We had just 1 night here but wish we had stayed longer, Part of the package is the Dolphin feeding around 6pm. This is a truly amazing experience that should not be missed. Will one day hopefully return to do the things we didn't get time to do. Many thanks for our fantastic stay.
Hard to fault location. Villas are very tired and in poor repair for the price of accommodation. If staying again would plan on doing more self catering. Great dolphin experience. Great for kids. Baby travel cot provided by resort- I would suggest you bring own bedding for cot.
Overall we had a great time and that was even with a full day of rain out of 3 days stayed. Fascitilies are very nice and more than enough to keep you occupied. Great snorkling on the wreaks, heaps of fish species and not overcrowded while we were there. We thought food and drink was reasonably priced considering logistics to get to the island and store/chill it.The only real complaint i could have is that smoking is allowed on balconies, so if you have neighbours who dont appear to go and do anything, everytime we sat on our balcony we had to forgo the fresh sea air for the disgusting smell of those on adjacent balconies puffing away. Also, charging you each time you want to open your locker is pretty stupid considering at swimming locations, you dont want to take phones/wallets with you and have to pay each time to open up the locker to get some money to buy a snack or drink otherwise we will be back....
Very relaxing place, beach was very good for kids to swim. Beautiful scenery. Very special experience to get close to feed dolphins. very goog place for fishing. Although the weather was very bad, we still did most of water activity. Staff were very friendly.
We were treated differently because we were in a timeshare. (Interval/Accor) The accommodation was very standard. Studio room , my husband got a sore back sitting on the single bed to watch the little tv and eat his meals (no chairs or tables) we spent a lot of time in the room as it rained all week or in the coffee shop in the armchairs there. Our luggage was left in the rain when we arrived and I had to carry our luggage up the stairs while two of your staff stood and talked, did not offer to assist. I have a bad back and am over 60. As I was nearly up the stairs , an older lady who was housekeeping staff ran after me and offered to assist but I was almost there. We had an adjoining door to the next room and there was a family in there. A child woke at 6-30am every morning and started talking and making a noise playing with toys. I complained several times to your reception desk regarding the smoking arrangements. My husband has asthma (and some other chronic diseases) and he tried to rest and watch tv in the room as it was raining all week. Several times he had to close the doors as the guests below us smoked under our balcony and the smoke wafted up into our room. Your staff said they would speak to them, but if your policy allows this , your other guests probably said "get lost"" The last evening the same happened as I went to take a towel of the chair on the balcony , on the adjoining balcony another guest was setting up on the little table with an ashtray to smoke and entertain till midnight there. Our room D25 was opposite Kookaburra foyer. This is the noisiest resort we have ever stayed in. Each time a ferry came or went there was the forklift trucks towing the bins collecting and delivering luggage to this building. The noise was constant and my husband was woken several times as he tried to rest. I could not go on the dolphin feeding as soon as the person saw we were in timeshare , I was told that I had to go on the waitlist. The morning that we left, I personally gave our luggage to the guys collecting luggage at Kookaburra so that it would be ok. When we arrived in Bris. my luggage had been added to the top of the bin (its a cloth bag) and again it was all wet as it rained during the trip. We purchased some meals in the Beach House . Even though they were expensive for pre prepared French fries and seafood. We purchased a seafood basket. The buzzer did not work, the meal was tiny, the coleslaw gave him the runs and the chips were cold.
It's really a wonderful experience in the island. It's beautiful and we hv had a lot of fun their. The employee there are always willing to help you. They speak English, Japnese, as well as Chinese.Tks a lot.
Always a pleasure to return to this resort on the Tangalooma Ferry! The food is good, staff are very friendly, helpful and pleasant. All amenities and facilities are kept spotlessly clean and the gardens are immaculate. A tip though would be to consider keeping all costs within reach of the average Australian family.
Had a 3 night stay at Tangalooma with another family (total 4 adults 4 kids until 4). It was great! Dolphin feeding was excellent and location was amazing! Lovely 10 second walk to the beach which worked well for the kids. Paths for them to ride their scooters on and enough undercover areas in the rain. But coffee bar didn't open until 7:30am (far too late for parents with small children!) and meal ordering process was disjointed where you couldn't order chips from one bar but had to order burgers from that bar and drinks from then another bar! I don't mind a separate food and drink ordering but not 3 separate ones for every meal! Also choice of healthy meals was limited. Self-BBQ facilities were great (clean and all working well) but we had a room right beside one and the light was on all night (automatically came on at dusk until dawn) even though we were the only ones who used it in the 4 days. Overall it was a great holiday spot but just could improve the customer experience and there would be a lot more repeat business.
Great location, do the quad bike tour, food expensive, lots of activities to enjoy if weather is good. Resort room average and a bit noisy. Had a great time and will revisit. A definite must if in Brisbane.
Our family had a great visit thank you. This was our first year using the Timeshare system. We look forward to returning with hopefully some better weather (a little bit of sun would be appreciated. The resort staff were friendly and helpful. Our room (A6) was the perfect size for our family of six, it was both functional and clean, it was located close to all amenities (beach, pool, bbq and eating facilities). The heated pool came in very handy during the week, as the weather was on the cooler side. My family travelled on the Tangalooma flyer and I used the Micat (as I used my 4x4), it would of been more convenient if closer parking was available (I used the south end car park), as it is quite a hike to get all of our luggage and other items from the car park to our room (especially due to the weather conditions). We ate at the Beach café on several nights, the cost and quality of the food was fair and reasonable. On one night we ate at 'Fire and Stone', which I thought was over-priced and the food was very average, I don't mind paying higher prices, but I didn't think the prices justified the quality of food or service. Thank you.
