Our first visit to the Oberoi in Bangalore to have a Sunday afternoon drink. Vignnesh guided us to a very nice table overlooking the vast gardens of the hotel, with a small waterfall and pond filled with carp a few feet from our table. I enjoyed a cappuccino, my wife a pot of peppermint tea along with the infamous Indian baked yogurt with fresh fruit. The view, well-prepared drinks and dessert combined with the warm and personal touch & great service from Vignnesh made our visit to the Polo Bar fantastic. Looking forward to the next time!
I have visited this hotel while on business on many occasions. All is as lovely as it was when I first stayed here some 15 plus years ago. The grounds, pool and restaurants are peaceful in a crazy city. Service, food quality, ambiance are first class. I used the complimentary airport transfer upon leaving and was very glad to have Edwin present as there were check in issues with an over booked flight. From collection at the airport to departure, the Oberoi again surpassed itself.
Good breakfast and food in the resturang. Room was clean and nice view. Quiet room despite traffic outside. The staff were very service minded. Nice garden and pool area. Close to shopping and resturants.
First time in this hotel - stayed in plenty of others in Bangalore. This hotel beat my expectations and I will certainly be using it again. Great services, loved the room, loved the iPad in the room. The gardens and bird song made a lovely background to the evening.
I keep visiting the hotel and other than maybe a little minor cases they are excellent. I have stayed in their normal and premiere rooms. All rooms are linked by apple home and have iPads.. the premiere rooms also have a sauna in the shower... the only minor thing I found missing was that sometimes I need a steam iron to take off a minor crease in my suit, or need a shoe shiner, they are not available.. but excellent ambience in the hotel, great rooms and awesome service...
With international business travel, we tend to focus on getting from meeting to meeting, dinner to dinner, and just look at a hotel as a resting point. Upon arrival at 4am half asleep, the care and personal service was different. Check in was very efficient with focus on helping me prepare for a good night sleep. The room even had a thermos of warm milk tea (or hot chocolate...just remember was very nice to sleep). After awaking the next morning, I exited the room to find immediate attention. The attendees asked about my night and walked me to the restaurant down 4 floors and another 50m. Very helpful insight to understand how best to support my visit. The personal service continued over 3 days with notable mentions including a sampler plate from the Thai buffet, attention to detail at the Polo club for a late dinner and breakfast each morning. The hotel rooms are very well equipped and grounds were well manicured taking advantage of the large trees and local plants. I look forward to a return trip and now have OBEROI on my short list of preferred properties.
I really enjoyed our stay at the Oberoi and the staff made it so pleasant that it felt like being at home i.e. home away from home. Some staff even commented that we had become like family and they were so sad to see us leave. Staff at all levels are so well trained and well mannered and are very professional.
The Oberoi staff make this hotel one of the best I have stayed in. Nothing is too much bother and they pre-empt your every need before you even know yourself what you require. The food is delicious and the spa treatments fab. The rooms are a little tired, but everything else is perfect!
The Oberoi Bangalore is one of the finest hotels in the world, with its garden setting in the heart of the city providing an oasis of calm. What makes this hotel particularly special is the attention to detail by every one of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they provide personal service at every opportunity. The food in all of the restaurants is exceptionally good, but particular praise should go to the Thai restaurant in its magical setting. I visit Bangalore three to four times a year, and The Oberoi is always my first choice.
Aptly located, amazing service, always smiling ladies and gentlemen, elegant in its outdoors and smartly done indoors. The tab was first of its kind experience! Highly recommended for everyone including business and family.
