Stayed for one night after seeing a concert at the Indoor Arena. Perfect for that occasion. Easy to park next door to the hotel £15.20 for 24 hours and Arena only a 5 minute walk away. Lots of restaurants (mainly chains) and late night bars (also usual city centre chains) plus Broad Street is also only a couple of minutes walk. Hotel was nice, staff very welcoming and efficient. Room was a little dated and tired looking but for one night not an issue. Don't forget your phone charger, although all the wall sockets in the lobby had USB ports there were none in the room, although they did have LAN line sockets. As I say a little dated but will certainly stop again next time I go to the Arena.
Booked 4 kingsize.. well super kings.. with city views. Views varied.. but generally looked out at sky scrapers or other buildings.. well city view! Rooms had huge beds. Large LED Tv's. Desk area.. chair.. comfy chair. Proper wardrobe with drawers and a light inside. Behind a full length mirror.. secret door.. an iron and board. Plenty of other storage and room. Fridge.. but empty. Safe too. Plenty of other mirrors.. and a fab ensuite. Large shower area.. good pressure and a wide spread. Quality toiletries provided. Very clean and warm. Air con in room. There was some noise late at night from a near by disco.. but not too bad. You are on Broad street.. where everything is! The ICC centre was 3 mins walk. Spar shop and coffee shops nearby.. and loads of eateries. The canal is before the ICC.. and a quick walk to the right following the canal leads to amazing gin bar! The welcome from Georgia on reception was brilliant. Professional, friendly and very welcoming. So helpful and made us feel this wasn't a huge national chain hotel! The breakfasts were excellent. Quality ingredients. And fresh omelettes and other dishes could be ordered.. and made by Terry.. a super friendly chef! He is a star.. making you feel valued and super welcome. Look out for him on the egg area! He deserves a pay rise! The hotel is clean and airy. And the ideal location for exploring the city. Nothing is more than 10 minutes away by foot. The carpark is limited.. so I parked in a Q park next door. Nice and secure and we got a discount from the hotel when checking out. (Just give them your ticket to validate). I would stay here again. Staff amazing. Location perfect. Thank you.
Located well in brindley place Rooms are small, poor views and some of the rooms Iv statues in just face a wall! I stay regularly as I go out in brindley place & broad street often and I like the Hilton brand This is not my favorite hotel but located well
Lovely stay at this hotel for a night out. Perfect location for bars and clubs etc. Room very modern with everything you could need. Fridge & safe are hard to get in hotels in the uk, very pleased with my choice. Can't comment on breakfast. Staff friendly, restaurant reasonable. Will be back.
Decent hotel, good breakfast and very Clean. Only stayed one night but the staff were very helpful and got a few texts to ensure everything was ok with our stay. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.
Our Delegation stayed there for a conference over Easter weekend. As agreed with reservations, pre-orders from the restaurant menu was submitted just after 5.30pm on the day, so as to get a ‘speedy service’ (as quoted by reservations….) A delegation of 14 sat down for evening meal at 6.30, as we had to get to the ICC for 7.45/7.50pm for a speech. There was one started order, Artisan Breads, a cold starter I presume? At 6.40pm, we asked where the wine was, as this was also pre-ordered, this came to the table 10 mins later. At 6.50pm, we asked one of the waitresses as to the progress of the main courses and my starter of breads, she said it is being prepared and will be with us in the next 10mins, as I was getting fed for waiting for my starter, so asked for this to come out with the main courses. At 7.10, we asked Y, Whom I presume was the head waiter? Where the food was, as we needed to get to the ICC by 7.50pm (as was clearly pointed out to the waitress when I first asked). He said he would go check, he never got back to me…. At 7.27, we were now getting ‘very frustrated and angry’ so I went searching for Y. Couldn’t find him so I asked the waitress to get him. He came out, and it was quite clear, he was hot under the collar and panicking, when questioned as to where the food was and why he didn’t get back to me earlier, he was adamant in arguing with me. “They are still cooking it, it takes time to do this, and would you like to cancel the order?” This was his response several times, and instead of handling a bad situation positively, he was persistent in arguing, almost to the point that it seemed he wanted to get rid of us? I asked him to go and find