If you want somewhere to retreat to and don't want to travel too far, you can't go passed the Balfour! We had a fabulous time celebrating our anniversary! Can't fault the service, the food and the atmosphere! It's a hidden treasure!

A little pearl in Melbourne. Nice and warm stay, excellent food at dinner and breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful: we stayed for 2 nights but in different days: they kept luggages for free and when we returned they were already in the room with a welcome back letter on the bed. All what you expect by a little and beautiful hotel was there! Reccomanded!

We had an excellent dining experience and service. The menu was very creative and the food was beautiful and very well presented. The dining staff were very knowledgeable and made us very welcome. Roof top bar was great location for a pre and post dinner drink.

After being greeted by smiling staff, we were shown around the property and also our room. A quick visit to the rooftop bar and you could spend the whole afternoon and night up here. A short walk to the bridge, James St and the Valley, this really is a great location. Breakfast was incredible. Staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Spicers Balfour is located in hip, happening New Farm, which is a short drive (or fairly long walk) into the CBD area. The staff are so lovely and professional - they even valet park for you if there are no spots in the carpark. We booked a King room for my birthday weekend, and it came with a really generous a la carte breakfast in the restaurant the next morning, including a fruit platter. The honesty bar upstairs has a great view over the city and there is a fantastic French patisserie just around the corner from this hotel. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a personalised boutique hotel experience.

The Balfour is a lovely boutique hotel nestled in a historic neighborhood. The service is excellent and very helpful. The Art Deco rooms are really lovely and the food is very good. I would recommend this hotel to any discerning traveler.

A quick overnight stay at Spicers Balfour. You can easily walk to the city from this location. The staff are very lovely and helpful. The inhouse restaurant is highly recommended for dinner and breakfast. The rooms are spacious.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it was amazing. Beautiful hotel, fabulous breakfast, huge luxurious bedroom and happy, friendly staff- especially Claudia, who could not have been more helpful. Gorgeous rooftop bar which had an 'honesty' policy. Great location which was really quiet but only a couple of minutes away from lovely bars and restaurants. Not a long walk from the centre of Brisbane. Loved Brisbane and would stay here if we go again.

Had one night here - a different place to stay set with a mainly residential area - pretty cool with the rooftop honesty bar! easy walk to the river... Restaurant food was tip top and the service proved excellent - had a few minor challenges that were resolved over and above expectations. Will definatly be going back

This is our second stay at Spicers Balfour. We love the ambience of this boutique hotel. The staff are professional and attentive. From the warm welcome on arrival through to our checkout, there is nothing we could fault. The room was beautiful, pillows and mattress very comfortable, amenities were great, love the rooftop bar, and the restaurant food is terrific.
