Upon arrival the valet greets you and arranges your luggage to be taken to your room as you check in. Check in is very smooth and you take the lift to your allocated floor. This is where the 5 star feeling falls away. We were given a room on the 9th floor, exiting the lift the decor feels old and tired. The keycard allows entry to the room, just a standard room with a king size bed. There is a flat screen tv (probably from the 90’s) which has an image of “in room movies” burned into the screen. There are two bathrobes hanging in the wardrobe and two spare hangers! The mini bar has a selection of soft drinks and beers, along with a bottle of wine and two bottles of water, plus some confectionary. Booking a room for two adults and a child, we had to request the rollaway bed, which was promptly delivered. Our view was over Looking a nearby park but the windows were not very clean. The heavy doors meant every time a neighbor closed/ slammed their door, you heard it. Even heard conversations of people walking past our door. The bathroom had two wash basins and a selection of the usual toiletries. Although the shower was an over bath type which I didn’t expect from a 5 star hotel. The plumbing was such that every time the neighboring guests flushed their toilet the pipes would let you know! On checkin we were told that if we wanted to use the pool one of the valet would take us as it’s two blocks away. The website advertised the rooftop pool, this was closed for refurbishment but still advertised on the hotel website. Express checkout was a breeze and the car was ready when required, just outside the hotel. The highs were the valet parking and the enthusiasm and politeness of the staff. $45 Per day to park your car may sound expensive and it is, but it’s the best rate you’ll get in the city if your coming / going with the car each day. If you’re not going to be using the car over the weekend there is overnight parking on Friday & Saturday for $5 just across from the hotel, just get the car out by 4:30 pm on the Sunday. There is also free street parking close by over the weekend. The hotel is undergoing much needed renovations so your chosen room may not be available, check before arrival to ensure you aren’t disappointed. If you want 5 star, then maybe get a premium room or just take the standard room and have a 3 1/2 star room. Location is great for shopping and public transport is only a few steps away, if required.

Our stay was good but only by default. Pullman keep changing rules about what we were to get with Accor membership. Last visit (at linked Mecure)only a few weeks ago we got access to an executive lounge. Checked before current visit and told our room classification we intended to book would be given access again. When we checked in this was incorrect information but they gave us access as a curtesy. Neither visit we were given our accor complimentry upgrade that our silver membership generally achieves us in other accor hotels. Two years ago we were up graded to 1 bed apartment from same room classification. Dissapointed with confusion and alignment with Accor (also with what percent we were entitled to in restaurant). Hence overall three rating But they gifted lovely anniversary wine and chocolates.

Excellent hotel. Professional, efficient, helpful staff. Good standard executive rooms. Executive lounge with 2 hours of complimentary food and drink. Valet parking. Rooftop bar. Good food. Highly recommended.

Fabulous service from the moment we arrived from the Valet parking to the Front of House Staff. The Pullman team were friendly, inviting and most helpful,to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. The room was clean and generous in size . I would highly recommend this Hotel and would certainly stay there again.

This place is fantastic! I especially love the way they have a church that meets on a regular basis in one of the conference rooms. Outstanding hotel that has a friendly culture about it. Full marks!!

I stayed here during a business trip, for two nights recently. Overall it was a positive experience and I have rated it 4/5. I had some issues with Check In and Check Out, and think that the bathrooms need to be updated, so they fit better with the quality of the rooms. Other than the front desk, I found all other staff to be helpful, efficient and friendly. Fresh fruit and sparkling water we’re waiting for me, in the room each day - which was greatly appreciated. Aspects of the Pullman felt really luxurious, and I did enjoy staying here. 5 Stars to the Customer Services Manager, who followed me up directly about a review I did at the request of the hotel. The personalised response actually made a positive impact on me and has influenced this review on trip advisor. Well done Pullman. I’ll be back.

