Away from city noise, Enjoy beautiful beach and sunset. Kids friendly with plenty of activities. Remember to bring your own volleyball, basketball, badminton if you want to play after hours. You can also go fishing at the jetty. So many smart fish that make fishing challenge. We went there with another family. In total there are 6 kids. They went for quite a few activities including quad bike, sand sliding, parasailing, snorkelling, dolphin feeding, and badminton, basketball, volleyball etc. The kids love beach volleyball. It will be great if we brought our own balls so that we can play after 5pm. No need to bring body board as there is no much wave. The room sound insulation is not so good. We were asked to lower our voice due to a baby sleeping early next door. I'll go there again.

I thought the food was a little over priced and for the quality needs improvement. The convience store was highly priced along with takeaway from the bar. The overall resort is great and would go again and again and recommend to others.

What a perfect spot. We will definately be back. Thanks Tangalooma for an awesome time. My family had the time of their lives. It was the perfect spot to sit back and watch the world go by. What an amazing destination.

Could not recommend this place more highly for the sheer beauty of the island and all the marine life it has to offer. The wrecks were personally my favourite experience, the quantity and diversity of marine life, including fish, turtles, wobbegongs and even dolphins found around the wrecks blew my mind! Other activities, both water-based (kayaking, swimming) and land based (desert safari, atv's) exceeded my expectations and were very memorable. A couple of words of warning: the wrecks are approximately 100m offshore and often the current is strong with waters several metres deep between shore and the wrecks. Currents can be quite strong depending on tides and weather conditions, so unless your a strong swimmer, it may be best to hire a Kayak /motor boat from tanga water sports, which is $$$. Also, bring as much food as possible if on a tight budget, there is not much variety in eating options, with a small convenience store and a couple of restaurants charging a premium. All activities are quite exy, so not budget friendly and would recommend taking quite a bit of spending money. Would rate 4/5, everything was exceptional but for the high pricing for food and activities. A must do for brisbane locals and tourists alike

A hidden gem right on our doorstep!! We live in Brisbane and were presently surprised how great Tangalooma was for our family holiday! The kids had a great time and met plenty of new friends. A safe and friendly environment with a great beach!!

we have been coming here every year for the last 9-10 years, seen a lot of changes to the resort, the villas are basically unchanged, some really do need an upgrade, especially the outdoor furniture and kitchens and bathrooms, stayed last year in deep blue, couldn't fault it, service in most areas was generally ok, with the exception of the coffee shop, really slow at peak times. Location of the resort is just brilliant.

The location and natural aspects were amazing. It is a perfect, peaceful and idyllic location. The resort beach is beautiful and obviously alot of work is put in maintaining the natural environment. The beach is always clean and safe, the gardens are beautiful, there is never rubbish lying around, lots of lush grassy areas to play and a fair amount of shade, away from the main resort buildings. The option of heated or unheated pools are lovely when you're sick of sand! All of the tour guides we dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to chat. We tried to participate in dolphin feeding on 2 nights but ended up giving it a miss as there were just too many people for it to be enjoyable with young children. We stayed in a villa which was located a 15 minute walk from the main resort, long walk but worth it to be away from the busy main resort area. The villa was a beautiful location but inside was outdated, old and poorly maintained. We were given 4 towels for 6 people, sheets were clean but blankets obviously don't get changed as they were sandy and dirty. Furniture in bedrooms was old and damaged. upstairs screens were full of holes and one floor to cling window upstairs had a flysreen (not security) which was not attached at the bottom. My 3yr old almost fell out. Some of the double hung windows didn't hold position and dropped straight to the floor when unlocked, again quite dangerous for kids. Two of the hotplate on the gas stove didn't work and the remaining 2 couldn't be turned down. Kichen was stocked OK, but missing some essentials like peeler, masher, scissors, etc. Microwave had to be scrubbed before we could use it, had melted cheese baked on. Screen doors dont lock so had to close up main doors whenever we left, making place very hot. No visible smoke detectors. We paid a fortune to have breakfast at tursiops buffet every morning (5 days) and never found everything working at once. Coffee machines broken, pancake machines always empty (we were only able to have pancakes on one day), toasters not working or turned off, scrambled eggs tasted like powder, most dishes were almost empty and dried out, dishes were rarely clean and there was rarely coffee cups. Everything was sticky from honey and maple syrup. Fruit was fresh. Selection would have been good if kept stocked. Would not pay to eat there again though. Food court was loud, confusing to use and had long lines to be served in the various cafes. Staff were very rude and rushed. Long wait to get anything, even at the bar where there was no-one lined up. Service at Fire resturaunt was poor, we had to fond someone to order and chase down our drinks, and get our desert brought out (half hr after we finished our meal). Prices were very high and poor value. We will return as it is a beautiful location and plenty of interesting things to do, but we won't waste the time or money eating at the resort again and will look for a private villa rental rather than the tangalooma managed villas.

My daughter had been to this resort 17 years ago and when we planned this trip we had to include this in our itinerary It was just as magical as she remembered. After a hectic 2 weeks the few days we spent here was ideal. The weather was perfect, the beach and pools inviting, the room clean and the amenities just what i would want. This was one of the best parts of our trip. Will definitely return if I ever get a chance again. It was hard to leave

It’s paradise on our doorstep. We stay at the resort numerous times during the year as it’s so close to brisbane. It’s a shame they don’t have a better loyalty program as I should be a platinum member and always rave about how great it is. It would be nice for the staff to actually make an effort to welcome you back.

Tangalooma Resort was like a home away from home - we were sad to leave. Lots of fun activities, great food and a beautiful, safe island paradise. We would recommend a visit to all our family and friends. Definately going back!!
