Excellent functional room for a one night stay after a show at the Arena. Walking distance to arena, shops, restaurants, transport. Good Buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Seemed that a lot of couples had the same idea to stay here and attend a concert at the arena. Next to canals for sightseeing and while we were there it was a quiet evening - not sure it would always be that way though. Will stay again if visiting a concert to save having to rush home.
I have stayed at the Hilton Garden Hotel before with no issues. This time was different: The shower door broke We were given a new room to use which, when we went to go in later, was occupied We were given complimentary vouchers for breakfast but it was a shambles - a ten minute queue to be seated, tables vacant but not cleared and I had to point out to the head waiter that there were vacant tables right behind him that were ready to be used On check-out I was informed that I needed to pay an extra 9p due to an error by the receptionist on check-in. On the plus side the maintenance man was very helpful. The hotel is in a great location however does not seem to run well when at capacity. The rooms (despite the issue) are clean and comfortable. I will give the hotel another try in future and hope that my recent experience was a one-off.
Booked for a concert at the symphony hall. Brinkley place is near to the canals and a great location with loss of restaurants within walking . The city centre around new street was also only a 15minute walk away. Great staff great breakfast
The hotel is in a good location close to lots of restaurants, shops etc. The room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed - the pillows I had in the room weren't great. Car parking in the hotel was limited and not much space to manoeuvre but is very convenient. Still and sparkling water in hotel room plus tea and coffee. Good atmosphere in the bar and staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
very close to the restaurants and arena so convenient, breakfast huge choise and restaurant nice, the bars are very close and the hotel not far from the station although uphill so you need a taxi from station
Great location nice sized room very comfy bed and bedding. We were in room 209 which looked out onto the front. Staff efficient and friendly. Car parking is available but £15 for 24 hours and the car park is tiny. There is an NCP opposite which is £17 for 24 hours. Fridge in room but no courtesy bottled water for the cost of the room would have been nice to have a 30p bottle of water. No plugs near the bed. Went out for the partners birthday and returned around midnight. Unbeknown to us there is a nightclub next door to the hotel and the music disturbed us until it finished at 03.30am. Then another hour for the noisy crowds and cars revving until 04.30am. Guests to the hotel talking noisily outside until 05.00am. Because we were second floor we could hear everything from outside so not a good night sleep at all. Very disappointing as it isn't a cheap place to stay. If you stay here ask for a high room and to the back. When checking out reception asked us whether we had had a nice stay and when I mentioned all the noise she initially asked whether we had already paid for the car park which we had so she offered us 2 coffees at the restaurant! When we declined she then offered us an upgrade for next time we stayed. I wouldn't choose to stay here again tbh because of the noise. We went for a coffee at a local coffee place and returned having thought about it and asked for the car park to be refunded as a gesture as this was obviously going to be the offer until she realised we had already paid. She agreed to refund it which was appreciated.
Stayed here for work. Nice hotel just off broad street. Reception really smart and quick check in. Got to my room which was large, nice big bed, desk couple of comfy seats too. Bathroom was clean and shower was a large cubical. No bath but i prefer showers anyway. Shower wasn’t very powerful but did the job. Went to hotel bar £5 a pint of lager. Tip is just 4 minutes walk away there are two weatherspoons and an o’neils bar. Breakfast in the morning was help yourself but very nice. Easy check out. All in all a good stay.
Service is awesome, friendly and excellent staff. Everything was pukka! I would recommend anyone at any one time when you think of visiting this West Midlands City. Hope I will meet up with you there because I am going to be a regular and will be happy to share the experience with many others.
Great location. Staff very friendly. Expensive parking and breakfast which adds to initial price. Very small fitness room which was full so I couldn't use it - therefore we would probably have been better staying at the nearby Hampton which was cheaper, had no fitness room but had breakfast incuded. I always try to book a hotel with a gym and pay a little extra but if they're so small you can't use them then it's better choosing a hotel with free breakfast. A good hotel though with good staff and great location.
Stayed here soon many time when in Birmingham, come to think of it I'm back again in 2 days time with the wife as a base when going to the Neil Diamond Concert Surrounded by great restaurants and Broad Street nightlife it is in an ideal location for most needs. Not too far to stroll if you are after the shops Multistorey car park within 2mins walk ticks the box.
