This was our third stay with Mantra South Bank. It’s location is ideal for attending performances at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. The breakfast was excellent. There are numerous restaurants clese to the hotel. South Brisbane train station is only a short walk away for travel into the city or the airport.
We stayed for one night at Mantra South Bank. Hotel located right in the heart of South Bank so location is excellent. Arrived early and the room was ready. We were also upgraded to a city view room and received complimentary drinks as a Mantra Plus member. We always stay in South Bank when visiting Brisbane and would definitely stay in this hotel again in the future.
Our room was very comfortable and quiet . The bathroom products were very nice . Breakfast was delicious with great coffee from the bar. the staff were very friendly and helpful . location to Southbank and city was good with lovely walk ways . Definitely worth the stay .
Little disappointed in how your expected to pull up on kerbside on Grey street,a extremely busy street,so a valet can park your car,so it's safe for overnite parking. Also, when I asked bout Wi-fi,I was told it was free tho you had to be in a club, though she was too busy talking to her co-worker,so she would do it another time😳
Stayed recently at the Mantra Southbank Brisbane. Great location, great service on entry at reception. Very helpful and accommodating. Nice room on the 6th floor which was very clean, large with king size bed over looking the railway track but thats what I paid for so that is fare. Finished off the night at the bar on the ground floor which was up and down depending on which staff served you. The buffet breakfast included the next morning was plentiful and filling. Valet parking was great just have to remember you pay extra for parking! All round good value for money.
The Hotel is in a excellent location at Southbank and our room was spacious. The service from reception staff and bar staff was very good but I cannot comment on the food as we did not eat in the hotel. My only complaint was the lack of a car parking space out front which resulted in me having to drive around the block while my wife checked in. Fortunately one of the two or three spaces opened up and I was able to park and unload the car. The only “long term” parking on site is valet at $35 per night but this is fairly standard for the area.
We stayed here in an apartment for 4 nights last month. It is in an excellent location for public transport, sight seeing and shopping. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was nice. Our apartment was spacious and well equipped but tired looking and in need of a deep clean. On arrival the sunshine was streaming in showing the glass wardrobe doors and the kitchen cupboard doors just covered in finger-marks. When we pulled the sun curtains they were grubby looking and stained with what looked like splashes of red wine. The bed thankfully was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
The apartment is spacious and nicely laid out for long stays. The bathroom probably need updating or redesign. Just not so pleasant to use, the bathroom screen does not stop the water from splashing out onto the bathroom floor. I think it better to have proper shower booth instead of a bath/shower. The bathtub is too narrow to take a bath and shower is awkward.
Standard room offering here, won’t disappoint but also won’t blow your mind. Handy location for South Bank eateries and river is only a few 100 metres away. Frustrating that you are expected to pay for WiFi for the room price tag. You can get it free if you join their program, but it is clunky and time consuming and I haven up on it.
Perfect for my stay. Great location in walking distance to plenty of restaurants (that are actually open on a Monday and Tuesday) and very spacious room. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to to my clients, family and friends.
