This is a gem of a hotel. The interior design is impeccable, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we had in Iceland. Its proximity to Strokkur/Geysir (which is less than a five minute walk across the street from the hotel) and Gulfoss (which is a 10-minute drive from the hotel) is icing on the cake. The restaurant is a little pricey, but that's to be expected in Iceland. Bottom line: We would definitely stay here again, and plan to next time we're in the area. The only thing that's slightly odd is that there was no shower in our room, just a (glorious) soaking tub with a shower wand. I actually quite liked it, but we must have missed that note in the listing because we were a little surprised to find such a modern property without a shower. Regardless, it was one of our favorite hotels in Iceland, and I highly recommend it.
