Great staff, great room - old but comfortable and kitted out wit all amenities . Secure parking at $10.00 a day!!!! Downstairs in court yard are a variety of bars and restaurants. Easy to get anywhere from this venue. We intend to make this our regular stopover place when in Brisbane.
We chose here based primarily on location price and other reviews. There is evidence of it needing an update e.g. the epoxy on the floor tiles had rubbed off in many places, toilet roll holder was broken, no separate aircon in the bedroom so you'll need to leave the door open and only ONE tea bag; one?. Otherwise, it was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We'd stay again for the location and price.
Stayed overnight on a Thursday night. Was sure the booking was for a room with a balcony but the room allocated did not have one, only a window. Did not attempt to have this rectified. The unit was spacious with full kitchen and loft bedroom, which was a more unique feature. No air conditioning in the bedroom but a fan was provided. It would get quite hot up there in the middle of summer. Decor looked quite tired but everything was functional. Good water pressure in the shower and the the water was exceptionally hot. Overall cleanliness was good however the top of washing machine needed a good clean / dusting. Free wifi with acceptable speed. A bit of noise from the outside travelled in but the location is excellent with all the delights of Fortitude Valley at one's fingertips.
Central Brunswick provides clean, affordable apartments in Fortitude Valley. Our apartment had a separate bedroom and a small but well equipped kitchen. The room had a comfortable bed, nice towels and toiletries. The Apartment block has parking available and is surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Many of the local attractions are within easy walking distance. We were on level 6 and had a pleasant city outlook. Great for a weekend away in the city.
All the food you desire downstairs in the concourse. Italian, Thai, French its a plethora of food. It is a lovely place to stay safe, secure and friendly. This is my 3rd stay due to hospital appointments and operations so Hubby can just bring food straight too me. You have to live that
No hesitation in returning to this excellent little hotel. Even more improved . Welcoming and professional staff happy to provide all you need. Room clean and simple but comfortable. Loved my bedroom loft. Convenient to city and south bank by quick and frequent bus . Check out the art galleries and nearby James street shopping. Variety of interesting restaurants . This is an area that is going places and this is a super place to explore it from .Thank you Central Brunswick.
Massive room with a very cumfy bed in a good location, close to the city and near the train line. Staff helpful, good shower, big tv with remote, toaster and kettle very appreciated. For the most part, a very good hotel. Slight negative - sound quality not the best, people outside woke both myself and partner up. Otherwise a good stay for the $$$$ and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Booking over the phone was easy and she gave me a cheaper price upon request. Easy to find and a super convenient location for socialising. Restaurants everywhere down stairs and easy walking distance to The Brunny Hotel. We stayed in room 401 (the #1 rooms are next to the lift but we were lucky it was a quiet night). The rooms are basic and nothing flash, but roomy enough and everything worked. The bathroom wasn't in great shape, but we were happy enough to deal with that given the price/location etc. The $10 parking was a big winner for us. Each room has a designated car park - which is great - but it's NEXT to the hotel, so you do need to unpack in the loading zone and then go park your car. Not a big deal if there are 2 of you. We had our baby with us and brought our own bed for him. The bedroom had enough room for his cot, and the bathroom was off the living area so it meant we could use it all the time without worrying about waking him going into an ensuite bathroom off the bedroom. This place would be perfect for singles and couples, but was fine for a quick one nighter with our baby. Had we had our toddler with us, too, the location wouldn't have been so great due to a lack of parks etc within easy walking distance (I think). We'll be back again purely for convenience of location and the great price. Don't book here if you're looking for really nice accomodation - it's budget.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Lovely and clean has lifts to all floors. If i had to have one criticism would be the blinds in the bedroom. The blinds were built into the windows, which allows the light around the edge to flow through. (I like dark bedrooms) When checking out, i asked the receptionist if there were other rooms which had heavy curtains and she said, yes, there are. Other than that...the tv in the bedroom was great...nice and cosy. So next stayover i will be asking for a different room with curtains. Haha Below the rooms there were quite a few restaurants, which we tried. Great food! There aslo was a chemist, bakery, convenient store. It was VERY convenient to Fortitude Valley railway station, city bus stop, Brunswick Mall and Chinatown only 2 blocks away and the Brisbane showgrounds 20 minute walk. We'll be back!
Comfortable room and great value for money, separate living area and laundry included in room was handy. Close to local amenities and Chinatown Entry was a little tricky to find upon arrival otherwise all good.
