Cant fault absolutely amazing place to holiday been a couple of years ago with friend loved it. This time took the kids & they had the best time ever. If I had to pick only one highlight out the hundreds I would have to say the dolphin feed a truly amazing experience loved loved loved this whole place
We recently enjoyed 3 fabulous days on Moreton Island staying in the Deep Blue Apartments. Our Apartment was excellent - thanks very much. Tangalooma was fabulous for our 3 day break - we spent every day snorkelling around the wrecks - what a fantastic experience. We also took a chopper ride around the island - that was really interesting and of course, enjoyed seeing the wild dolphins come in for a feed every night. There are also some really nice walks close to the resort. Generally, it was a wonderful experience EXCEPT.. the food options.. unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy much in the way of dining - Never got to try the Stone Grill as it was closed on the Sunday & Monday evenings, the themed section was all packed up by 7:00pm leaving us only the fried takeaway or the weird and confused Asian/Tapa's outlet. It was unfortunate as certainly don't want to worry about cooking and much prefer to eat out when we are away, however when we next go to Tangalooma (and we will go back) we will take our own food.
Had another enjoyable week at Tangalooma Resort. Weather wasn't the best but managed to get in several swims. The gardens surrounds are great and there is always a tree to cool off under. The on tap beers were cold but at times took an awful long time to get served. Please put on more bar staff who know what they're doing.
Absolutely amazing destination for a break from reality. Pristine gardens, pool, beach, accomodation and amenities . Lovely staff- friendly and helpful. Relaxed environment and atmosphere. Interesting and well balanced activities that leave you feeling rejuvenated. The overall experience revitalises the mind, body and soul.
Went for the weekend, had a wonderful time. Staff are friendly and helpful, beautiful location, loved the dolphin feeding. Stayed in a unit with spectacular views. Water is crystal clear, didn't want to leave.
The house is fabulous, far from the crowds of the resort and a fully equipped kitchen so you can cook your own food. Excellent if you have kids or fussy eaters, as there are limited food options at the resort. This house is nearly 200 stairs away from the resort. You are able to hire a buggy from the resort for $100 per day. Something you may want to factor into the cost!! When hiring you need drivers license.
Ill get the Bad Experience out of way , the reason i scored a 3 up top we took a snorkeling trip to the wrecks , The Blokes in the water deserve a 4.5 , the 2 on the boat , i was sic so stayed on the Boat , 2 attendant s , 1 was trying to belittle the other within ear shoot of me , i saw a Family of 4 from the beach swim toward us & the wrecks , the 2 were otherwise distracted , I pointed out that there were 4 swimmers nearly beside their Outboard s , there was a bit of wind , who ever was Boss decided to take the boat out of eye view on the otherwise of the wrecks for 5 min , if there had been an emrgency in the Water ???? more TRAINING please
Brilliant family holiday even tho it rained. Thoroughly enjoy the trivia night. This is a brilliant place to bring my entire family that was not too far away from Brisbane but felt like we will know the miles away from civilisation.
Tangalooma is a good place to visit for the day / 1 night or 2 nights max (Solo traveler on this occasion) Hot destination for P&O cruise ship passengers, who flock into the island throughout the day as the ships moored a good few kms out. Snorkelling the sunken ship wreck was unreal - by far the highlight of the trip. Accommodation is tired, yet comfortable. A prime example of your stock standard Queenslander island. The gimmicky island activities are plentiful ie glass bottom boat, sunset cruise etc I can assure you, people certainly don't come here for the food.. dinner has three options, casual take away, fish & chips, pizzas etc & a pleasant Asian restaurant (split into two) one side serving up a western selection and the other, traditional Asian. This seems to give you ‘more bang for your buck'. Buffet breakfast is pleasant but as standard as they come (inclusive in my package) Dolphin feeding was a cool, interesting experience. Super touristy and sadly over before you know it. I guess where else do you have the opportunity to feed wild Dolphins?! Relaxing? yeah sure. This place Is really what you make of it.. Tangalooma Island Resort. 2.5 clams out of 5. Ill be back for sure.
We often holiday here and we find most of the staff amazing , it is quiet and nice as a basic get away so close to home. We always have plenty to do if we just want to relax or we decide to taake part in the activities on offer. We had the most amazing Tomahawk Steak and most of the other food was fantastic, a little dissapointing that the fishermans basket didn't contain fresh ingredients considering the location.
