We were very happy with our two nights stay, room are well equipped with nice bathrooms, beds quite comfortable and staff efficient. Breakfast is very good and plentiful with some daily changes. Price/position range is definitely fair.
Disaster check-in procedure with unpolite staff (lasy), compact room, poor breakfast style, mini reception with unhappy queing guests, only german newspapers, room-water for EUR4,90 per bottle are disqualifying that hotel from my further list
I booked this hotel thanks to Smartbox. Nice location 500 from underground. Cleen and good breakfast. In ITALY some hotels as this are considerated 4 stars. From my point of view, good balance qualità/Price.I suggest it.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The room was either too hot or too cold. No air conditioning, the window does open. I can't believe Mercury own this hotel, it has the character of a guest house. We made the mistake of using the green housekeeping door sign. Their were 2 signs one which you hung outside to say don't clean the room. However the title of this sign was GREEN HOUSEKEEPING. It should say hang on door for NO HOUSEKEEPING! After making this mistake we returned to a room with no fresh towels, the mini bar wasn't checked, the shower gel was EMPTY, the rubbish bin was full. While I appreciate the reusing of towels where necessary to not check anything in the room at all is a bit more than GREEN HOUSEKEEPING. Accidentally we advertised to save the planet, we still needed toilet rolls, we may have emptied the minight bar, NOTHING was attended too. May I add to this we received no discount. The bedroom was a twin, for two people it was uncomfortably small. Their was no main source of light apart from bedside lamps. Power sockets were in short supply. On the second day of our stay we had no sign on the door, sadly we had the aggressive chamber maid knocking on the door asking when we were leaving and did we want to our room cleaned. It's a shame their was on cross check the day before. The breakfast was a dissapointment, on arriving 1 hour before finish to the very small dining hall most foods were empty. The waiter was very friendly and after asking for scrambled eggs which arrived after 10 minutes the people who walked in took most of them. The bacon was also empty as was the selection of breads. I wouldn't bother with breakfast again, unreplenished askin for refills wasn't a good experience. The welcome from the waiter was nice however he was very, very LOUD, the entire hotel knew I had requested scrambled eggs, it was early in the morning after a late night, the experience was like that of an autumn house. Some positives, location to rail stations is good, gay life right on the doorstep. Staff were extremely polite and helpfu,l although a warm smile would have been the icing on the cake from them. I wouldn't stay here again, temperature issues and poor Breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Don't bother with the breakfast, try a local coffee shop instead.
I do recommend this hotel as one of the best choices for Berlin city-center, especially the gay party area. All perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast, friendly service,... To sum up - all ok ! We are looking forward to staying there again !
10mins walk and you are in the main shopping areas of Berlin, therefore a good location, rooms are good, still use an old fashioned key!! rooms are ok in size, with the usual, mini bar, safe, twin beds, that are comfortable, breakfast is on offer, but didnt take this up, bathroom has a shower wet room, and the shower is powerful , staff are friendly, managed to park the car outside the hotel , as i say, a really good location, which for 10mins outside central Berlin, can save you on the cost of the room
We always enjoy staying at this relatively small hotel. The staff are always friendly and efficient, and the rooms are adequate, quiet and very clean. Convenient location for West Berlin and for the U-bahn.
The hotel is close to the Nollendorfplatz with good options to eat. I have tried a small kebab place close by and it was very good. It is also close to KdW mall. The room was spacious but the furniture was old though the bed was ok. The bathroom was clean but not state of the art. Staff was friendly and they were nice to give me the room a bit before the check in time.
We have stayed here several times before so we deliberately booked a Prestige room in order to get air conditioning. Having checked in we went to the room and found the air conditioning was not working. Thinking it was faulty we went to reception only to be told that no air conditioning was working as it is being renovated. There had been no warning on the website, no email in advance, no advice at reception and the website was still selling rooms for that night with air conditioning. When we checked out we were told that we get a refund. Why weren’t we told that earlier? Very poor management.
Centrally located in quiet area but close to bars and eating options. Hotel spotless despite ongoing renovation works. Breakfast options fine. Comfortable room with great shower .Reception and cleaning staff friendly.
