the trend is to cut the overall costs, and that reflects the quality standards that apply....at this moment, some of the previous benefits)included) are now only available for extra money. the Hotel has no restaurant....
Very good Hotel and excellent location. Well trained staff and they all were very helpful. I will visit again. All amenities were very close station is close as well. Room quality was super and breakfast too.
The location of the hotel is not the greatest and it took an hour to get to potsdamer platz with public transport. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.
This is a good tourist class hotel in the area of Neukoln. South of Kreuzberg, the quieter new hipster area. Famous for it experimental Neukölner Opera. The Rudower Strasse is more of a residential area but there is a subway station of the 7 subway line nearby as there is a galleria mall and many other shops. Restaurants (Mexican and a Mc Donalds among others) at walking distance. Comfortable standard tourist class rooms with all amenities that can be expected such as phone, in room kettle and free instant coffee and tea. Medium sized flat screen TV, bath tub with shower mounted in the bath tub, in room safe, luggage stand, room to unpack, desk and chair.
We stayed here for four nights on a long weekend break in Berlin. It's a good hotel with helpful staff. The rooms are a good size, clean with all the amenities you'd expect. The breakfast is good and served in a friendly manner. Downside, location is difficult. If you have a car it's probably not a problem but it is a fair walk to the nearest underground station. But the neighbourhood is pleasant to so not a massive problem. They don't do evening meals but there is a Mexican restaurant next door and an Italian and Chinese up the road [and a McDonalds if you've desperate]. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
We needed a place to stay in Neukölln/Mariendorf area and this one seemed to fit us. It was really affordable. We arrived late so the parking lot was full but there is plenty of space for roadside parking. There is McDonald's next door and Aldi supermarket just couple hundred meters down the road. We had friendly but not that personal service. It's not a new hotel anymore but the room was comfortable enough to accommodate us. For the rate we paid we were perfectly satisfied.
Stayed at the Leonardo for the weekend. It is roughly 20 mins away from Schonefeld airport. Get the 171 bus from the airport, will cost 3.10 Euros. The bus stop is right opposite the hotel. You won't miss it. Located a few doors down from McDonald's which is perfect if you arrive late. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They looked after our bags for a few hours after our check out time which was really helpful. You can get bus tickets from the reception for zones a and b which take you to Berlin. Get a travel card for 7 euros because the public travel system is so easy to use so it's the best way to get around. The rooms were clean and totally adequate for your needs. We were in room 217 looking out onto the road. We did not hear any traffic so it was peaceful. And the shower was very good. There is not much to do around the hotel, if you walk up to the Ubahn there is a shopping centre but bare in mind it will be closed on Sundays. Overall we had a great stay and loved Berlin.
Had a mini break in Berlin and the Leonardo had everything we needed. Friendly staff, clean rooms and a peaceful night's sleep. Would stay here again. Didn't use the bar but the restaurant next door was nice enough. Had an Aldi's within walking distance. FYI you can buy travelcards at reception
stayed here for 3 nights with Family - Booked a double and Twin Room - Double was 2 single pushed together - although nice and comfy - did have tea and coffee facilities however we had sachets of coffee , 1 sugar and 2 creamers , not many of the staff understood English - and they were not very helpful - to get about and see the sights you had to use Public Transport - you can purchase tickets at the Hotel - No one told us this - we found out on the Underground
We booked this budget hotel as a place to dump our stuff and sleep in during our visit. We knew we wouldn't spend much time in any hotel we visited so got the cheapest deal we could find. It was a situated in the suburbs and outside the s bahn ring, but was only a 10 minute bus journey on the 171 to Neukolln station which was. It was also well located for the airport - only a 15 minute car ride or 30 minute bus journey on the 171. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and allowed us to leave our stuff at the hotel for free after checking out. The room didn't have anything like a minibar or a fridge but it was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. My favourite thing about the room was the large windows - normally when you get a cheap room it is dark and the windows overlook some drab courtyard, but this room was light and bright which really made a difference to our experience. We overlooked a busy road - which didn't really affect us as the windows were double glazed and we are used to living on a main road anyway - however, it could get annoying in the summer if you needed to keep the windows open. I didn't see any air conditioning so keeping the windows open in the summer months would be a possibility. I was really pleased with our stay and would recommend it for others on budget weekend trips!
