The Hotel Salem

Great hotel and great location! Would definitely stay there again. Only issues were off site parking (available but at guest’s expense), difficult to use tv (no guide for local channels), and no shelves or hand rails in the shower. Enjoyed the roof top bar and dining - beautiful view! Wish the restaurant near the lobby had been open while we were there, but it is only open certain days of the week.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It’s cleanly and modern and the staff are incredibly helpful. It’s located right in the pedestrian walking zone of Salem and close to all of the attractions. It was quiet at night and overall we had a wonderful experience would recommend.

It is in a great location. Walk out the front door right in the middle of all the shops and attractions. It is such a fun place to explore and visit. We plan to visit again to explore more of the waterfront area. The only thing that was a little odd in the hotel room was the bathroom set up. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

The staff at The Hotel Salem are so friendly and helpful. If you want to be right in the middle of Essex Street, this is the spot. The room was very comfortable and clean. Plus you have two great eating spots right on property, The Counter and The Roof. Nothing beats the views from the roof and the food and drinks are delicious. Only drawback is that parking is a bit of a walk because you are staying is a historic part of town. My favorite place to stay in Salem.

The micro king is little, but cozy. No real room to sit other than the bed. Fun if you’re ok w that. Lots of restaurants and fun shops in area. Close to Peabody Essex. Parking ain’t expensive and is pretty close to hitel

The room smelled of smoke and must. The restaurant/bar is above rooms on the third floor. From 10:15 to 10:45 at night the ceiling literally shook from what sounded like furniture being moved in the restaurant. At 3am drunk people were yelling in the hallway outside our room. The bathroom door is on a slider that did not function making it impossible to get privacy in the toilet. Finally the bathroom did not have a garbage can. We felt badly overcharged.
