This is a boutique hotel, an original old Queensland house converted into a contemporary hotel. The rooms are a little dark but have very comfy beds Great helpful and friendly staff. lovely breakfasts. Easy location to everywhere

A lovely hotel not too far from the centre of Brisbane; the staff were very helpful and there was parking on site. Our room was rather dark and not particularly large but the beds were comfortable; we understand the rooms in the adjacent building are much larger. There was a small amount of noise from the reception and restaurant due to the location of our room. The highlight has to be the food, the breakfasts were amazing and of a very high quality, it was like having an evening meal for breakfast and set us up for the day. All in all a great find

We stayed here prior to going to the races, they let us check in early and took care of our luggage for us. When we returned at night we had drinks on the very cute roof top bar and then dinner in their restaurant. Their food is a amazing and catered for my Gluten Free diet very well. Our breakfast was also included, we were offered a full breakfast menu to choose from, fantastic food once again. The rooms are very well appointed and very comfortable. Great value for money.

Every time I stay at a Spicers, I want to book for at least a week to relax and sock up all that is offered. I stay at least once a year for a long weekend. I love my stays with my family and waking up to the best breakfast ever. I recommend you stay at this Spicers Balfour Hotel when in Brisbane.

Spicers Balfour is a gem of a hotel tucked in between the city and the Valley. Successfully marrying luxury with comfort; from the fitout to the service. Complemented by superb dining. We will most certainly return.

The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. There was a separate kitchenette equipped with a fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The whole building has free WiFi that was stable and speedy. A Bluetooth speaker was provided so that either of us could share our music. The bathroom was large, well equipped and the shower pressure was excellent. Breakfast was included and was served in the main building. The quality of the food was excellent and this establishment does in fact include a celebrated restaurant. Overall, an excellent experience.

Spiders is a beautiful retreat with friendly and welcoming smiles, thoughtful service and wonderful, well-appointed rooms. With a rooftop bar, stunning views and tasty hors d'ouvres our evening was capped off by the passionate chef Jordan and his amazing creative menu.

Stayed one night at Spicers Balfour Brisbane. A great location in New Farm within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Room was not quite ready upon arrival and we taken to the rooftop bar for a complimentary drink. The view and service was amazing. Within five minutes the room was ready. The property and room were immaculate and tastefully designed. The bed and can’t forget the pillows, most comfortable I’ve slept in. Had dinner at the restaurant Balfour Kitchen. Well worth it and so nice to stay in house and experience the hotel. The food and service could not be faulted. The outdoor verandah seating was lovely. Also had a fantastic breakfast the following morning. Fantastic ! Would definitely return and hope to visit other Spicers Retreats for that touch of luxury.

This is honestly one of the bet b boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. It personable like a smaller hotel but caters to your every need in a big way and that really surprised me. Before my stay I received an email from Claudia welcoming me and asking if I had any special requests. I needed to leave extra early on my day of check out but was wondering if I could still have breakfast, and they were kind enough to allow me to preorder and it was ready bang on 6:30am so I could eat and run to the airport. The quality of everything took me aback, from the toiletries in the beautifully and intelligently furnished suite I booked to the food in the restaurant which was out of this world. If I ever go back to Brisbane this is where I'll stay.