out what time food will be on the table, but this time to come back to me with a precise and accurate time, as now, our delegation will need ‘guzzle’ their food down so as to get to the ICC on time. This also meant that the desserts that were ordered would need to be served when we got back after the speech or cancelled… No positive or clear response was given, he just walked away into the kitchen…. Time was now 7.38pm, our delegation were beyond the point of anger and looking around in the restaurant, so were other delegates, who had been there before we sat at 6.30pm. As I spoke to one table, with 4 delegates, they told me they had been waiting for about 1hr 20mins, for fish and chips. I got up and went to another waitress to cancel our order as our delegation now got up to leave, and as I approached the waitress, there was another table of 3 delegates who sent their food back, as they had been waiting for well over an hour, for fish and chips as well, which was not up to an edible standard. There cannot have been more than 40-45 customers in the restaurant. This is ‘unacceptable’, especially when we pre-ordered and sat at the agreed time. The service was very slow, with no positive communication being conveyed, in fact, to the point of being rude (I know the customer is not always right, but this was a joke). As we left the restaurant and went into reception, I could see some of the delegation from another Association shouting about their wasted time. This is not the only complaints our delegates would want to put forward. Others include a lack of consistency of food items at breakfast, with butter running out on 02/04; noise during the early hours of the morning, as the walls are thin in rooms; tv interference in room 236; no sales of tea/coffee after 10pm, because the hot water had been turned off? I realise that this facility is available in the rooms, but there goes an opportunity to make an extra bit of profit from sales and adding to customer satisfaction; warm bottles of beer The list is non-exhaustive and I’m sure I’ll get to read more from our Delegation and Associations Considering the word ‘GUARANTEED’ seems to be used frequently on a review site from the GM, I doubt that it goes forward to help with training and future incidents/issues. Well, next there’s a Conference held in Birmingham, the Hilton Garden Inn will be able to sell an extra 12 rooms, as our Delegates will go elsewhere, now there’s a loss of £5k plus…
A very positive experience. Book in was quick and easy and Evin made it such a positive experience. He also ensured we were near each other as one of my colleagues was on her own. We stay here as it is near the ICC, but this time was relaxing, friendly and calm and happy. My colleagues and myself especially enjoyed the porridge, made by err, as my friend wanted the recipe, which he was happy to oblige, but the staff ensured everybody was enjoying every aspect of their stay, including breakfast, even on the weekend , when it got busier.
Stayed at the Hilton Brindley Place several times. Check in via Hilton app makes check in process much quicker, reception team friendly and efficient on every visit. Sometimes we can get parked in hotel car park, spaces are limited when full we park in multi storey next door. Hotel validated ticket giving you a discounted rate. Due to close proximity to Broad Street nightlife on this occasion we were woken at 4am and kept awake for sometime by rowdy behaviour in rooms and corridors. They didn’t appear to want to settle down, after a call to hotel reception it was quickly dealt with. It wasn’t the hotels fault for small groups selfish behaviour and the first time we’ve experienced it so don’t be put off. We had breakfast on last day, mostly self service but easy to find your way around. Plenty of staff to ask if anything else needed. Special mention to Terry on the eggs station for my lovely French toast (eggy bread) perfect. And such a friendly guy.
Hilton Garden Inn is within walking distance with light luggage from the New Street railway station. The hotel is close to the canal area offering large variety of different type of restaurants. We checked in early and very helpful receptionist offered us a room that was cleaned and ready. As expected Hilton quality included clean and quiet room and everything worked as expected. Good breakfast as well.
Right from the start the experience staying here was excellent. Reception staff were so helpful. The room was very comfortable equipped with everything. Food and drink was excellent. Breakfast was really good a great selection of food including fresh omelettes. the chef and staff were very good and would get you anything you asked for. All the staff we met were very good . Consistently excellent customer service from all staff.
