I can't say enough about what an absolute gem of a hotel this is. The Grand Mercure is a bit off the beaten path in the Koramangala section of Bangalore, but it's well worth the small extra bit of travel to get to and from there. The hotel is located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, with low traffic and clean air. There's an immaculately maintained and completely safe park right across the street, where you can walk laps or just sit and enjoy. The hotel itself is spotlessly maintained, and the rooms are very comfortable. I've stayed in both the studio and one-bedroom suite rooms for extended periods, and found both of them wonderful. I always felt very well taken care of by the staff, who frequently follow up to see how I'm doing. There are two restaurants in the hotel. The main restaurant serves three meals a day, including the free breakfast that comes with most stays. The restaurant staff are awesome, and give me space just to be alone when I need it, while making sure I'm well take care of. The other restaurant is by the pool - it's a beautiful, isolated area which has a great brunch on Sunday. I can't recommend this hotel enough. It's truly my home away from home in Bangalore, and I hope to return whenever I am in the city.
I stayed in the Grand Mercure for 6 months and found the staff to be very helpful. The rooms are comfortable with a separate bedroom and living area, bathroom and small kitten area. A microwave is provided although no oven. The amenities at the hotel are good, although sometimes the pool is split in half to accommodate swimming lessons. There is a choice of two restaurants within the hotel which offer a range of local dishes along with western choices. The transport provided by the hotel is very expensive. The location is excellent, in a quiet, residential area of Koramongala but you can easily walk to local restaurants and the Forum Mall. I would definitely return to the hotel.
Grand Mercure is located in the heart of Koramangala. The rooms are very well maintained, they have a sumptuous buffet spread for breakfast and dinner and the staff are extremely cooperative. All in all, this gives you a fantastic experience
Not worth at the price. Too old and no matter how much you complain, the rooms are too noisy. The reception desk support is full of surprises and no matter what you booked or committed the reception desk is always right and will ignore your support.
Short Smooth and Comfortable. Was there only for few hours checked in very late and was welcomed by the Lobby Manager - Monish. He ensured that my preference was taken well care of and I was allotted smoking room which I missed to request earlier along with reservation. Very genuine person. Loved the ambience and the location. Had a very lovely sleep - Room was comfortable and then lovely breakfast spread. Was delighted to meet Monish again on departure. Will love to visit again. Thank you Grand Mercure Team
Rooms are clean and well maintained. Great service was being provied in restaurent. Stayed for 1 night in 221 which was smoking room which was great. Breakfast was not upto the mark. By the blue restaurent is too good for party and other rockey functions. Really appreciate service which was provided by Pratik as he helpedme in booking cab and did followup with the ola driver about the location as i was in hurry for airport. He also assisted me with luggages and gave me a wark and heart touching goodbye as well.
After 30 years in hotels, you begin to learn what is most important in a business stay, and it is rarely about opulence. Mostly, it’s about making weary road-warriors smile after a long flight. It’s about giving them the impression that they are entering a zone of safety, comfort, care and professional friendliness. After a week in this hotel, I can tell you that every single employee I have met, from the GM to the parking officer, is dedicated to making you feel welcome, happy, rested, delighted, and at home. Nothing on Earth can beat the feeling you have when at home with your family; but these guys excel at coming as close to that as any hotel can. So I am arranging to get my family to come here; then my joy will be complete.
We stayed for a long weekend, and can't fault the hotel, Very attentive. The rooms are very clean and a good size, and the staff couldn't do enough for you, whether it was booking taxis, or recommending the best places to visit, very good staff. We especially enjoyed breakfast, it catered for everyone, they made waffles and pancakes and eggs to order, and several indian dishes too, whilst also providing a variety of continental style breakfasts with pastries, cereal and donuts, and more indian style buffet breakfast. There was a very attentive member of staff (can't remember his name) who let us try lots of different indian dishes, and explained them all to us, all freshly prepared, they were all delicious. Must say they make the best pancakes ever as well! so fluffy! The only thing was the door bells in the room are really loud, jumped out of my skin every time!