Our stay was booked by our daughter....Check-in was very efficient, loved the check-in desk and foyer, giving plenty of space for travellers with a waiting lounge... *** A concierge service offered fast and efficient parking due to limited car parking... *** An adjoining cafe was handy for a coffee while waiting for room availability. *** Our room < Executive > choosing the twin double beds combination was superb.. ( tho the 2 large armchairs did encroach on space somewhat) * complimentary ( 1 ) bottle water and pieces of fruit on offer in the room...However it wasn't made clear (usually hotels will provide a card stating 'complimentary' with and under any inclusions)..... # WiFi .....We did see a charge of $10 > 24hrs.on their web site, .But didn't Enquire further... For a 5***** hotel, was shocked NOT to see Free WiFi offered. Don't know if the Executive Lounge offered free WiFi.. ***. A Nespresso coffee machine for use, but limited coffee pods + strength choices. *** Bathroom amenities were clean and spacious... *However, shower was combined with the bath, so if that poses a problem, you may want to Enquire for a room with seperate combinations, *** We absolutley enjoyed the evening ( 5.30- 7.30pm) inclusion of 'canapés and assorted beverages > sparkling, still wine, beers in the Executive Lounge. The staff were genuinely friendly and very accomodating..(the canapés selection was exceptional.) # HOWEVER if you have children who may not be old enough to enjoy the savoury selection of smk salmon, prochutto, cheese board, sushi, meatballs, ect, you may . . need to Enquire Pre-booking if their needs could be met .... *** BREAKFAST ....We took the option and room inclusion of the breakfast in the Executive Lounge (rather than the buffet alternative in the restaurant) # A choice of (2) hot dishes, a la Carte and made to order..Hubby and I chose an Eggs Benadict each ...( photo added..). with the inclusion of a small buffet of cereals, fruit, juices..pastries. My perfect cup of coffee (fw) was made to order and also an inclusion..( enquire about hot chocolate or chai favourites ) # RING AHEAD TO CONCIERGE DESK the time you are departing and before leaving your room to have your car brought to foyer, as it can be quite a congested time of day and alleviate wait time...

When: Monday 19 March 2018 Why: Conference attendance at Pullman Hotel Pros: The hotel was attached to the conference venue. Valet parking, and centrally located in Brisbane. The hotel has a good reputation so I expected top notch quality. The room was large. Plenty of power outlets near the desk and bedside. Cons: I was very disappointed in this hotel. I had to request an ironing board, despite there being an iron in the room, and it took housekeeping nearly 2 hours to bring the iron to my room. I asked at the front desk, then an hour and a half later rang housekeeping, no answer and then rang front desk again. The ironing board that was delivered only had three rubber feet and rocked when trying to iron. There was a power outlet I plugged the iron into that came away from the wall when I took the plug out and exposed the wires behind the outlet. (I did inform the front desk of this safety issue) The room has to be one of the most portly lit rooms I have ever stayed in. There was no lighting over or near the desk, so if you were not working on a backlit laptop or similar you were in the dark. The shower (in a bathtub) would not retain the water and water would run off the shower screen (despite turning the shower head towards the wall) and into the bathroom area causing a mass of water to stand into when getting out of the shower. The fan in the bathroom might have well been non existent because the mirror was totally fogged up after the shower. There was only one flimsy bed side lamp, a clock radio that was set to a totally incorrect time, but I suppose that might have been because of an expected power outage on 5th and 6th March. I know this because there was a letter in the room informing me of that fact. The problem being this letter was still in the room on the 19th of March. Tip/Comment: I was very disappointed with this stay. For the cost and reputation of this hotel, the room was below par for the expectations set. I was looking forward to this stay, but would now consider trying another hotel based on this experience.

Excellent and helpful staff and great location BUT a few things I did not like. I put in a request for a quiet room...our first room overlooked a spagetti of motorway with heavy traffic and the double glazing was not adequate to address this. We moved across the hallway and there were two skycraper constructions covered in blue tarp..pluss the bells of the church chiming all day..thankfully not at night. The thing I found most annoying was having to pay per day for comlimentary bottles of water, mean amount of coffee and tea, and the mini bar prices and inhouse dining etc...just over the top expensive. I also asked to extend a night for my own convenience, but when put though to the inhouse booking in the hotel, was quoted more to extend ( without breakfast) than the internet price. I didn't get we would only have needed fresh towels and no need to room service the room.

What a devastating experience. Suitcases were requested to be moved to the Mecure from the Pullman at 8.30 am after booking out of the Pullman and booking into the Mecure. 5.30 pm my husband went down stairs to reception (as I was otherwise occupied at meetings) and requested that our suitcases be delivered to our room as we had a dinner appointment and required a shower prior to the dinner. On my return to the room at 6.30pm the suitcases STILL had not been delivered to our room. I approached reception and informed them that I was not happy and we required our suitcases immediately as we had prior commitments with dinner. The suitcases did arrive however ruined the night for both my husband and myself. I don't feel this was an unfair or unreasonable request. Unfortunately I will not be returning to the Pullman or the Mecure and have booked into another hotel in Brisbane for two nights in a fortnights time. A more detailed review has been done under Graham Jarvis, my apologies as I believed when writing that review I was using my profile. Very disappointing after all the efforts made to make me feel so welcome by the Customer Relations Manager. Sorry Alex.
