Excellent Communication from Host

We saw that snow was in the forecast so we booked this last-minute trip. The host, not knowing that we were looking for snow, called us immediately after we booked it, and asked us if we knew there was a storm coming. When we told him that we did, he helped us get all of the preparations in order to have an awesome and safe weekend and was very attentive throughout the weekend! The cabin was plenty big enough for our large group and the teenagers and kids loved the extra lounging and game space. The hot tub is large and very clean and nice, we enjoyed sitting in it while it snowed. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The porch and view was so pleasant- we sat on it and watched the snow fall while we drank hot chocolate. We enjoyed family games in the living room while we sat around the fireplace. Awesome weekend! Two bits to know before you go- the driveway is steep, and pack extra beach towels for the hot tub if you have a large group like us!

Great House!

The house was very spacious and nice. The kids had plenty of things to do to stay entertained. The driveway is steep so keep that in mind. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware. The owner was responsive and helpful. We had a great time and would stay here again.

The VIEW!!!

Omg y’all, this property is breath taking! The rooms are spacious, the game room is amazing!! The owner was so helpful and quick to respond with any questions or issues! The only thing I think I wish I knew was just how STEEP the drive up and driveway was, there are a lot of sharp turns so be careful driving. BUT that is literally the only issue my guests and I had, which is literally just mountain life! 10/10 would def stay again!

Family Celebration - 21st Birthday

The open kitchen, family room and porch were where we spent the most time celebrating our newest family adult. We are a family that loves to cook together so the gas stove top and large counter space was perfect for all the home made pasta, cakes, and other dishes we enjoyed as part of our celebration.

Beautiful!

14 of us ranging in age from 2-44 enjoyed this beautiful house. The kids played downstairs with all the games while the adults relaxed upstairs and out on the porch. There's a trail behind the house that you can hike up. The house isn't far (about 10 minutes) from fun things to do such as Tweetsie. I will be honest, the driveway did freak me out when I first saw it (we live at the coast, so not use to it) but made it up without a problem. The homeowner was also super nice and provided us with all the info we needed. We all would definitely stay at this place again.

Amazing

The property was absolutely amazing. The kids stayed in the gaming areas pretty much the whole time and had so much fun. The location was really convenient and fairly close to restaurants and stores. The pictures on the listing were great but they really don’t do justice to how great the place really is. My daughters birthday trip turned out great and I’m so grateful to have found this place!

Amazing Cabin with gorgeous views!!

This cabin has it all! The cabin was not only beautiful, clean and spacious but has gorgeous views! The cabin has all the amenities for all ages to enjoy, from the game room with a ping pong table, air hockey, basketball net, pool table, hot tub, board games books etc. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, blender, slow cooker, etc. Bedrooms were spacious and had comfortable mattresses. We did have a little trouble getting up the driveway with my 2wheel Drive Honda Pilot, however as instructed by the owner used the turnaround and came up the back driveway which we were able to get up. If you have AWD would probably be fine. Communication with the owner was top notch! This cabin has it all!! My family will definitely be back for another visit!

Amazing! Will be back!

Extremely clean! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great communication with owner! It snowed while we were there and he made sure we had everything we needed (salt, shovels, etc). We loved the game room and hot tub! Beautiful views without the 20 minute trip up the mountain. Can’t say enough good things! Best cabin we have ever stayed in! We will be back next winter!!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway!

The property was fantastic! The views are amazing from the panoramic deck and super private. Definitely need an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the steep gravel driveway, but it was easily done with our two small AWD SUVs. Inside you are greeted with an open floor plan with plenty of seating, a giant table with bench seats, and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need! All the bedrooms are a decent size with the master being well oversized - plenty of room to add a blow-up mattress on the floor with walking room to spare. The kids loved the bunk room. Downstairs is where the fun is at -- the well equipped game room with a pool table, air hockey table, foosball, a basket arcade shooter, and more. Then just outside is the hottub with a great panoramic view of the area. We even saw multiple deer everyday right from the deck! Overall, I highly recommend this property - it has a great location to Boone and surrounding area but with the privacy and quiet you wish for in a mountain retreat.

Climbing a mountain for a weekend.

Overall this house is a great place to have multiple people stay in. It was very clean when we arrived and the check in process was pretty easy. The VRBO listing stated you could check in at three but the property manager said it wasn’t until four and wasn’t sure if we could get in at three like the listing stated. When they say four wheeled Drive is not needed but recommended is a complete lie. Multiple guest of mine had SUVs with front wheel drive cannot even make it up 5 feet of the washed out driveway. I think it Has to be a qualification for you to be able to rent this place that you have four-wheel-drive. The other item of this rental I found weird was that they would not stock you extra supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. They told us they only supply one of each per bathroom/kitchen and if we needed more we could go to the store and buy them. In my opinion a house that holds 11 people need more than one trash bag for their stay. In my opinion supplying the guest with more than one of each of these items would help them flip over the property quicker send the guests would be able to clean up more before they left. Otherwise I suggest this place as a great mountain adventure that you might have to either walk up to or stay up there for your whole stay.

Memorial Weekend Getaway

Great long weekend getaway. Cabin was exactly as described, well equipped kitchen and clean rooms. We had a few ants but property management was quick to respond and address. Great views too! Highly recommend a 4x4 - as the gravel pathway to the property has a pretty high climb. Turning on the 2nd turn (after the road with the address) worked better for us to get up and down as there were huge divets in the road where my MDX kept getting stuck.

Unbeatable Views

Do not use gps to find this property!! Very steep hill (I was glad to have 4x4 but it wasn’t 100% necessary) but the drive up is well worth the view. The top oven would not work, but the bottom one did. The kitchen was not stocked with items like cooking spray, oil so bring your own if you plan to cook. The game area was a huge hit! Enjoy your stay at this beautiful property.

Beautiful and Clean Cabin!

This cabin was amazing! We were able to cook in the huge kitchen, small toiletries were provided (much appreciated), and the kids played with the games in the basement almost the whole time! The adults enjoyed the hot tub and the open living area. AND THE VIEW! Our friends got engaged while we were there, he decorated the front porch with candles and rose petals, she said yes! This was a great place to stay!

Great home! Beautiful views!

I think this is a great house for a family. The kids had plenty to do and the view is amazing. It seems the house could use a good cleaning. I had to clean crumbs off the kitchen table at checkin, lots of dust and several insects (ladybugs, daddy long legs and even one black widow spider).

Great experience!

Very happy with our stay. Disappointed in the hot tub not working while we were there. Would recommend letting renters to drive up second driveway, especially during winter. Overall happy with stay.

New Years in the mountains

Spacious, beautiful Mountain View’s Great experience for family. Space met our needs. Bunk beds were a nice touch upstairs but a full size bed would have better met our needs. Great activities for everyone! Kitchen was adequately equipped however had limitations due to small oven.
