Great place and accommodating owner. Beautiful island and great facilities! Highly recommend. Only issue that needs attention was that master bedroom sheet had a “threadbare” spot and all sheets were washed in a detergent that was “perfumed”. Minor issues but worth noting.

The golf courses, grounds, fitness facilities and club facilities were all excellent. The island is beautiful and we found the staff to be very welcoming. The house, however, was not as expected for a private, country club neighborhood. We contacted the hosts 24 hours in to our stay with concerns, including numerous stained carpets and furniture, missing outlet covers, inoperable water and ice in the refrigerator, broken dishwasher rack and door, inoperable windows throughout the unit (host indicated upon check-in that none could be opened) and offtrack and inoperable doors in the laundry area. Several days passed before the hosts responded, and no resolution occurred to any of these issues (despite multiple messages). We would love to spend more time on this island, but would not return to this house in its current condition.
Accordion doors are completely off the track and inoperable in the laundry area.
Upstairs bedroom had multiple spots of stained carpet.

Holiday stay

We had a great time ringing in the new year. The golf was great, the home comfortable and the location was perfect for time spent in Savannah, Beaufort, Hilton Head, and Bluffton. All was enjoyed more with being able to bring our 2 pups along.

Callawassie Stay

House was wonderful, comfortable and had everything you need. Beds were very comfortable. Location was good and convenient to clubhouse. We always enjoy Callawassie it’s a hidden gem. Hosts were very easy to work with and neighbors are very welcoming.

Destination Thanksgiving

Since our oldest of 4 started college, we began doing desination Thanksgivings where we would all meet in a new city/state to be together. We love the Charleston area and decided to venture just outside. Okatie did not disappoiont with it's proximity to Bluffton and Hilton Head. Home was perfect for us to celebrate the holiday. We enjoyed the golf and pickleball amenities as well as the onsite restaurant when we did not feel like cooking the day after Thanksgiving. The kitchen was a bit tight for such a large meal prep but nonetheless we had a great time.

Wedding family stay

Granddaughter was getting married on Callawassie the house was perfect for part of my family! Loved sitting out on the screened porch and relaxing before and after all the functions! It was spotless, so roomy, and well stocked with cleaning supplies! Douglas was so helpful and easy to communicate with, he made you feel like you’ve known them all your life!

An amazing family vacation in an amazing location!!

The villa was great and provided our family plenty of room and access to amazing amenities on Callawassie Island! The villa had everything you would need, full kitchen amenities, towels and linens made vacation prepping easy. Two pools, pickle ball, tennis, kayaking, and an amazing golf course! We were close to numerous parts of the low country, Parris Island, Beaufort and Hilton Head. Simply put…you can’t go wrong staying here for vacation!!

Wonderful stay on a beautiful coastal island

Great location and rooms were wonderful all with adjoining restrooms. We loved sitting on the back screened in porch during brief rainfalls and watching for beautiful birds and wildlife.

Lovely home in a beautiful setting

Wonderful home~perfect for the girlfriends getaway. Everyone appreciated having their own private bed/bath. Home situated amongst the trees/ponds/golf course, Enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the many birds in the morning as we sipped our coffee. Kitchen was fully stocked. Smooth communication with hosts and they responded quickly to questions. Would definitely recommend you check it out~

Nice Property in a Private Golf Community

The property is a villa with another unit attached on the side. It is very quiet. The villa has been partially renovated. There are new floors throughout. The bathrooms are partially remodeled. The master bath has a very old vanity with no drawers. It should have been replaced when the floors were replaced. The view from the house is over a pond and is gorgeous. The kitchen is adequately stocked. The beds are comfortable. Callawassee is absolutely beautiful with an abundance of wildlife, including gators. The three nine hole courses are wonderfully maintained and medium difficulty. There are two clubhouses and two pools. There is a lack of restaurant options on the island (one club open for lunch and one for dinner and both closed a couple of days a week) and off island options are 20 minutes away. All of the residents are extremely friendly and many are renters or part -time residents.
