Excellent spacious place to stay which matched the description perfectly. It is well worth the climb (it's on the 4th floor, no lift). Helpful and responsive host. The kitchen is well equiped. Excellent central heating - the apartment warmed up quickly. The roof terrace looks as though it would be good in the summer. 15 minutes walk to Berlin Hautbanhof. Lots of restaurants around, including a good Italian one on the ground floor of the block. Lidl within 300m.

Amazing stay in Berlin

We had a great experience staying here. The apartment was convenient to many sights and restaurants. It was so close to multiple transportation types which made travel around the city easy and accessible. The space itself had all the amenities we could have wanted which made our stay amazing!

Great apartment in good location

The apartment was perfect for my stay in Berlin. It’s located within walking distance to so many sights and public transport. Check-in process easy and host responded quickly to fix issue with internet. Would definitely stay here again. Be advised there are 3 flights of stairs with no lift. It was quiet and bright with comfy bed!!

Fantastic location and quirky apartment

We had a wonderful stay here and a real bonus was the very spacious roof terrace - we had great weather so it was fabulous. The apartment is quite small but has everything you need. Having a washing machine was also really good. It’s worth noting that this is an attic flat. We are in our late 50s and did find the climb up three floors quite tiring after a long day out sightseeing.

The apartment is on the fourth floor - no elevator - which is stated in the listing. It has lots of windows and a balcony - kind of like being in a tree house and I loved that part. The kitchen is well stocked and the washing machine was great add. You have access to a courtyard - so we were able to rent bikes and store them with no worries. If you need dark to sleep this is not the place for you - there is no way to block the light. The bedding could be improved.

Very well located. Some people may need assistance hauling their luggage up the 5 flights. An umbrella or two in the suite would be a welcome addition. Otherwise, well supplied with a lovely terrace to enjoy when the sun shines.

Charming Suites was a great choice for our 4 night stay in Berlin. We found it clean, organized, and comfortable. Train station is a 15 min. walk. The WiFi password was not communicated to us with the check-in instructions, but worked well after we stopped in at Thimm’s office to ask for it. . Grocery store (Liedel) is around the corner as are other stores & restaurants. FYI: there are 60 plus steps to take to get to the apt. & no elevator. Great exercise if you’re in shape. We’d choose this place again. It was perfect for us.

ok but worse than expected

we found this studio to be ok and good enough but unfortunately: - flat cleaning was not done or was done very poorly before we arrived - no shower gel or shampoo or a kettle - some photos were misleading (looks like some photos are not the photos of this studio) - the bathroom smelled, so my morning shower was not very nice - the flat is very bright which helps you get up early but if you need darkness to get a good night sleep, then there is no way to achieve it in there, so you will need an eye mask - I had to go through the cabinets to find us some towels (they weren't prepared as usual) - we got a wifi pass but it didn't work with any available networks, so we effectively didn't have wifi at all (this was not a problem for us, just disappointing)

Charming is a good description

The apartment was bright and cheery, and very well located. We were able to walk to many sites, such as the Brandenburg Gate and under den Linden street. There is a nice terrace and once we figured out how to open the sliding glass door(pull it into the room, then slide it open) we enjoyed it as well. There is a market and drugstore right around the corner for supplies, The TXL bus from the airport stops a block away. There are 4 flights of stairs and no elevator, so take that into consideration. Overall we couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Berlin! Mike and Lynn, USA

Cute, private apartment in a nice location

We really enjoyed our stay, and this location provided easy walking access to sites like Tiergarten and the river venues. The apartment felt private and perfect for a couple on retreat. The process to get in and out of the apartment was very fast and easy. Be aware that there is no elevator, so you have to be willing and able to walk a lot of tight steps to reach the room.

We loved our stay in Berlin and the apartment was so central - as well as being spacious, bright and airy! As we were only there for 3 nights, we didn't make use of the kitchen area or TV using it more as just a place to sleep and shower after long, long days of walking. However, it was wonderful returning each day as it was very clean, quiet and comfy - particularly the bed! We plan to return for longer at some stage and would have no hesitation in rebooking this little gem! The only thing to beware of is when you come back at night and try to find the light for the staircase - it's not easy and I ended up ringing someone else's doorbell twice (!) thinking it was a light switch! We gave up in the end and made our way up in darkness each night.
