Beautiful home

Our family of 10 stayed at Emerald Pines for Thanksgiving 2023. We really enjoyed the home and the location. It was steep getting to the house in places but was fine for us. Lots of games for our littles to enjoy and adults enjoyed the hot rub and sitting around the fire pit.

The roads to the cabin were absolutely horrendous! Pot holes and gravel on steep inclines

Water pressure was horrible and not enough toilet paper left. There was only one roll in each bathroom. Over all the cabin was beautiful

Great Stay Once You Get There

With 6 adults and 4 children, the house was a perfect fit. It was well furnished and everything worked. We always look for remote quiet property for our family vacations and this fit the bill. In the summer, be sure to use a lot of DEET spray because the chiggers were everywhere! On the flip side, we will not be back unless the roads on the property get fixed. They are in absolutely terrible shape with a lot of loose rock and gravel hiding almost continuous potholes. Not knowing that, we took my wife's Lexus SUV and it really beat us up. But it was a great trip. We built bonfires for the kids in spite of the 95 F. heat and they had a great time. It's actually in the state park so there are a lot of good trailheads for hiking close by and a LOT of clear, clean water in the lake and streams. Good vacation...
