For a budget ok it's fine but when you are paying a central London rate you are going to get rated accordingly. My first challenge on arriving at 8 pm was no one on the desk which was then compounded by the fact that the hotel informed that it was a 10 minute walk to any restaurant when in fact it is just the next road up to a reasonable set of choices. Room had no air con and no iron just when I needed one. Room is clean although bathroom a bit tired. I'm sure if you paid half of what I did then it would be fine.

Highly recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer. Room on 3rd flr was very spacious, generous size bathroom. Staff on arrival and departure were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choices with fresh hot food (bacon, eggs, sausages) constantly being replenished. Only one small negative comment is noise between rooms that had (locked) an inter-connecting door. Both talking and Tv could be heard. Short taxi ride into the town/castle was 6 pounds.

This hotel ticks all the boxes for food, rooms and location. Great weekend with friends for races and sites. Only minor point - group of female middle-aged people thought it was ok to attend breakfast in PJ's. Perhaps dress code needs implementing.

We stayed here for a long weekend to explore Windsor and this hotel is an excellent base just to do that. The town centre is about 15 minute walk from the hotel. With this hotel chain you know what to expect but while this hotel is on the small side it has great feel to it with very friendly reception staff to greet you when you arrive. The hotel is Clean and the rooms are a generous size making it easy to relax on your stay. One tip from me is that the hotel parking is under ground and it's a tight squeeze with lift up to the hotel reception. The hotel itself was quite and relaxing after a full day out and about around Windsor. All the staff were friendly and speaks to you as you pass them. Also the bar area was comfortable and inviting and the inclusion buffet style breakfast can be made to go if needed. All in all this was a excellent trip and the hotel was good value for the money, would stay have again when next in the area.

My wife and I stayed at the holiday inn express Windsor for one night to attend our daughters university graduation. We were very pleasantly surprised. The location was excellent, the staff friendly and the room was in my view excellent for the money we paid. It was clean, comfortable and the bathroom and shower were brilliant. Would not hesitate in returning there

Bed room was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Breakfast ok. Parking available but a tight squeeze you would have to be a confident driver. Parking is under ground. Short walk aprrox 15- 20mins into Windsor.

If you're looking for a place to spend the night during a Heathrow layover, I would suggest this hotel, especially if you'd like to do some sightseeing. The hotel was clean and had a good breakfast. It was walking distance to Windsor Castle, and just a 20 to 30 minute ride to Heathrow. Hint: get tickets to Windsor Castle ahead of time, because you can't purchase online tickets on the day of (as far as I know).

We received a warm friendly welcome upon arrival and as the tiny car park was full we took the advice of staff and parked for free across the road (it was a Sunday so parking was free overnight until 8am on Monday) The service, facilities, cleanliness and location of the hotel can not be faulted. Our room was unfortunately above the entrance door so throughout the night there was noise from people parking, talking, smoking etc which made for a poor nights sleep. Breakfast was great, especially the bacon and croissants but in my opinion could be improved by substituting the beans with fresh cooked vegetables such as tomatoes or mushrooms. We did not try the bar or other meals but did enjoy sitting in the patio area and watching the parakeets! I would have awarded 5 stars if there had been more parking (tricky to resolve TBH) the breakfast was tweaked slightly and our room had been quieter (maybe at the back?) but I would not hesitate to stay again and recommend this hotel to a friend.

Our room was at the top, with a single lift accessing it, led to longer wait times for the lift as the hotel was fully booked. Our room was clean, very warm, with the window open, we woke by passing traffic around 7am The loss of star ratings were for; A) the shower- the water pressure was poor and would pulse from weak to medium, constantly, thus a poor shower was achieved B) the breakfast was help yourself buffet, cold and hot with breads. The sausages labelled Cumberland were tasteless (my partner thought they were vegetarian) , the bacon was very dry and tasteless. I appreciate location and Ascot weekend put the prices up, but I have eaten many travel lodge breakfast's and all were a better quality. Like most guest we did not raise the issue of the shower as it was only used in the morning, but I would suspect the cleaners would have flagged this? If these problems were not present 4* The staff were pleasant and polite and a compliment to the hotel.

We found the staff extremely helpful during our stay and the hotel clean with a good selection at breakfast. We visited the gardens at Cliveden, which is nearby. All in all a very convenient hotel and one I would not hesitate to recommend
