Very large bathroom, somewhat small living area. I like the color scheme inthe room but while the furniture is in excellent condition, it looks a bit out of the 80s. The staff was nice, but I'd say 3 star nice, not 4/5 star nice. The meal served at the bar/restaurant could have been better- the meat was quite tough. the hotel is located in a very good location. Internet charges extra.

Didn't clean the rooms completely. Dirty dishes left in room for several days. Forgot to leave conditioner. We asked them to supply us with extra towels & wash cloths everyday. They said sure, but it was not done. Sheets weren't changed everyday

I stayed here from Dec. 7-11 2-16 hotel is pretty much rundown, Breakfast buffet is horrible, our room they don't clean it well, the's some mold in the bathroom, AC doesn't work that good, also be careful on room #1703 don't walk around in the bathroom because there's a crack on the tile and it's very sharp. For what I paid including Breakfast, valet Park is overpriced. This is hotel is not 4-5 stars. The only thing is good about his hotel is close to the river, Restaurants and ferries. However, there are plenty accommodations nearby or I highly recommend the Marriott Hotel Brisbane they have great Breakfast buffet, hotel overall are very clean. The reason I picked the Stamford hotel because my sister from Brisbane wanted to experience it...and she's not very happy either.

We have previously used the Stamford Plaza in Brisbane and were looking forward to our return. Again, we were not disappointed. Check in was quick, easy and most friendly. The concierge staff were helpful and had our luggage to our room in no time at all. The room was as expected with a lovely night view over the river to the Story Bridge. The beds and pillows are comfortable and we certainly enjoyed a good nights sleep each night. Our only disappointment in the cost of breakfast at this hotel. While we only needed something small each morning the cost is very high. Given the location is so close to the Queen Street Mall and the river cafes we were not without good alternatives to meet our need. We did enjoy complimentary drinks at the Pav Bar each evening ... Thank you Stamford! The staff were friendly, attentive and we were most happy. The ambience is lovely. We will return to the Stamford Plaza in the future, it's our home away from home when in Brisbane.

Brisbane lacks enough hotels to cater for visitors and as such prices for Brisbane hotels can be expensive. This icon of a hotel in Brisbane is a staple and very good.

Right on the river, most rooms with exçellent river views, within walking distance to city and riverbank nicest shops and restaurants. No wi fi in all rooms.

There was no hot water one morning and the staff were rude. I had to speak with the manager who explained that they were doing work on the hot water and something had gone wrong. Their nonchalant manner was infuriating. On the positive side, the room was awesome. great view. We got lots of free drink vouchers upon arrival.

We spent 3 nights at the Stamford Plaza at the end of a two week Australian vacation. The hotel was very elegant, yet comfortable and a very reasonable price. We had a nice view of the river from our room. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the main shopping area and public transportation. The riverwalk and botanic gardens are literally right outside the door. Hotel staff were polite and helpful.

In spite of the hotel's five-star rating, the staff is without pretention and entirely approachable. If the rooms had free wifi, the hotel, which has a central location and excellent views of the river, would be perfect.

First class welcoming staff

Enjoyed stay at the Stamford. Did not expect charges for parking. Cost $10.00 per night. We got attention when we entered Hotel but no one gave attention for parking when we left. Cost was $40.00 Valet service.

They were always friendly and helpful. Sadly the pool was closed when we were there. Nice closeness for "city cat" transportation along the river.

This is my second stay at Stamford. My first visit was on business and I stayed two weeks and this was for 9 days. My partner and I enjoyed our visit. You can't beat the location. The bathrooms are spacious, the view of the Brisbane river and the botanical gardens were majestic, and the service simply top-notched. I also love the central location of the Plaza - close to public transportation and if you are a runner/walker you will love the paths along the river.

An outstanding hotel with a superb location right on the river bank and only steps from some great restaurants. Walking and running paths along the river are plentiful and easily accessed. don't miss the botanical gardens next door.

Very nice hotel, nice breakfast buffet and high tea. Close to shopping, great service. Only thing we found not up to par was; hot tub was not hot and pool is rarely in the sun due to the shadow that is created by the hotel building itself. Rooms were a bit small but worked out ok.

disappointing
