Centrally located in quiet area but close to bars and eating options. Hotel spotless despite ongoing renovation works. Breakfast options fine. Comfortable room with great shower .Reception and cleaning staff friendly.
The hotel was undergoing maintenance throughout the day. The noise from the work meant we did not need a wake up alarm. The work carried on through out the day which did not let us sleep or stay in the hotel. None of this was mentioned on the booking website.
The lobby is too small. The elevator service is only one. The common toilet is below the lobby and you need a key to use it. The dining area is crowded. The rooms is quite big, with a comfortable bed. The batroom is small but with pleasant tiles. There are only two rooms with airconditioning units. Food has little variety but with fruit as dessert.
Staying with the Accor Hotels this trip to Europe from Australia so we are checking all the different levels of comforts. This Hotel is in a great location and walking distance to all forms of transport and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We always look for 3 things 1-location is 10 out 10 as it's so close to the train station. 2- good amenities which the room had 3- VFM value for money Room was very clean along with a bathroom that had a great shower. The only comment was no air condition in the room which is fine but a fan would have helped. Checkin staff were great and made you feel welcome which is great when you have had a long flight. As a Accor plus member it was what we are expecting so we continue to support the groups hotels and always nice to get the welcome drink. Great value for Money so Keep up the great work Accor plus and Mecure Berlin.
Hotel is in a great location, within walking distance from many restaurants, gourmet food mall, many shopping malls. It is 1 street away from the main street which is great as no car noise can reach. I had a corner room which was spacy, and had no complaints as such - other than the room being right opposite the lift, hence all the noise could be heard within the room. Service from the staff during breakfast was good. No other meals are served in this hotel.
As Accor Gold Card Member we sent an e-mail to hotel in advance asking for early check-in and similar privileges related to the Card holder's status. Arrived to hotel 22.6. around at 10 a.m. due to early flight and asked for the room to check-in. The young female staff member told us that they are fully booked and we should return back at 3 p.m. which is the official check-in time. When we asked that is there any possibilities for earlier check-in due to the Gold Card and because we waked already at 4 a.m. in the morning due to flight the reply was the same - we are fully booked. Hey - if I would run the hotel I would make some priorities and would clean first the rooms for Accor Members and especially for the loyal Gold and Platinum Members. But here not. Thanks for the great first impression! The entire front desk staff followed during our 4 night stay the same great customer service priciples meaning totally lacking of any service capabilities. The young male assistant was always flashing his smile just for 1 brief second signalling "Hey I am now super friendly for You" and after that the same ice cold service with no smile at all. He should be filmed and see how extremely annoying that is. Very very bad service indeed... When leaving the hotel the front desk staff - the young male and the female with glasses - did not bother to say even goodbye for us. It was much more important chatting with each others. Great thanks for the Gold Card members! So do not bother to come here for the service... As hotel Manager I would either fire the reception desk staff or then put them to very efficient customer service education starting from the very basic things. Apparently the present staff has not got any training for customer service, not even on the basic level. The staff at the breakfast room was the opposite. They really had much of work (unlike the reception desk staff) but always had smiles and were very friendly.
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Once again I found the staff very friendly and helpful in all things. The knowledge of the staff at reception was good and they were able to give money saving advice as well as local restaurants and eateries which I found offered great food.
I messed up an online booking to the Mecure Zentrum Hotel in Berlin. The two young staff members who served us were brilliant. They helped us in spite of being heavily booked and found us a sister hotel for our last two days. Our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. Our deal included break a fast in house and a 3 course meal each night at a small Italian Restaurant down the road for €44 each per night. Breakfast is healthy, offers a wide number of options and a pretty decent coffee. The hotel is located in Berlin's Gay district and very close to the Nollendorf Platz underground station on the U2 Line. It is close to the beautiful Zoo and aquarium, Potsdam Platz, the Brandenburg Gates. The metro system is easy to use and it's worth buying a 7 day ticket for 3 zones to go all over the city and as far afield at Potsdam. Mecure gets a huge YES vote from me. Try it!
Good room size Quiet area and close to the U-bahn so very easy to go everywhere Lot of bars and restaurants around the hotel Nice breakfast with lot of choice Furniture looks a little old need some refurbishement
Nice hotel in a quiet area of Berlin. Room was just right and very clean and comfy bed & pillows. Bathroom was nice and a good shower would stay here again . Didn't eat in the breakfast bar so cannot judge that but overall impressed
