Clean and Quiet

The house is clean and close to amenities but far enough away from the noise of higher occupancy rentals in town. Very relaxing stay.

Great location but no direct access to lake from property. Way too many cobwebs inside the master bedroom. Critters made hole in garbage bag while we were sleeping. Plenty of towels. great hot tub. water pressure sucks. overall, they should keep up the property better.

Beautiful Location

This house was beautiful inside and updated, and was a VERY close walk to the edge of the water. The property was quiet and private, but also had a fun game room!

Excellent costumer service, Gorgeous view, beautiful place, great renovated kitchen. We enjoyed our stay very much and will rent it again and highly recommend it to all friends and family. I would add more silverware to the kitchen, some disposable tableware, salt and pepper.

Great family fun

The house was great but for us the property was most amazing! Huge fenced yard- the children (2-10 years l) spent hours playing in the snow sliding on their disks and building snow men. The lake view is beautiful- great property.

Wonderful property and great communication

The property was perfect for our family of ten. The location was great as it was near downtown Big Bear and the Bowling Barn. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. Also we appreciated the supplies that were there so we could do laundry and run the dishwasher multiple times. Beds were comfortable too! Overall very nice stay!

Great house on a huge property

We had a great time, house was cozy and clean and everything worked. Kitchen and master bedroom were the highlights. Didn't use the guest house but would be fine for bigger kids. Property is huge and very private.

We had a great time. The place was nicely decorated and clean. One of the closet doors was off its hinge but it wasn't a big deal. It was a very hot weekend. One more fan would have been nice but all in all it was a very nice place to stay. I would recommend it! Location was great, near the village and near Boulder Bay which was great!

Rustic Cabin, Spacious Property

House is updated, especially for the area. Very nice bedding, finishes. Working fireplaces. Sits on at least 2 acres with lake access out the back gate. Centrally located in Big Bear Lake. Hot tub works great. Lake views, dog friendly.

I want to start out by saying we enjoyed our stay. It was not perfect, but we would say the pros outweighed the cons. This property had everything we needed to have a nice vacation, but we did feel like it could use some TLC. Here are the PROS: The property was spacious, with large grounds, and was gated. It felt very private. We appreciated the 4 bathrooms (anyone who has travelled with a group knows the more bathrooms- the better). The kitchen had nice natural light and had been updated. We could see the lake from the property. The bathrooms and linens were all very clean. We loved the location, it was very convenient.CONS: The land on the property was not well maintained, and there was random junk on the property. The deck needs painted. We could not get the jets in the hot tub to work, and it did not appear to have chlorine in it. In one guest bedroom, there was a large crack in the lamp, and missing knob on the dresser. Most of the cons could be easily corrected, and we hope that they are because it really is a wonderful place that many people can make great memories at!

The host, AvantStay, was very responsive to requests we had regarding the rental. We stayed 9 days and for the first couple of days the WiFi was out more than it was working. We contacted the host and they immediately came out, contacted spectrum, and that day had the issue resolved. Picked up over 30 roofing nails and screws from the outside decks. Hot water would intermittently go out but it was an easy fix. Kitchen could use some additional silverware, very few forks and spoons. Dishwasher has some issues. Better to clean dishes by hand. Shower head in master bath barely worked. Removed it and had a better shower without it. Reported all of these issues to Avant during our stay. All of that being said, we had an amazing time. House location was great. Right on the lake. Huge property. Very secluded. Very close to the village and downtown. Stocked with plenty of bath and jacuzzi towels, trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash all provided. Gas fireplaces in living room and master bedroom were amazing. Rained almost everyday during our trip so we stocked up on firewood, gathered around the fireplace, watched movies and played games. Jacuzzi was great. Would definitely stay there again.
