Very basic, relatively cheap hotel. Clean but with plumbing problems ... water leak from the sink. In another room the knob that lifts the plug in the sink was missing. Sink was blocked with the plug and the water couldn't drain.

Slightly shabby and blisteringly hot. The room was too hot no matter how the thermostat was adjusted. Corridors and stairwells were hot and reeked of cigarette smoke. Booked online in a B&B hotel only to find on arrival that breakfast was not included and cost an extra EU10.50 per person. Entry off the street was open 24 hours but not monitored.

Perfectly adequate

This hotel is perfectly adequate if you're going to be out most of the day like we were. The hotel in general is a bit dated but the rooms were practical and clean. The shower was a bit rusty but nothing awful. The rooms do get incredibly hot even when it is cold outside. It is quite loud to sleep with the window open so you have to choose between being hot or it being loud! Overall, it is fine. I think it is a bit expensive for what it is but was one of the cheapest options we could find.

Originally given a twin room when we booked a double room. The room was basic but clean but overlooked a flat roof that was strewn with vegetation and rubbish. When we complained we were given what we booked, being advised that this was a common problem with the Hotels.com website. The new room was in the attic and the air conditioning did not work, so the room was hot. As such, we had to leave the window open wide all evening.

10 Day Stay B and B Hotel Berlin-Ost

A friendly hotel to stay at a budget price. As UK visitors our only issue was the lack of a kettle to make hot drinks in your room. Staff friendly and rooms clean. Our room at the back was very quiet.

This was a good hotel for us to stay prior to going to see the sights in Berlin. The water was great for the shower and there is body was provided. When we set out the next morning they provided luggage lockers for 1 euro. The euro was returned once the key was returned. Staff was very friendly. Only down side to this hotel was the air conditioning did not blòw very hard. Other tha that it was a very good stay and I would recommend to anyone.

Hotel at reasonable cost in heart of the Fredrichshein district of Berlin which is full of ethnic restaurants, treelined streets, interestingly painted buildings, and local bookshops. Directly opposite a U-Bann stop with easy access from their to Alexanderplatz, and the western areas of the city in one direction, and a quick but somewhat complicated transfer to Ostcruz, a train stop to the airport. Really good breakfast included in the price.

We arrived at the Best Western Hotel City Ost only to discover the hotel was closed. Apparently it had been closed for several months. We were NEVER notified, how can this be possible? I am blind and I rely upon Orbitz to provide me with accurate information so I can travel safely. I Eventually I was able to contact another BEst Western and they found a transferred reservation. This should NEVER have happened. Luckily I am an experienced traveler; I am also very resourceful. I can only imagine the panic and anxiety, and trauma such circumstances would provoke in most blind or otherwise handicapped tourists. In my opinion, this was a failure on the part of Orbitz, someone in your organization should have known the property was closed. I had to track down the reservation, and pay additional transportation costs in order to arrive at the Best Western Hotel in Der Mitte. This is entirely unacceptable; you MUST be more thorough when listing hotels: no one should arrive at a hotel with a confirmed paid reservation only to find the doors shuttered, no staff, and no information.
