Arrived and had to call the hotel to have someone attend reception, enquired about parking to be told the new owners have not renewed parking arrangements with Metro Parking Station. Stayed in room 19 on level 3, room was boiling hot and dirty. Went to my meeting leaving aircon on 18 (in the middle of winter?) to no avail returned and room was still hot. No one to be found at reception to advise of room temperature. Very laxed security with reception unattended most times I went and returned. Room had door which did not appear to close properly, no security lock / chain, carpet had white stains on under the TV (See photos). TV has no digital channels (not a big issue but clicking through several non working channels is annoying) Room was overly dirty and untidy. No minibar anymore and to be honest this hotel needs a lot of work to return to its former glory. I wont be back
An overnight stay close to a medical facility was required. We selected this hotel because of the price and locality. We arrived early, closer to 11.30am than the book in time of 2pm. The gorgeous girl on reception was so lovely and said there was a room ready for us. The room was exactly as photographed. Beautiful white linen and towels ...and a washcloth. So many don't supply these and it was a lovely surprise. As for the coffee machine...thank you ! Eateries aplenty are nearby. Thank you Limes. We will be back.
We stayed on the occasion of my Husbands Birthday. The room was clean, a great location surrounded by lots of fun venues. There was no noise, which I have heard of in other reviews. The staff were polite and friendly when we checked in and out. The layout was nice with a small courtyard attached with a hammock and featured a stacked stone tile finish. There was a tile missing and the pieces on the ground. We then noticed in the bathroom the next day that the exhaust fan was partially falling out of the ceiling, and one of the lights blown. There were also 4 marks on the wall from a fitting from next door. My Husband also found a pair of mens underwear screwed up in the top of the wardrobe.All of these things could be easily fixed. I wonder why they don't? Also 2 lovely knitted robes provided, but no sashes to hold them closed. No parking on-site also adds to the cost.
My husband and I both advised reception on multiple times throughout the day that we have no hot water in the bathroom. After being told on the last night of our stay that if it was still like that we would be able to move to another room; we returned that night to find out that it is still cold and there were no other available rooms. We were required to pay in full upon check-in and not once have we been offered any kind of refund or compensation. In this case, a simple apology does not excuse the fact that we have had to have cold showers for the last two days. I do not feel as though this issue has been handled very well and am surprised we have not been offered at least a partial refund as it is unacceptable to charge the full room rate when the basic requirements of a room are not adequate. I emailed these comments to the hotel; as well as bringing it up with reception when we checked out who said they would speak to management and get back to me. That was nearly two weeks ago and have not heard a thing... it is extremely unprofessional; they definitely need to work on their customer service.
I stayed at the limes hotel on Thursday night 26/04/2018. Therw was no loud music like the other reviews. Reason for travel was business, however, it was booked under a personal account. I took into consideration that Google and TripAdvisor had it rated 4 stars, so I thought for the $150 a night I paid it was not to bad. The location was great and central to everything I needed. Parking was great as the valley metro car park is only up to the road maybe 200m. They offered a $15 overnight car park as I was staying in the hotel. Upon arriving I was meet with a bright bubbly young lady. She was pleasant to deal with. Explained that the pizza next door were great and to try the mushroom one. This was a very nice start to the stay. Unfortunately, this was actually the best part... I make my way to the room as I get to the elevator I bear it telling me it's not working, however, still worked. It was poorly lit (don't know if they were going for a mood lighting feel). I get to the third floor and step out into a dark and hot corridor. Felt like there had been no windows or fresh airflow for at least a few weeks. There was an air-conditioner in there, just not turned on. I get into my room, the first impression was it was good. I see a Nespresso pod machine with authentic pods. I get excited, turn it on and start to unpack and look around. The air-conditioner was already on, this was a nice touch. I hang my clothes and find all the normal accessories such as iron, ironing board and safe. I have a look at the balcony as was mentioned on the website. This might as well not be here. It's very small and looks straight at another building. Not a great view at all. I come back inside, check the coffee machine and it's still warming up (been about 5 minutes). So I continue to the bathroom. I check and I would say it was average. So let's list the things wrong with this room first. - Light hanging out of the ceiling - Tissue box showing and ripped (yes small but in a "4-star" hotel this is not ok) - Water damage to bottom of the door - Toilet paper very poor quality - No plug for the sink to shave in the sink. - And potentially worst of all. The supplied toiletries had the anti-tamper seals broken already. This is a massive issue. Now, I make my way back to the main area and coffee machine is still heating up. I decided to make myself an espresso anyway. And yep, the machine was not working correctly. It was lukewarm at best. I check the fridge next for some milk to make myself a tea instead, then I see no water jug available. Who doesn't have water jugs these days? The plus side, there was a good amount of milk and it was fresh milk. I decide to take a walk around the block to find out where things were. Upon my arrival back at my room, I hear a dripping noise. I see it's coming from the aircon. I also notice now that there is extensive water damage. This had been dripping for so long that it caused damage. The carpet also shows discolouration Now, what "4-star" hotel let's that happen? I'll answer that for you, they don't! Now I know that this may have been a nice hotel once, it's still got potential but FFS spend some money! I definitely will not be coming back at all.
Arrived to find some lights not working in the room then no hot water when we had a shower and then card key not working when we got back later in the night..The Hotel is run down and in need of a serious renovation.Noisy and unprofessional young staff. Would not recommend this place to any one who is visiting Brisbane!!
It’s a real shame, but I was pretty disappointed with this hotel. Whilst the pics online looked good, the reality was far less... The positive:) comfy bed, and generally a good location and clean room. The little spas upstairs are kinda cool, but the surrounding decor is looking tired and tacky. The not so good :( The whole Place needs a facelift (paint is all warn on the hallways, tiles cracked in the lift, no art in the rooms, old TVs and no in room dining or mini bar. I think this is because they are under administration... additionally they didn’t make up my room... If u just want a cheap & clean room, then maybe this is the place for you, but if you want more of an experience, I’d try somewhere else...
The place was quaint and clean but the wifi kept going in and out. It was to me overpriced and not at all what I thought. The location was near a few places to eat and bars. The staff were extremely helpful. My room key kept getting demagnetized and that is the one thing that upset me.
Stayed one night in the hotel. Rooms are quite compact but fine as a base and for a short period. Has everything that you may need. Upon checking into the room, room had not been made up, however, upon contacting reception they arranged for the room to be sorted straight away. We went to one of the nearby pubs for a drink while this was done. Convenient location to the train station, so easy to get to. Would we stay here again ? I don't see any reason why not.
Nice clean rooms and friendly, courteous staff On the down side, no room service, no gym or pool and no onsite parking so not suited really to busy business trip. Connected restaurant was ok but avoid the “rib eye” which was a tiny thin sizzle steak for $30+ Would better suit people wanting to party, plenty of night-life ( read strip clubs) and bars everywhere including on the roof
