This location is magical. It is nestled between the Queen Charlotte track and Outward Bound. It was quiet for us since it was the off-season, but the property is a wonderful testament to the work and care that Tanya and Shane have put into it. You will need to check out the photo album showing all the changes they have made. A HUGE bonus was the coffee machine in the kitchen. I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to visit their place and the surroundings in the summer!

Hosts were very helpful and welcoming. Removing recycling and trash after a few days and providing iron etc when needed.
Swam from the long wharf every day.
Outdoor meals, very enjoyable.

Beautiful little apartment in Anikiwa

We loved the outdoor space, location near the Queen Charlotte Track and the snooker table! It was our first time playing snooker. There is room to spread out, but the bedrooms were tight. Unfortunately, there were no outlets in the bathroom. Not a big thing, but something we noticed and were aware of. We appreciated that they were environmentally aware and made it easy for us to participate. We would return in a heartbeat!

We had a wonderful time at 401. The hosts were lovely, helpful and friendly. The location is magical, right by the Queen Charlotte track and right next door to Outward Bound.

Just Lovely

Shayne and Tanya are superb hosts who were friendly but not invasive. They made a point of letting us know about what was going on in the community and what was on offer. As a result we got to join community carol singing and even experienced the bioluminescence in the water. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and well resourced. The gardens are delightful and it is just a few steps to the jetty and the beginning of the Queen Charlotte. We got to balance activity and just lolling about in comfort. We so recommend this accommodation and will definately try to stay there again.

Wonderful location!!

We had a fabulous stay at Anakiwa 401. Shayne and Tanya are great hosts who have created a beautiful and restful place to stay. Right on the Sound to enjoy Kayaking, walking and enjoying nature. Highly recommend!!

Thanks Shane and Tanya for making our stay memorable. Comfortable and clean with array of activities like kayaking, paddleboard available. Highlight was the water-skiing lesson with Shane. our older daughter doing her first ever water start.

Relaxing

Tanya and Shane provided a lovely, comfortable place to stay in a perfect location in which to enjoy the Sounds. Kayaking, water skiing, walks and the beautiful scenery. We will be back.

This is a great place with great hosts. They have provided everything you need...even a pool table and an excellent espresso machine! The property is private, comfortable and charming. They are around if you need anything but never in the way. The area is beautiful with direct access to the water for swimming, kayaking etc and the Queen Charlotte track for walking/running/biking. We had a ball. Thanks so much Tanya and Shayne for hosting us.

Slice of heaven

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is so beautiful, has an amazing garden and the location is absolutely perfect for exploring the beautiful area. Tanya and Shayne are such great hosts - helpful, friendly and just all round good people. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property.
