to the grand place, a five minutes walk. Area is all right, yet quite some homeless people about and shouting in the street during the night. Not much the hotel can do about i suppose.
It's a very pleasure stay in this hotel, breakfast very good, excellent the happy our in the afternoon because it's free!!! Surely I will come back or I'll suggest to my friends. The location is very good it's close to metro and central square!!!
The room and bathroom were cozy and wide. Clean and a good decoration . The staff, very helpful and kind. Very central . A couple of walking minutes from the Maneken Piss, the Bourse, la Grande Place... From there just on foot to the most important sightseeing spots. Only to visit the Atomium one needs some minutes by subway. Between two of the main railway stations in the city: central station and gare du midi. From both you can travel in a short time for your excursions to Ghent, Bruges... The only "but" is that if you want a room with and exterior window you must pay a bit more , otherwise the Windows get to the hotel lobby. A must , every afternoon for free the customers are offered a delicious snack with cakes , sandwiches , fruit juices, great coffee.
Would totally come back to Catalonia, the experience was amazing. Check in rep was very informative and had great customer service. Only thing negative I can say is when you put the card outside for housekeeping through the day, they just make up the bed and fix the towels
The hotel has a good location, close to the Grande Place. The rooms are well furnished and the bathroom is of a good size and with all the usual amenities. The room safe didn´t work, it had a back button that was needed to set the combination, but it didn´t work. The beds were too stiff. We had an extra sofa bed that was uncomfortable, as expected, but the main bed had the same stiffness. I have no complaints. But I, probably, will have no memories either.
We were disappointed by the customer service and general attitude of the hotels employees. I asked for an extra pillow, blanket, and crib for my baby and the evening shift rep said that housekeeping was gone and she didn't know where any of it was. After 10 mins of talking with her she was able to locate a pillow and blanket and put us on a list for the morning reps to get a crib. The message want relayed but we did get a crib he next day. The rooms were OK, nothing great, and they do not have a restaurant, which I though 4 stars were supposed to have. They have "high tea" which is terribly disappointing in both the food and the way the person in charge of it watches and monitors everyone who comes near. And don't you dare try to bring anything to your child who is napping in the room, no food is allowed to leave the area, for some reason. They do serve breakfast which we did not do because it seemed overpriced. The location is good, but the street it's on is a little shady. One street up its fine. It's walkable to most tourist things you'd want to do. Parking is not onsite, you have to park in a public garage, there are a couple within walking distance. There is nowhere to unload bags, the street in front is a one-lane, one-way street. We won't stay here again.
I believe the 4 stars is a figured speech for this hotel. With a very economic offer from the Catalonia recognized brand. I would recommend to stay here. Showers are not clean and comfortable. AC and mini bar fridge don't work properly. Also non smoking hotel sign is a joke!. I guess the staff is the only thing that can be recognize for their patience and services oriented attitude.
Hotel is in a great location but parking is difficult ( have to find a space on the street). When we arrived we were greeted by an extremely friendly member of staff who made myself and my family complementry coffee which was great after a long drive. The hotel was very noisey at night however it was a 5 minute walk from the Grand Place and lots of restaurants. There is also air conditioning in the rooms and free wifi.
