Great place

The stay at this apartment was very nice. Meeting Jose was helpful with information and the location is in old town which is also nice and charming. All the amenities were there and Jose shared with us all the places to go and being a great host. Everything was explained and he was nice. Location is ideal - everything in walking distance!

Convenient apt with most gracious host

The apartment is as described. Very clean. Well appointed oasis in the city. Quite an assortment of food items (teas, coffees, mustards) available too. The best part of this rental is the host, Jose. Such a kind, accommodating person. We needed to leave early in the morning to catch a flight and he met us .... at 6 am! ... to help us. We gave the location only 4 stars because the apt is a bit of a distance (0.3-0.4 miles on cobblestones) from the parking garage. Fine for us but thinking that for some people, that could be a challenge.

The apartment in old town Bilbao was really great; the location and the space itself. The host, Jose, was great too. I arrived early yet he allowed me to leave my suitcase there while I explored the neighborhood and the apartment cleaning was finishing up. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was in a great area and was lovely. Good size, clean, easy to contact the host when needed. One suggestion would be to freshen the place up with new fluffy towels. It is something I have noticed at a lot of these types of accommodations. Trust me, people will notice. The other suggestion is that if the vrbo listing says check out is noon, then it is noon. Not 10 am, not 11 am. NOON. So plan for your nexts guests and cleaners with that in mind and don’t bother the guests in there now or show up at the door early. Don’t even ask what time we plan to leave. That is our business, not yours.

Well equipped & furnished apartment in the old town, with close access to the Mercado de la Ribera, the tram and walkway to the Guggenheim. We stayed very comfortably with 2 young kids. Being located in Casco Viejo gave us the added benefit of the old city with super easy access via metro, trambia, and Renfe (train). You really don't need a vehicle. It was cozy and fit the 5 of us (toddler in bed with us) with ease. Being the first floor apartment was excellent for ease in and out with said toddler and all of the stomping she does. Jose was easy and amazing to communicate with. He was eager to share sites to see and suggestions for trips. Very helpful when a first timer in Bilbao! Would absolutely recommend to my network of art/culture/old vs new crew of travellers!!! Muchas gracias, Jose!!!!

Centrally located in old town. Apartment was clean and functional. Jose was very helpful and bought new pillows and changed the bed sheets again after our first night but the smell was still strong. We decided to cut short our stay and he refunded us the money for the last couple of nights.

Our host couldn't have been more accommodating! We got lost on our way there and Jose was patient and helpful. (Be sure to use Bilbao in the search address, not just the street name.) The lovely apartment had perfect location in the Old Gothic Quarter, near shops, restaurants and attractions: across the street from the Ribera market, great walk along the river to the Guggenheim Museum and Santiago Calatrava's Zubiziri bridge, and to Casco Viejo for Pinxtos.
